This is a 2008 Ford King Ranch Super Duty. This is the top of the line F450. This truck is almost perfect, it has a little scratch on front bumper, it does need rear tires not from being worn, because they have a little dry rot in the thread and I would put new tires on it before you go to haul a heavy load. The front tires are almost new..42,000 miles and it has always been dealer maintained..oil changed on regular basis. I used this truck to pull my mobile suite camper and a 36' enclosed trailer.  Use the "buy it now" and I will have new tires put on rear...Has sunroof..a $500 roll up rear bed cover..B&W flipover ball in bed (gooseneck)..window vent guards..no dents. King ranch has almost everything ( no navigation ) has 4:88 ( 8L axle)limited slip..

***I would like to note that this truck is coming up with a major title issue for the reason of it being a "lemon law truck" This truck was purchased from the local Lincoln dealership. This truck was found by the dealership and bought for me and I went and picked it up when it came in. The truck had barely 5000 miles on it when it was purchased by me. The first owner ordered this truck in after having numerous issues with the previous generation of ford diesels, the infamous 6.0. When the truck had 1600 miles on it, something was run over and a hole was punched in the oil pan and the motor was subsequently ruined. The first owner pitched a fit and made ford take the truck back under the "lemon law" because of their previous experiences with the ford motor. Ford repaired the truck with a brand new motor, sold it to the Lincoln dealership that I bought it from. There have been no further issues.***

***second issue, while parked at the DMV in 2010....a 16 year old with a fresh drivers license backed into this truck and cracked the taillight...that was the only damage this truck sustained, a brand new ford taillight was replaced and that was the end of the issue but since we were at the DMV, the state troopers wrote it up as an "accident" ***

I would like to note that this truck is being sold as-is where is with no warranty. This truck is very well maintained and it shows it. If you have any questions or would like to arrange to see it in person, call me at 615-364-4890 Matt

Cadillac ELR, Nissan Resonance and Ford Atlas win Eyes on Design awards

Fri, 18 Jan 2013

This year's annual Eyes on Design awards were presented at the end of press days for the Detroit Auto Show on Tuesday. Given out for the best production and concept car designs that debuted at the show, and voted on by an esteemed panel of actual car designers, this year's award for best production vehicle design went to the 2014 Cadillac ELR. The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette, which was the show favorite among Autoblog editors, apparently did not impress the Eyes on Design judges enough with its all-new vent-festooned design.
The award for best concept design was actually split as a tie among the Nissan Resonance and Ford Atlas concepts. Last year's winners were the 2013 Ford Fusion and the Lexus LF-LC concept.
The Eyes on Design organization also presented a new honor this year called the Catalyst Award to Bob Lutz, former Vice Chairman of General Motors. Lutz is reported to have given a defense of design in his acceptance speech, arguing that advancements in quality across the industry as a whole have made good design a key differentiator for buyers.

Pickup prices rising at 2x industry average

Tue, 11 Jun 2013

We've said it before, but bears repeating: Pickup trucks are the financial engines of America's automakers. Good thing, then, that the segment is in rude health - in fact, Automotive News is suggesting that pickup truck sales are arguably healthier than they were pre-recession, even though the segment's volume is still significantly down from where it was before the bottom fell out of the US economy. That's because per-unit profits on full-size trucks are skyrocketing, outpacing the industry's average price increases by more than double since 2005. According to data from Edmunds, the average transaction price of a full-size pickup is now $39,915 - a heady increase over the $31,059 average price in 2005 - a gain of over 8 percent after inflation is factored in.
Just how important are trucks to automakers' bottom lines? Automotive News quotes a Morgan Stanley analyst as saying the Ford F-Series is responsible for 90 percent of the company's 2012 profits, and General Motors isn't far behind, with the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra twins chipping in about two-thirds of the automaker's earnings.
Automotive News points out that Detroit's automakers now have the money to invest in modernizing their full-size truck offerings, in part because they don't have the same overhead and legacy costs that pushed General Motors and Chrysler into bankruptcy. Certainly, the pickup segment has seen a lot of innovations as of late, including turbocharged V6s, coil-spring rear suspensions and active aero. Those improvements in important areas like fuel economy and ride comfort have given existing pickup buyers new reasons to upgrade. In addition, automakers are piling on the tech and luxury goodies, creating more and more high-content, high-profit models like the Ford F-150 King Ranch, Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn and Chevrolet Silverado High Country (shown).

Lincoln Aviator could make a comeback

Tue, Jun 9 2015

The idea of Lincoln dropping its alphanumeric scheme in favor of real names was welcomed by fans of the marque and even appeared possible after the rousing reception to the Continental concept. Now, rumors suggest that the next of the luxury brand's nameplates to see a possible revival just might be the Aviator. Don't get your hopes up quite yet, though. The Truth About Cars admits that this tip comes from a second-hand source, but the person reports that Lincoln has a project codenamed Aviator as a model based on the Explorer. There's evidence to give the rumor some shaky support, though. Ford already has the trademarks for the name and AV8R. Also, an Explorer-based vehicle in 2019 is included for the brand's predictions in the recent Car Wars forecast. Autoblog reached out to company spokesperson Sam Locricchio, but he would not speculate about future products. The same source claims to The Truth About Cars that the Blue Oval might not replace the Ford Flex or Lincoln MKT when the current generations come to an end. Also, the next-gen Expedition and Navigator could use 10-speed automatics and follow the F-150 to get aluminum bodies, which is also already rumored. Although, all of this should be taken with a big grain of salt until anything more official has arrived. Lincoln spokesperson Stephane Cesareo gave The Truth About Cars no comment on the rumor, but said, "By 2020, we expect to expand the segments that we participate in by adding two new nameplates to the Lincoln brand. We have not provided any indications about the products or their names." Related Video:
