Hi and thank you for looking at my listing.  We are selling our 2000 Ford F-450 4 wheel drive tow truck wrecker.  It has a Vulcan wheel lift with a winch.  The 7.3 power stroke diesel is fully serviced by us...Mobil one delvac full synthetic oil used exclusively and changed every 4000 miles.  The oil pan was replaced about a year ago ( a common problem..required removal of the engine..)...the truck is completely stock...unmodified...unmolested...not a truck for resale but used by us for our police towing contract.  We are required to have a 4 wheel drive truck...we also maintain 3 other flatbeds...and we recently just obtained another truck...so we need to thin our fleet. PA inspected.  The stripes are painted on but the letters are all removable.  The truck originally had a different light bar on the roof and their are small holes left behind which we patched.  The truck was originally green and was a truck used and maintained by a franchised Ford dealer when we purchased it.  Front tires are about 50% tread...rears are about 85 %.  The truck is ready to work right now.  Does not come with chains...your responsibility. This truck runs great...looks great...has the right engine....pre emission unit....and 4 wheel drive...but most importantly.....ONLY 68000 miles!!!!....factory A/C.....auto transmission....you are welcome to come down and look at it...drive it...check it out...drive it home anywhere.  Please call me with any questions since we try to describe our vehicles for sale to the best of our abilities. Please check our feedback...earned one happy customer at a time....the truck does have some imperfections...but the replacement cost is in excess of $85000.00...and would come with the emissions headaches that no one wants....buy this ready to work for a fraction of the price.....Bobby 610 804-2836 .....9 am till 8 pm eastern time only please....Thanks

Mark LaNeve named head of Ford US sales and marketing

Ford continues to rework the positions of its top marketing executives as Jim Farley moves to take over the Blue Oval in Europe and Stephen Odell becomes head of global sales. The latest shift brings Mark LaNeve in as the new vice president of US marketing, sales, service and dealer relations, effective February 1. LaNeve replaces John Felice, who is retiring. Felice was with the automaker for the last 30 years and held his most recent job since November of 2013. In addition to coordinating marketing and sales, LaNeve's other duty is to build "innovative new digital communications and transforming the retail experience for customers," according to the automaker's press release announcing the change. He reports to both Odell and Joe Hinrichs, Ford's boss of the Americas. LaNeve has a long history in the auto industry. He spent a portion of his early career with Cadillac but eventually was hired as the CEO of Volvo Cars North America. He also headed up US marketing at General Motors for several years in the 2000s. Since 2012, LaNeve has been the chief operating officer at Global Ford Team, which is responsible for the company's worldwide advertising. There's an interesting challenge ahead of LaNeve in leading the Blue Oval's US marketing and sales in 2015. Ford was the bestselling auto brand here in 2014 but overall sales fell about 1.1 percent. According to Automotive News, the company's market share dropped to 14.9 percent, a one-percent reduction and the lowest level since 2008. Ford F-150 bumps Camry from top of Cars.com American Made Index

With July 4th just around the corner, what better time could there be for Cars.com to announce that the Ford F-150 is the Most American car of 2013? This may be especially true since it was the Toyota Camry, a car produced by a company based in Japan, that had held the top spot from 2009 to 2012.
Cars.com compiles its Most American list by considering the amount of parts each vehicle uses that come from America, where it's final assembly takes place and how many units per year are sold. "While the assembly point and domestic parts content of the F-150 didn't change from 2012-2013, vehicle sales are responsible for bumping the F-150 to the top spot," according to Patrick Olsen, Editor-in-Chief of Cars.com.
As far as automakers go (as opposed to individual models), Toyota retains the top spot it held in 2012, with General Motors, Chrysler, Ford and Honda (in that order) rounding out the list. The motivation behind this list each year, according to Olsen, is "to help car shoppers understand that 'American-Made' extends beyond just the Detroit three" and because "a study we conducted in 2012 indicated that 25 percent of shoppers surveyed preferred to buy American."

Hot sales have Detroit automakers shortening summer shutdowns

Back in May, there was speculation that the Detroit Three automakers would maintain or perhaps even extend their traditional summer shutdowns, mostly due to a bitingly cold winter that saw below-freezing temperatures infiltrate the southernmost reaches of the US, putting a chill on auto sales. Now, though, the numbers are in, and thanks to some promising sales figures, it looks like some domestic line workers are going to be working clear through July, in some cases.
According to Automotive News, Ford has slashed its traditional two-week hiatus for factory workers in half at four of its plants, while both Chrysler and General Motors will keep factories running nonstop (two plants in Chrysler's case and a third of GM's factories).
This is, as we said, thanks to some positive numbers. Chief among those is the Seasonal Adjusted Annual Rate, which was at an eight-year high of 17 million units. Individual figures were less promising. GM, embroiled in its recall scandal, still saw a one-percent increase while Ford dropped six percent in year-over-year sales. Chrysler was the big winner, though, with a nine-percent jump in June.
