1997 Ford F-350 Dump truck, 4X4, Diesel 7.3, automatic transmission, 215,000 miles. This vehicle has central hydraulics for the snow plow and dump. It is plumbed for a rear tailgate salt spreader. The transmission was replaced with a Jasper Rebuild 2 years ago at 173,000 miles. Mechanically this truck runs strong. 4X4 all works, new hubs were installed 3 years ago. The truck has rusted front fenders as shown in pictures. Dump body works great, but does have rust holes. (Still usable) . The truck does have some oil leaks, so I would not recommend parking in a nice driveway. The truck also will need a heater core. It is bypassed right now. Ford EcoBoost V6 hits the dyno before hitting the track
Wed, 02 Oct 2013Ford Racing just unveiled the Riley Daytona Prototype that will make its racing in the United SportsCar Racing Championship Rolex 24 at Daytona in January, and now it has released a video showing development of twin-turbo 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 that powers the car. Using the same block and heads that can be found on a production Ford Taurus SHO, this new racecar benefits from the collaboration between Ford Racing and Ford powertrain engineers.
While we still don't know what kind of power this engine is putting out, it has definitely gotten a workout at Ford's 17G dyno. This area deep within Ford allows the automaker's racing program to work hand-in-hand with production engine programs, which can be a benefit to racing operations and production cars alike. BMW V8-powered Ford Model A is the definition of Hot Rod

Take one classic American car, add one classic American V8, sprinkle with tire smoke and you pretty much have every hot rod to roll out of a shop in the last 40 years. Mike Borroughs knows it wasn't always this way. Once upon a time, getting your bucket to go faster meant grabbing whatever parts were lazing about the yard, bolting them together with a bit of ingenuity and laughing your way down the quarter mile. It's in that spirit that Burroughs built his 1928 Ford Model A.
Rather than turn to the tired flathead or the common Chevrolet small block, Burroughs plucked a 4.0-liter V8 from a 1995 BMW 7 Series. With 300 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque, the engine has no trouble shuffling the old A around town. He had to build a custom chassis to get everything to cooperate, but the result is a 1,500-pound heathen that looks built to harass dry lake beds. You can check it out in the video below.
