1964 6 Door Econoline Van
Make This Your Mystery Machine
Straight 6
Three Speed on The Tree (Column Shift)
Runs and Drives with Current Registration
I took this van in trade so I do not know the history of it. It does run and the motor sounds good. The shifter linkage on the column is wore out so you have to use some finesse while changing gears. The brakes work well for an old rig. It does not handle the best at higher speeds (65 MPH) but it is drivable.
The gauges all work but the wiring under the dash is a mess. Blinkers worked but I do not know about the rest.
Has an old aftermarket stereo that is not hooked up and may not work.
The heater core is there but the rest of the heater is missing.
I removed the carpet and paneling from the rear so I could take better pictures.
There is major rust on the driver side rocker and the posts for the rear doors.
Installation of the rear side windows is not the best.
Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs and arrangements. Van is located in Sandpoint Idaho zip code 83860.
As I stated above I do not know the history on this vehicle and  I have tried to described it as best I can. Please check the pictures over carefully and ask questions as pictures tend to make things look better. I encourage you check the vehicle out in person or make arrangements for someone to do so.  My number is 907-328-9195 if there is any further information I can give.

Ford cleans up painting process with cameras

Thu, 22 Aug 2013

Knowing how the bacon gets made rarely entices us and, in the same vein, the same usually goes for knowing about how new cars get painted. But in both instances, however, quality - or a lack thereof - is instantly obvious. In terms of the latter, Ford is showing off its new paint quality process with 3D Dirt Detection Technology to find imperfections in vehicle paint more easily and more quickly.
This process - being performed on the F-150 SVT Raptor above - uses 16 computer-controlled cameras to create a three-dimensional model (inset) of the vehicle to detect flaws in the paint including dirt particles, which can then be buffed out manually. Ford says this new technology cuts down on time spent looking for paint flaws and gives workers more time to correct those that are discovered.
Currently, Ford only uses its 3D Dirt Detection Technology system at three factories (the Dearborn, MI facility, along with those in Louisville, Kentucky and Valencia, Spain), but it will soon spread to five more plants in North America. Ford has released a video and press release for this innovative and unexpectedly interesting process, both of which are posted below.

Ford open to diesel, hybrid or electric Mustang? [w/poll]

Sun, 08 Dec 2013

The Ford Mustang may not be the first vehicle that comes to mind when you think of environmentally-friendly forms of transportation. The arrival of the turbocharged four-cylinder engine in the new Mustang could do a lot to combat that perception, but the EcoBoost engine may just be the tip of the iceberg in that regard.
Speaking with Ford powertrain boss Bob Fascetti at the reveal of the new Mustang in Australia, GoAuto reports that the Blue Oval automaker is considering offering its latest pony car with a diesel, hybrid or even electric powertrain in the future.
"We're not looking at diesel at the moment, but given where we need to go with fuel consumption we are looking at all our options," said Fascetti. Other options could include a nine- or ten-speed automatic transmission to replace the current six-speed unit in order to help improve fuel economy and emissions for the Mustang, although figures for the current lineup have yet to be revealed.
