1963 ford falcon roadster rat rod project

Let me start out by saying this is not my car. I am listing it for a friend of mine that doesn’t have a computer so any and all questions should be directed to him (roger: phone #231-865-7448)

DESCRIPTION: 1963 ford falcon roadster( no top)RAT ROD PROJECT CAR with a 351w out of a 1976 cougar (mileage unknown) and it is backed by a c-4 fmx  3-speed automatic  It has a 5 lug ford 8” rear end w/3:00 open gears and a mustang II 5 lug front end with manual front disk brakes. Now this car was born a convertible back 50 years ago and the guy that Roger bought it from had used it for a parts car for the completion of his other convertible so when Roger got it most of the parts were gone but being the visionary guy that he is he built the car that you now see.

Now when Roger bought this car it was the body only. He installed a rear end out of a maverick with the 4-link and the mustang II front end so he could get it sitting on all fours again. He reinforced the original frame with 1 1/2   x 2 1/2 tubing  to take the added torque of the 351(motor runs good with no noises or smoke) and put new sheet metal on the floors to make it solid again. He then went all the way thru the brake system and replaced everything to do with the brakes so it is all new from the master cylinder and the front rotors to all the lines to the rear drums everything is new. Then he installed the rear seat out of a dodge caravan and the front buckets came from a fox body mustang. The wheels are key stone classics and the tires are fair. He put in a new front windshield, mirrors, carpet, and made the console and door panels and side panels

He also put in a plastic fuel cell and re-wired the car so all the lights are in working order (but the new gauges still need to be installed and wired)

Included in the sale but not installed is the door glass (the driver’s side is cracked), both side rear windows are in the car and work great. It also includes (if you want to put it back to a convertible) some top bows and the header panel but it needs repaired on the ends do too rust and the windshield wiper motor.  He also has 2 quarts of the white paint to go with it and some other parts (pictured but not the steering wheel pictured) that go too. Like I said this is a RAT ROD PROJECT CAR with no warranties or guaranties it has only been lot driven. But if your interested give Roger a call at 231-865-7448 and he can answer any questions about this build.

THIS CAR HAS ONLY BEEN LOT DRIVEN IT HAS NEVER BEEN ON THE ROAD SINCE COMPLETION!!!  SO USE YOUR BEST JUDGMENT AND BID ACCORDINGLY.

Radical RXC is a Mustang-hearted racecar for the road

Fri, May 30 2014

Radical has been building fantastic open-cockpit racers and roadcars for years, for the track day enthusiast who wants a vehicle that looks like it could show up for a start at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The company's latest creation is the RXC, and while this coupe looks like a prototype racer, it's road legal in the UK and in some parts of the US. When testing a car this, um, radical, the first thought is likely to get it to the track for some big slides and wide open acceleration, but XCar Films takes the opposite approach in its latest video to learn how this racer fares on public roads. The version tested here is the standard RXC with the 3.7-liter V6 out of the Ford Mustang tuned to 350 horsepower with a seven-speed sequential gearbox; but Radical also offers the same engine with 380-hp, a 454-hp Ford EcoBoost 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6, or even a 500-hp V8. Even in the most basic guise, it's a handful to control in the wet, if this video is any indication. The cliche of a road-legal racecar is bandied around a lot in the motoring world, but it truly applies to the RXC. The only problem with seeing the RXC exclusively on the road is that it can never really open up and show its full potential. This racer is indeed chomping at the bit to rocket off into the horizon, but all those pesky road safety laws hold it back. Still, the video is a chance to get a better impression about this thoroughbred sports car. Scroll down to check it out. This content is hosted by a third party.
