This is a 2008 Ford F-550 not a 450, ebay does not offer the 550 as an option. The truck is in great running and driving condition. The C&M Flatbed was also installed in February, the bed was bought new at that time and is still in like new condition. The CB radio will be removed before selling. The truck has a current Texas DOT inspection and passes inspection with no issues. There are two 36" tool boxes welded to the bed, one on each side. Brakes are new front and back. The DPF has been deleted on this truck, there has been a H&S XRT PRO tuner installed that will be shipped with the truck. It has new injectors, new fan and fan clutch, new high and low thermostats with the new housing. Get in this truck and drive it any where you want while pulling anything you want. The GVWR on this truck is 17,950 Truck is located in Houston, we are able to assist with shipping as well if needed. We can trailer the truck to almost any state in the US or help arrange shipping with an auto carrier. If the buyer choses they can also just come pick up the truck and drive it home with no problems. Is Tesla's next project an F-150 competitor? [w/poll]
Wed, 13 Nov 2013What's the future look like for Tesla after it launches the Model X CUV and possibly a smaller, sub-Model S sedan? Would you believe a pickup truck? Yes, Tesla could be looking to use its EV know-how to take the fight to Ford and the F-150, based on comments made by company founder Elon Musk.
"If you're trying to replace the most gasoline miles driven, you have to look at what people are buying," Musk said during an impromptu Q&A session following a speech at Business Insider's Ignition conference. "[The F-150 is] the best selling car in America. If people are voting that's their car, then that's the car we have to deliver."
And while the idea of electric pickup may sound kind of absurd to some, Musk makes a very valid point - if Tesla's goal is to replace gas miles with electrical miles, it simply can't afford to ignore pickups.
