Springdale, Arkansas, United States
This is a 1957 Ford Skyliner Two door , convertable hard Top. This is a project and some body work is required . The car has extremely nice floors and trunk floor. Some rust is present in the rocker panles, and someone has replaced the driver side quarter panel. The car has a some rust spotting on the driver side front fender a long the bottom. The rest of the sheet metal is perfect and straight with very little dents and rust. Surface rust is present. The hard top is very nice complete and has no rusting and no dents. the doors are also very nice solid and straight. the Trunk has a bullett hole about a nickle size. I have the tail lights and all of the head light assembly. All of the glass is perfect and some of it in place. Vent windows are nice also. No drive and passenger roll up glass. The engine is in place and will need rebuild. The hood is not the correct hood but it goes as well , its off a 1958 car.The frame has no damge and is in perfect condition. The rear back seat is present, but does not have a front bench seat. I have extra parts that go with the car, extra quarter glass, upper control arms. Both bumpers and brackets front and rear are perfect with no damage but will need rechroming. Grill and radiator support are also in good shape. I do have a brand new fornt windshield that goes as well. No title with this car. I will give you a bill of sale ! Any questions please feel free to call me or text. Thanks Robert 479-466-1924

Project Ugly Horse: Part IX

Nearly every flavor of exotic driveline has been shoved into the ubiquitous Ford at some point or another.
Chuck Schwynoch had been patiently listening to my ramblings on the other end of the phone for a solid half hour. I'm not too big of a man to know when to ask for help, and at this point, I desperately needed some assistance. The truth is, working on a machine like a Fox Body Mustang is as easy as breathing thanks to the wealth of information available on the web. Nearly every flavor of exotic driveline has been shoved into the ubiquitous Ford at some point or another, and odds are the sorry souls behind those builds shared the highs and lows of their torment with the internet community.
Did a US automaker blow the whistle on Hyundai, Kia fuel economy issue?
Mon, 17 Dec 2012In all of the most hotly contested mainstream segments of the motoring universe, the difference of one mile per gallon averaged on a widow sticker can mean the difference between a sale and a walk-off - to say nothing of two or three mpg. So, when Hyundai and Kia were forced to reveal that many of their 40-mpg ratings were actually 38s and 37s, well, it made for big news.
It also, conceivably, made for a competitive disadvantage immediately, when the Korean automakers' products were being shopped versus the guys down the block. And it's that disadvantage that makes a recent story from Automotive News so juicy.
AN is reporting that Margo Oge, former head of the Environmental Protection Agency's Office of Transportation and Air Quality, got a tip in 2010 that Hyundai/Kia were "cheating" to get its impressive fuel economy numbers. The tip, said Oge (who retired from the EPA this past September), came from a senior vice president from a domestic automaker. The source was credible enough for Oge to launch an audit of the Hyundai figures, which ultimately lead to the debacle that we reported on a few months ago, and that the Korean company has been trying to bounce back from ever since.
Fallon picks Ford F-150 King Ranch, launches dealership contest
Tue, 01 Apr 2014New truck! Jimmy Fallon of The Tonight Show has been searching for the perfect new truck for a few weeks now, soliciting help from all corners in the process. Last night, Fallon made the announcement that the Ford F-150 King Ranch - in all of its cowboy glory - had been picked as his big winner.
To add some more spice to a storyline that now dips deeply into the realm of the advertorial, Fallon also announced a contest to see which Ford dealership would get the privilege of selling him the King Ranch. Dubbed "Fingers on a 4x4" The Tonight Show has invited 10 dealer reps from around the country to keep their hands on Jimmy's F-150 for as long as possible. Last salesperson standing wins.
Watch Fallon make his pick and introduce the dealer reps below, and be sure to click on the second video for a live-streaming feed of Fingers on a 4x4 in action (the contest seems to be going strong).
