THIS IS A GROUND UP, ROTISSORIE RESTORATION OF A ’61 FALCON. IT WAS COMPLETELY DISASSEMBLED, MEDIA BLASTED, AND EPOXY PRIMED THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE CAR. MODIFICATIONS WERE MADE TO THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT TO ACCEPT THE 360 H.P. (AT THE FLYWHEEL) 351W. INNER FENDER WELLS WERE MODIFIED TO ACCOMMODATE THE POWER STEERING RESERVOIR AND BATTERY. 2x1x3/16 WALL RECTANGULAR TUBE WAS USED FOR SUB FRAME CONNECTORS AND 1 5/16 O.D. x 1/8 WALL TUBING WAS WELDED TO THE ROCKER PANELS & FRAME JUST BEHIND THE FRONT WHEEL OPENING. THE MAIN FRAME WAS ALSO STIFFENED AT THIS POINT. THE REAR WHEEL WELLS WERE RADIUSED TO ACCOMMODATE LARGER TIRES. MUSTANG II FRONT SUSPENSION WITH TUBULAR A ARMS & POWER RACK. MODIFICATIONS TO THE INTERIOR INCLUDE ADDING BUCKET SEATS, CONSOLE, THREE POINT SHOULDER HARNESS BELTS, PIONEER FM/CD PLAYER, AND CLASSIC AUTO AIR HEAT AND A/C UNIT. CLASSIC INSTRUMENTS “ALL AMERICAN WINGS” SERIES GAUGES WERE INSTALLED IN THE FALCON INSTRUMENT CLUSTER. ALUMINUM DASH TRIM WAS ADDED TO GIVE THE DASH A LITTLE “CHARACTER”. EVERYTHING ON THIS CAR IS NEW OR REBUILT WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE GLASS AND GRILL. Ford bondage ads reportedly trigger firings at Indian ad agency

You will probably remember the ads for the Ford Figo hatchback in India, the ones that showcased the extra large boot of the little hatchback by joking that you can fit three of your enemies in the trunk. One of the ads had Michael Schumacher in the front seat, obviously pleased about having Sebastian Vettel, Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso tied up in the back. But the other two had Paris Hilton and ex-Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi up front and three bound and gagged women in the back - in Hilton's case (shown above), it was the Kardashians.
This did not go over well, and Reuters reports that certain employees at JWT India have been fired over the matter. It is also reported that the images weren't actual advertisements, nor were they part of an actual campaign; JWT said they "were never intended for paid publication, were never requested by our Ford client." A JWT rep said the employees who created the ads did so on their own, Ford commented to Automotive News that the ads were "part of a creative exercise intended to test concepts for an advertising competition."
The problem, if the story is to be believed, is that the employees skipped the regular review protocols and uploaded their work to an ad industry site - they were found on Ads of the World. That page, like the employees, has been removed.

Yes, the first 2015 Mustang to be sold to the public will be crossing the block at Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale, with proceeds from the auction going to JDRF, the charity formerly known as the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
"Ford Mustangs have always been among the most popular collector cars at Barrett-Jackson Collector Car events," said the president of Barrett-Jackson, Steve Davis. "While every collector wishes they had snapped up the first Mustang sold in 1964, this is an opportunity to realize that dream in a different way."

Surprise! More Ford and Lincoln cars found with marijuana

Ford is starting to have a serious problem on its hands. Today, ABC 7 in Detroit reported that another batch of Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKZ cars were found packed with 227 pounds of marijuana. This is a little over a week after Fords in Ohio were found stuffed with marijuana and only about two months after Fords in Minnesota were found full of weed. All of the cars traveled on train from Mexico to their destination. All in, several thousand pounds and several million dollars worth of marijuana has been discovered. According to the report, Immigration and Customs Enforcement found the cars at the Ford Rail Distribution Facility in Woodhaven, Michigan, just south of Ford's world headquarters in Dearborn. ICE became involved after a Ford employee reported the cars to Woodhaven police. It's unclear when and where the cars were packed with marijuana. With the cars in Minnesota, it's believed that the weed was added after leaving the factory but before being loaded on the train. Spare tires were removed and the space was used to smuggle the marijuana. Related Video:
