Lakewood, Washington, United States
Up for auction is a 1967 Ford Ranchero with Fairlane 500 package ,Car/ Truck was gone through in 2011 to be a great driver / showcar at local show and shines .The longtime owner knew he was going to put a lot more money in it than it would be worth when time to sell . About $20,000 was invested not counting the car.One of my favorite Ford colors in Lime metallic has $6500 in paint and bodywork done , The paint is smooth and glossy with no chips or dings anywhere , the bed of this Ranchero came out great , looks like a lot of time was spent making that nice, door jambs are just as nice .Rechromed bumpers $800, It has 289 C-code V8 with C-4 Automatic trans both rebuilt in 2011 and both performing great , You now can run unleaded gas .Engine purrs and trans shifts great , New tires earlier this summer . (I prefer whitewalls) All around a very nice running and driving car that shows well and get tons of compliments. You can fly in and drive home or I can help with shipping This car was in Washington State for many years the body was very straight and rust free .I am offering a Buy It Now at $12,500 which is more than a fair price on a Ranchero in this in this condition , I am always open to fair offers, also have more pictures..thanks and happy biddingJim 253 576 4419

Ford to announce Mulally retirement, Fields CEO as early as May 1
Mon, 21 Apr 2014Ford CEO Alan Mulally may be about to announce his long-rumored retirement from the Blue Oval, according to a pair of insiders who spoke to Bloomberg. An official statement on the succession could arrive as soon as May 1. Chief Operating Officer Mark Fields is rumored to step up as the new CEO. The company is said to be readying the announcement soon to ensure an orderly transition of power, according to the insiders.
Mulally's retirement from Ford has been a hot topic for a while. He was seriously rumored last year to be leaving the automaker to take over as the CEO of Microsoft. The board even said at one point that it was okay with them if he stepped down early. However, the CEO maintained he would stay with the business through at least the end of 2014. Fields has been rumored as a frontrunner to take over the top spot at the company since he was promoted to COO.
For the moment, Ford isn't officially confirming any of these plans. "We don't comment on speculation. We do have succession plans in place for our key leadership. We take succession planning very seriously," said Susan Krusel, Ford Global News Manager, to Autoblog.

2015 Ford Mustang option prices gallop onto the web
Tue, 22 Apr 2014The 2015 Ford Mustang is one of the most anticipated cars of the year, despite the fact that production hasn't yet begun. What's a pony car fan to do? It turns out that Ford already has pricing and options information about the vehicle in its dealer ordering system. A few enterprising folks have snapped some pictures from it and have posted them online. You might not be able to drive your car yet, but you can at least see what it might cost.
At the moment, Ford appears to be splitting the Mustang into five models - 3.7-liter V6, 2.3-liter EcoBoost, GT with the 5.0-liter V8, 50th Anniversary and SVT. There are 10 available paint colors, 2 of which require an extra outlay. Triple Yellow is $495, and Ruby Red Tint is $395. Regardless of model, navigation goes for $795, and reverse parking assist is $295.
For both the EcoBoost and GT, the six-speed automatic tacks an extra $1,195 to the sticker, and adaptive cruise control is the same price. The GT also has a limited-slip 3.55 rear end for $395 and a GT Performance package for $2,495. Recaro leather seats add an extra $1,595. For the EcoBoost, there's something called EcoBoost Performance package for $1,995. The system doesn't say what the packages include.
