1962 Ford Falcon. Tube Chassis with mustang 2 front end. New Weld Pro Star wheels with Mickey Thompson tires. Skinny fronts and 29x15.5x15 rear. New front and rear disc brake setup with under dash mounted Chrysler master cylinder. New Glasstek cowl hood and front and rear bumpers. New 15 gallon cell, battery box and motor mounts. Setup for SBC and 400 turbo. This could easily be converted over to a Ford drivetrain with mounts and a crossmember Ford 9" rear that is braced with Strange 31 spline axles. Rear is a 3 link setup with coilovers. Car has a full cage with swept door bars as well as a halo bar. All work was professionally done with the receipts to show. Car is a roller with new flaming river column as well. A lot of work has been done, but there is still quite a bit to do. I have lots of used parts that go with the car as well. I also have a clear title. I have a lot more invested in the car than my asking price and I have receipts for everything. Would make a great drag or prostreet car. Ran up on a new project and would rather finish that out. As with any project in this state it would be best to come look at it yourself or have it inspected. Man turns Ford Fiesta into a one-car band
Mon, 18 Nov 2013The one-man band is a rather ridiculous idea, drawing up images of one person attempting to manipulate several instruments, at once, in a vain attempt at creating music. It's usually represented by silly scenes like this. Interestingly, the concept isn't much more successful when the "man" in "one-man band" is replaced with "car," as we see in this video.
It seems that someone rigged up and edited (699 times, we might add) a Ford Fiesta, a bucket, 12 PVC pipes and the natural sounds that a car makes to come up with a song. Now, we don't recognize the tune, so we've no idea if this is a cover or an original piece. And while it's hardly Beethoven, we have to admire the amount of effort the "conductor" went to in his attempt to turn a subcompact car into a musical instrument(s). Tue, 23 Apr 2013Just a few months ago, fan safety at racetracks was a hot topic following the last-lap NASCAR Nationwide Series crash at Daytona that sent large pieces of racecars into the grandstands injuring 33 fans. Now, a freak incident at a National Hot Rod Association event resulted in a drag racer's bodywork flying into the crowd at the NHRA Four-Wide Nationals in Charlotte over the weekend. The carbon-fiber body of Robert Hight's Ford Mustang funny car blew off toward the end of a run when his engine exploded, but fortunately, the two fans evaluated after the incident were later released without serious injury.
As you can see in the image above, the body flew high into the air before landing on a walkway in front of the grandstands, a bit of happenstance that likely gave most fans enough time and space to move out of the way. Ford 3D-printing Mustang out of chocolate and candy for Valentine's Day
Thu, 13 Feb 2014Is your beloved in love with the new 2015 Ford Mustang? Do they like chocolate (that's a trick question - everyone likes chocolate)? Are they a bit of a futurist? Then this Hallmark holiday, you need to get them this Ford Mustang, 3D-printed in sweet, delicious chocolate.
Ford is teaming with 3D Systems' Sugar Lab in LA to produce the super-accurate pony car confections in both chocolate and sugar candy varieties. The process kicked off with a CAD rendering of the 2015 Mustang, which was then programmed into the 3D printer. After a bit of work from the machine, a four-inch long, two-inch tall Mustang was the result. Why the tieup with 3D Systems, though?
"We wanted to create something fun to show that while 3D printing made these edible Mustangs, manufacturing-level 3D printing was used in the development of Ford's all-new sports car," said Paul Susalla, Ford's supervisor of 3D printing.
