This is probably one of the nicer 63 Falcon's in Charlotte, NC. I've owned it for about a year and half.  Since I've had it I've installed a new rebuild Carb. Had the original radiator rebuilt. Bought an original air cleaner and had it power coated Ford blue the air cleaner shown is not the new air cleaner. I can send you a picture of it if you want. And taken it to a few shows. It has won a trophy several times.
Please feel free to come look at the car and we can take it for a spin if you are interested.
I'm selling this one because I have another one I'm restoring plus I'd like to get an old F-100 truck.
I have a few more pictures I can email you or I can take pics of areas you want to see.

Below is the description From when the car was listed at "Streetside classics" here in Charlotte. They did not sell me the car. I bought it from the owner at a local car show.

Inexpensive daily driver or economical way to join the greatest hobby on Earth? This 1963 Ford Falcon 2-door sedan offers a great, early-60s look and fuel economy thats still in style almost 50 years later.

For this price, its really hard to go wrong with this Falcon. Anywhere you go, you're guaranteed to cause a stir, and imagine making this your daily driver for the warm weather months each year? You'd start to look forward to your commute, you'd instantly be recognized everywhere you go, all for a price thats half that of so-called economy cars sold in the new car showrooms. The paint and bodywork are quite good, so there's no need to pick up a worn-out beater to enjoy the style and substance of the 60s. In fact, it was treated to a professional paint job a few years ago in Glacier Blue, which was on the palette in 1963. Chrome and trim were still all the rage in the early 60s, and even the affordable Falcon got a good dose, from the simple grille to the trim rings around the jet-exhaust-inspired taillights.

The interior looks great and the comfortable woven inserts will help keep your backside cool in the summer months. The floating instrument panel hails from an era when designers were free to follow their imaginations, and offers a neat row of knobs underneath for the secondary controls. This was a pretty basic Falcon, so there's not even an AM radio, but at least the heater and defroster were standard equipment by 1963. And, of course, there is that automatic transmission which makes it easy to drive in traffic again, making it the perfect daily driver.

A 200 cubic inch inline-six provides the power, and that's also the source of its economy. Smooth and reliable, its going to get you wherever you need to go and sips gas while its doing it. No, its not a tire-shredding muscle car, but this is about affordable, economical, and highly stylish transportation, right? The bright Ford Blue engine is tidy and clean, showing no evidence of leaks or damage, and starts easily with a prod of the accelerator. Parts are still readily available at your local parts store, and it takes little more than a crescent wrench and screwdriver to keep it in top form. Lots of new gear, including hoses, plugs, wires, and a recent exhaust system practically eliminate up-front costs, so all you need to do is start enjoying the ride. Even the 185/80/13 whitewall radials are shockingly affordable and fitted to simple color-matched steel wheels.

Ex-GM VP LaNeve takes over Lincoln ad agency

Wed, 10 Apr 2013

Those of you that caught yesterday's op-ed about Lincoln will have heard already, but Mark LaNeve has taken the helm at Team Detroit. Once the North American vice president of sales, service and marketing for General Motors, LaNeve will now head up the agency that handles all of Ford advertising. LaNeve will also run the account for Lincoln. While at GM from 2001 to 2009, the exec oversaw ad campaigns like Cadillac's Breakthrough and sales initiatives like "Employee Pricing for Everyone."
He left in 2009 to join Allstate as chief marketing officer, oversaw the creation of the Mayhem ad spots and was moved into the role of VP of agency operations overseeing Allstate's 10,000 agents. He resigned from the insurer in February 2012 for personal reasons and joined Team Detroit in August 2012 as chief operating officer, in charge of satellite offices in New York and internationally. He replaces ex-CEO Cameron McNaughton, and will continue to hold the title of COO.
Lincoln is trying to get its 2013 back to rights after putting big dollar commercials for the 2013 MKZ on television then having production glitches preventing cars from getting to dealerships. With rumors of a relaunch in the works, it's no surprise LaNeve has been given the reins - and from here it looks like the brand is desperate for the kind of magic he's proved he can marshal. Perhaps he can start by calling a mulligan on the renaming exercise that gave us the hoary "Lincoln Motor Company" and go back to oh, say, "Lincoln." Then he can ask the product folks to get to work on the MKC concept...

Ford defends plan to shareholders: ‘We're simply reinventing the American car’

Fri, May 11 2018

Ford's top executives took heat from shareholders over their plan to do away with sedans as we know them in Ford's North American lineup, as the company held its annual meeting Thursday. Critics said the plan to shelve the Fiesta, Focus and Taurus, reduce the Focus to one crossover model, and concentrate on high-margin trucks and SUVs was a shortsighted abandonment of entire market segments of affordable vehicles. "This doesn't mean we intend to lose those customers," Ford CEO Jim Hackett said. "We want to give them what they're telling us they really want. We're simply reinventing the American car." Ford has said SUVs/crossovers and pickups will constitute 90 percent of its North American lineup by 2020. And though only the Mustang and new Focus Active will remain, it plans to add new vehicles going forward that offer better fuel economy and utility, including EVs and hybrids. Hackett characterized the shift not as an abandonment of traditional cars but as a transformation of them. "We don't want anyone to think we're leaving anything," Hackett said. "We're just moving to a modern version. This is an exciting new generation of vehicles coming from Ford." It was Hackett's first annual meeting as CEO, and for the second year it was conducted online rather than in person. The change to Ford's lineup is part of Hackett's overall plan to cut $25.2 billion in costs by the year 2022. Executive Chairman Bill Ford Jr. blamed the negative reaction to the lineup plan on media coverage. "I wish the coverage had been a little different," he said. "If you got beyond the headline, you'll see we're adding to our product lineup and by 2020 we'll have the freshest showroom in the industry. The headlines look like Ford's retreating. In fact, nothing could be further from the truth." While Ford was clear about its plans for the Blue Oval, it has been less clear about the Lincoln brand. Hackett on Thursday said only that the Lincoln Continental, re-introduced just two years ago, would continue "through its life cycle" — but it has been such a slow seller that rumor has Ford killing the Continental again after that, and Hackett made no mention of a new generation. Presumably the MKZ sedan will go away when its twin the Ford Fusion does, but although Ford has outlined end dates for other models, the Fusion's departure is open-ended. The stock price has been a frustration for investors for years and has fallen 12 percent since the first of the year.

Saleen previews new 302 Mustang

Thu, 03 Jul 2014

The introduction of a new generation of a model like the Ford Mustang may be exciting enough in its own right for enthusiasts, but that's just the tip of the proverbial iceberg, because you know that Ford itself as well as numerous aftermarket tuners will soon follow up with even more desirable versions. And few Mustang tuners carry quite the same clout of Saleen.
Recently reunited after its previous split, Saleen is back on the map and hard at work on new aftermarket modifications for a wide array of muscle cars. We knew it would only be a matter of time before it would release a new 302 Mustang, and now it's sent out the first image to show us what to expect.
Details are scarce, but House that Steve Built says the 2015 Saleen 302 Mustang "is perfectly positioned as the next American exotic." And it should know, considering that it's the same outfit that produced the Saleen S7 that really was a true American exotic. From the teaser image above we can see that Saleen has given its Mustang a new front air dam, a very wide air scoop on the hood and of course Saleen's trademark slat grille.
