1967 Ford Fairlane roller. This is a fully tubbed, backhalf car, perfect for a pro-street or drag race project. Freshly built with everything you need to drop in the engine or transmission of your choice.

Exterior:

  • Fiberglass hood (with a hole cut in it for a tunnel ram / blower)
  • Fiberglass bumpers (front and rear)
  • Fiberglass decklid

  • Fuel system #1: Holley Black pump, Fram filter, -10 braided lines with Aeromotive connectors and a Holley fuel pressure regulator
  • Fuel system #2: Holley Blue pump, Fram filter, -8 braided lines with Aeromotive connectors and a Holley fuel pressure regulator

  • Optima deep cycle yellow top battery mounted in an SFI approved battery box in the trunk

There is so much more, too much to list. I got divorced, remarried, and have a new baby, and can no longer afford to finish this project. It's just waiting for me to build a motor for it, but that's not going to happen now. I hate to see it go, as it's a great car and an easy project for someone to just add a drivetrain and hit the street or track.

Motorweek goes retro with '80s hot hatch shootout

Motorweek's decades of history on television make it the perfect medium to look back into the automotive past and see how things are different now. It recently added old road test videos to its YouTube channel of the Acura NSX and Toyota Supra, as well as the Ferrari F40. For one of its newest flashback clips, Motorweek has exhumed an affordable five-car challenge of 1986's premiere hot hatches.
By today's standards, this is an eclectic field that features fondly remembered classics like the Volkswagen GTI 16-valve and Acura Integra. However, it also throws in some nearly forgotten contenders like the Dodge Colt Turbo and Ford Escort GT. The angular Toyota Corolla FX16 GT-S rounds out the group.
It's fascinating to watch Motorweek run the quintet through the slalom, down the drag strip and on various roads. What's most striking in this clip is the difference in the definition of a performance car between then and now. With its 16-valve, 1.8-liter four-cylinder, the GTI is the burliest of the contenders with 123 horsepower, but it still takes 8.8 seconds to reach 60 miles per hour. By today's standards, that would make it a plain-jane economy car, and not even a particularly quick one.

Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 has a bit of a dyno issue

We're of the mind that each and every dyno should come with Murphy's Law painted in big, visible letters down the side. For every ten successful dyno runs out there, it seems there's one where events to horribly wrong. Take, for example, the video below. The clip shows what happens when a Ford Shelby GT500 and a mobile dyno have a bit of a disagreement at the Performance Expo 24 in Sherbrooke, Quebec. We won't spoil the results for you, but we will say there's some substantial carnage involved.
It's unclear just how much damage ensues from the dust up or whether anyone was harmed in the incident, but from the looks of things, everyone made it out without serious injury. If only we could say the same for the machines involved. Check out the video below.

There are hundreds of vehicles up for bidding, ranging from a brand-new Lamborghini Aventador to a spattering of Art Deco classics and a huge swath of classic muscle cars.
While it's virtually impossible to assemble an inarguable list of the best cars coming during the three-day, 700-plus vehicle auction, we've sifted through the listings for this year's show - it was a tough assignment, we promise - and assembled a list of what we think will be some of the most interesting lots. We'll admit, it's a bit heavy on American iron, but if you browse BJ's listings, you'll come to a similar conclusion.
