I have owned this car since 2007,had it delivered from midwest, just rebuilt trans. last year,most of motor is redone,runs and drives strong,nice glass packs give it a sweet rumble, the frame in front under radiator needs attention the rest of the frame is solid,the undercarriage was never touched so it could use a sandblasting, i drive this to alot of cruise nights and it turns alot of heads lotsa chrome, front bumper could use rechromeing very light pitting,rear bumper needs rechroming but straight as is all the chrome,all the doors and body line up perfect,the interior is orginal and is beautiful, needs cleaning,I just drove this the other day and was doing 65 uphill and it ran sweet. Only getting rid of this so I can get my 67 GTO,

Car companies used to cook up sales with recipe books

The evolution of automotive marketing has undergone a number of strange phases. Few, though, match the strangeness of the 1930s to 1950s, when automotive marketers turned to cookbooks as a means of promoting their vehicles. Yes, cookbooks. We can't make this stuff up, folks.
This bizarre trend led to General Motors distributing cookbooks under the guise of its then-subsidiary Frigidaire. Ford, meanwhile, offered a compilation of recipes from Ford Credit Employees (shown above). The cookbook-craze wasn't limited to domestic manufacturers, though. As The Detroit News discovered, both Rolls-Royce and Volkswagen got in on the trend, although not until the 1970s.

FL man fatally shot after urging driver not to do donuts in a Mustang

Bradley Holt (pictured), the older half-brother of University of South Florida freshman quarterback Quinton Flowers, was killed in a random act of violence last week.
The 24-year-old Holt was throwing a football around with local kids in Allapattah, a neighborhood in Miami, when a yellow Mustang showed up and started doing donuts in the street. Holt, worried about kids playing in front his apartment complex, walked over to the driver and asked him why he was "driving so crazy with so many kids out here?"
The driver left. Holt's sister said the driver came back "about 15 to 20 minutes later" and fired two shots at Holt. One of them hit Holt in the back of the head, killing him.
