Up for your consideration is a 2008 F450 XL regular cab 2WD with diamond plate flatbed. It's a work truck! Not a "Cowboy Cadillac"! I bought the truck with 80,000 miles on it. At 97,628 miles, the truck blew the motor! Ford put a new motor in the truck 11/07/2012. Part number for the engine assembly they installed is #8C3Z-6007-AARM. This was a complete motor turbo to oil pan to injectors. Everything else was swapped to new engine.(ie... alternator, power steering pump, egr components, exhaust manifolds,  etc...) This new motor has a unlimited mile warranty that is good till 11/07/2014! I would like to see someone get it that could put some miles on it, and use the warranty. Definitely peace of mind. I would, but medical conditions force the sale of my truck. It's not your everyday grocery getter. Not practical for running errands around town if you know what I mean. Check my feedback...1839, 100% positive. I advertise what I sell correctly, and people are happy with what they get. Rest assured you will get exactly what is advertised here.

Here we go:

2008 F450 XL

6.4 Liter Powerstroke with warranty. Dyno'd @ 360 HP from Ford.

Torqshift automatic transmission.

H&S Mini Max Power Programmer/ Race Tuner Part # 109003. (These can't be sold from within the US anymore! Have to buy from Canada. DPF Delete option not allowed anymore on tuners sold in the US. Cheapest I've seen this programmer is $1699.00. I have box, and all paperwork, etc... H&S Advertises HP increases up to 300HP! This truck has tons of power and torque at the touch of a button.

DPF delete pipe. (Have original DPF also included if needed to install for warranty work on motor.) Local guy charges $150 to put it back.

K&N Air Filter (Installed), and original air filter for warranty work.

Black Diamond Plated Flatbed With hidden Gooseneck Hitch. 7' 8 1/4" wide, 9' 3 1/2" long.

100 gallon external fuel tank with 15 gpm Heavy Duty Fill-rite pump with spin on filter, hose and nozzle. Wired into upfitter switch #1.

New EGR Valve 01/10/13 at 105473 miles

New accessory belt 01/18/2013 at 105992 miles

Oil changed every 5000 miles at Ford Service since new motor. (Ford recommends every 10,000, but I don't like that!)

Fuel filters changed every 7500 miles since new motor. (Ford says the injectors are very, very sensitive. Suggest every 20,000 miles. I'm not taking a chance.)

Cruise control controls on steering wheel

AM/FM radio with CD and 3.5 mm aux plug to listen to your own music.

Accuride 19.5" Aluminum Wheels on front

Blacked out steel 19.5" rims on back

Michelin's all the way around.

Dana/Spicer s110 rear end.

Truck is a good running truck, and ready to work right now. There are a few cosmetic things with the truck. Pictures will show them. There are no known mechanical problems with the truck. Everything works. Hate to see it go, but would rather see someone who can use it get it. I live in Florida, but would be willing to work a deal to get it to you. But ultimately it would be your responsibility to have the truck moved. I might be able to bring it to you for fuel, and a way home! Figure that out later. (Cheapest way.) I know I have forgotten some stuff. If I remember something, I will add it later. If you have questions, feel free to ask. I will respond quickly. Direct #8133952382. Trailer in some pictures Not included.

Wards names its 2015 10 Best Interiors list

Fri, Apr 17 2015

Wards Automotive has named the winners of its 10 Best Interior awards, covering a wide but affordable array of vehicles. Where last year's list contained two six-figure vehicles, including the $372,800 Rolls-Royce Wraith, this year's is, well, a whole lot more reasonable. The publication lists the Mercedes-Benz C400 at $65,000 (which seems off), making it the most expensive vehicle here. That said, we'd argue that the entire C-Class line deserves to make this year's list, owing to its varied and high-quality selection of materials. The other vehicle to break the $60,000 mark, meanwhile, is the $60,675 Ford F-150 King Ranch, which has 327,000 pounds of leather lining its interior. Only one other German car, the BMW i3, and one other pickup truck, the GMC Canyon, managed to make this year's list. Here's the full list of this year's winners: 2014 BMW i3 ($52,550) 2015 Chrysler 300C Platinum ($51,175) 2015 Ford F-150 King Ranch ($60,675) 2015 GMC Canyon SLT ($40,465) 2015 Honda Fit EX-L ($21,590) 2015 Jeep Renegade Limited ($33,205) 2015 Kia Sedona SXL ($43,295) 2016 Mazda6 Grand Touring ($33,395) 2015 Mercedes C400 ($65,000) 2015 Nissan Murano SL ($41,905) See what we mean about the mainstream vehicles? Not only is there a distinct lack of luxury brands, it's the price of some of the vehicles that surprise. The Honda Fit, Jeep Renegade and Mazda6 are very reasonably priced, especially when you compare Wards price with the starting price. The Renegade Limited starts at less than $25,000, the Mazda at less than $22K and the Fit at under $16,000. Head over to Wards for a more detailed explanation of why each vehicle won. Ford Escort is ready to focus on the Chinese market

Mon, 21 Apr 2014

Ford officially revived the Escort name in China, showing of the new, four-door compact at the Beijing Motor Show. Painted in a stylish brown-bronze, the new sedan wears a number of global Ford styling cues while sharing its platform with the Ford Focus.
Power for the new model comes from a 1.5-liter four-cylinder, although Ford doesn't specify just how much power is on offer, simply saying that the fuel economy of the new mill will be "outstanding." It's unclear what transmission will be distributing the engine's power, although based on the images we've seen, the Escort will definitely offer a two-pedal setup.
The layout of the cabin is fairly clean, although as we mentioned in our initial post on the new Escort, it's a decidedly sparser environment than we've grown use to in US-spec Fords of late. If anything, it's like a weird blend of current Ford switchgear with an overall look that reminds us of older Ford layouts. Still, it looks like a comfortable way of moving five people about without too much fuss. There's ample space both front and rear, and a rather spacious trunk.

Ford CEO told Trump 1 million jobs at stake because of fuel economy regs

Sat, Jan 28 2017

Bloomberg is reporting that Mark Fields, Ford's CEO, pushed President Donald Trump for market-driven national fuel economy standards, and that up to a million jobs could be at stake if those national regulations didn't take consumer expectations into account. Fields was reporting on his conversation with Trump in remarks made at the National Automobile Dealers Association in New Orleans, Bloomberg reports. The report also states that he and fellow CEOs Mary Barra of GM and Sergio Marchionne of FCA aren't seeking to eliminate fuel economy standards altogether, but rather to make them more flexible. Bloomberg reports that Fields didn't cite the studies he was referring to in support of his job loss figures, so we can't independently verify Fields' math at this time. But his push to stop selling cars consumers don't want – that is to say, more hybrids and EVs than consumer demand supports right now – is clear. We've already reported on that. To level an educated guess at what will happen next, Trump seems likely to reduce the stringent 2025 fuel economy targets, perhaps freezing them at current levels. The automakers are already invested in producing vehicles that meet current standards, and they also have to think about foreign markets like Europe that aren't likely to relax standards below current levels. If you consider economies of scale, automakers are likely to ask for federal standards that match global standards for their largest markets as closely as possible. We'll see if Trump buys Fields' math, but Ford isn't hedging its bets. Backing out of the Mexican assembly plant cost the company $200 million – not a huge sum compared to the total value of Ford, a massive company which had its second best year ever, but still an important gesture to Trump about Ford's priorities.
