This 1968 Ford Ranchero has been fully customized and is ready for car shows or simply to bring back your youth. Brand new original factory green paint but with ghost flames added, power brakes, power steering, air conditioning, and the engine has been fully rebuilt, upgraded and has less than 2200 miles on the rebuild. The engine is the original 390 and bored 30 over and has 396 HP at this time. C6 Transmission with a positrac rear end added. Air shocks are fully controllable from the interior of the vehicle to suit your wants and needs. All chrome on the vehicle has been recently dipped for a bright and clean appearance. The interior has been redone in black leather and also has carpet installed in the bed of the vehicle. We are the second owners but have had the vehicle for 40+ years and this is an original West Coast vehicle and has been garaged 100% of the time short of a few drives to show it off from time to time. Barrett-Jackson 2014: First production 2015 Ford Mustang earns $300k for JDRF [w/video]

We've almost become immune to the huge dollar amounts that collectible cars earn for charity at Barrett-Jackson. To wit, $300,000 for the first production 2015 Ford Mustang initially didn't seem like very much money. In reality, though, it's probably about 10 times the actual asking price for the car, and we're pleased to report that 100 percent of the proceeds will go to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
According to Ford, the car's winning bidder will get to "choose a fastback with manual or automatic transmission, and any interior, exterior and stripe color combination offered by Ford on the all-new Mustang." Power will come from a slightly revised version of the well-known 5.0-liter V8 engine that will produce "more than 420hp and 396 pound-feet of torque."
