Up for sale is a 2004 Ford F-350 4x4 Dually with a Cummins 24 valve Turbo Diesel.  The transmission is the factory Ford 6 speed manual transmission and drivetrain.  We did not perform the engine swap, so I can't give very many specifics, but I have personally built 3 other Cummins swaps (2 of them I sold on Ebay.  Check my feedback).  It appears to be professionally installed and looks and operates good.  The engine fires right up and all the gauges and electronics work as if it came from the factory.  The transmission shifts smoothly through all the gears.  4x4 and A/C operate like they're supposed to, along with power windows, locks, mirrors, etc....    The interior is in nice condition with the only real flaw being the driver's seat tear, which has been sewed back already.  The exterior is also in nice shape with just the usual small chips and scratches that you can expect from this age truck.  The tires still have over half the tread left (see pics).  The ford truck has 252K miles on it, and the previous owner said the engine has about 140K miles on it.  It already has a gooseneck ball in the bed and aftermarket steel bumpers front and back.  This is a Texas Truck, so there is no rust.

THIS IS A "NO RESERVE" AUCTION, WHICH MEANS IT WILL BE SOLD TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER NO MATTER WHAT. I have sold many vehicles on Ebay and I have had nothing but satisfied customers, so bid with confidence.  Like all of my vehicles, this one is sold as-is, with no warranty.  We do our best to describe our vehicles, so if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

We are a licensed and bonded Texas Auto Dealer so we have to collect tax, title, and license fees if you live in Texas.  WHAT THIS MEANS: If you are the high bidder and you live in Texas, then you have to pay the following fees.     BID AMOUNT X 1.0625  +   $202.25  =  GRAND TOTAL

EXAMPLE:  If the winning bid is $15000 then multiply that by 1.0625 (sales tax)  + $202.25 (registration and title fees)  =   $16,139.75

This will get you new license plates, stickers, and the title transferred into your name.

If you live anywhere else other than Texas:  You pay only your bid amount, and we will hand you the title and you will have to pay the transfer fees of your own state.  Contact your local tax office to figure out how much it will be.

Buyer is responsible for transportation.  If you would like to fly in to the San Antonio, TX airport, we will be happy to pick you up free of charge.  Or if there is a nearby shipping facility (San Antonio, TX) then we will deliver it free of charge.

A $500 deposit is required within 24 hrs via Paypal and full payment is required within 7 days of auction end.  We can hold the vehicle for a couple weeks so you can arrange shipping if needed (no charge).

Once again, this is a great truck and fun to drive, so bid with confidence.  People usually ask me if I think this truck is road worthy enough to drive across the country, and my answer is YES.  I also get the question of "how much will it cost to take the truck off Ebay bidding so I can buy it now?"  My answer- If you really like the truck and want to buy it before the bidding ends, then it is $15,995.  However,  I will not take the vehicle off Ebay if it is in the last 24 hrs of bidding.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask  830-643-1900  ask for BOB.  mon-fri 9-6  sat 10-5  sunday closed.

Hyundai, BMW and Ford win Concept Vehicle of the Year awards

Sat, 06 Jul 2013

More than two dozen jurors started with a pool of 23 concept cars introduced at the most recent Los Angeles, Detroit, Chicago, Toronto and New York auto shows, then pared it down to three winners in three categories for the twelfth annual North American Concept Vehicle of the Year Awards. The trophy-bearers are said to be those "vehicles most likely to shape the future of the automobile industry," and lead their classes in the Concept Car, Concept Truck and Production Preview divisions.
Hyundai had two cars as finalists for the Concept Car category, the competition boiled down to the Hyundai HCD-14 Genesis concept, Veloster C3 Roll Top, Honda EV-STER and the Toyota Corolla Furia. It won with the HCD-14 Genesis that was introduced at the Detroit Auto Show, a sharp sedan that sharply divided opinion between those who thought it was too much, those who thought it was too much Audi A7, and those who thought it was perfect. The award panel's judges, however, thought so much of it that it's got two awards in one sitting, not only taking concept car honors, but because it earned the highest overall score in the competition it also takes the crown for Most Significant Concept Vehicle of 2013.
The final selection in the Concept Truck category was down to the Ford Atlas, Kia Cross GT, Nissan Resonance and Volkswagen Cross Blue. The Ford Atlas took the silverware, after also winning the Eyes on Design award - shared with the Nissan Resonance - at the Detroit Auto Show where it was introduced.

Has the 2015 Ford Mustang gained hundreds of pounds?

Sun, 01 Jun 2014

Automakers face competing interests when it comes to developing a new generation of vehicle. On the one hand, companies want to build their cars to be safer and better handling, with more equipment and maybe even larger dimensions over the model it's replacing. On the other hand, they strive to keep weight down to the benefit of both performance and fuel consumption. Usually something has to give, and in the case of the new 2015 Ford Mustang, those efforts may have resulted in a weight penalty of two or three hundred pounds.
This according to Blue Oval modifier Steeda Autosports, which states that "the 2015 Mustang ended up gaining 200-300 pounds in this remake". Despite the Mustang not being on the market yet, it would appear the leading Ford aftermarketer has been given early access to the 2015 model to help jumpstart its tuning efforts (a rather common development among trusted tuners). If Steeda's assertion is accurate, that would make the challenge of getting the new pony car up to speed for both Ford and aftermarket customizers like Steeda that much greater.
We're waiting for official word from Ford on the veracity of Steeda's claim, but if true, it's bound to be a bit of disappointing news for legions of Blue Oval performance enthusiasts. Watch this space for more.

Ford Escort testing, may be bound for Europe

Tue, 01 Apr 2014

There has been little news about Ford's China-focused Escort concept since debuting at last year's Shanghai Motor Show, but the no-frills sedan has shown its camouflaged face again during cold weather testing in Northern Sweden. While far from a guarantee, the test location might hint that the Blue Oval plans to market the car outside of Asia.
The Escort's black robe and zebra paint make it hard to tell if anything specific has changed about the design, but the shape of the sedan looks close to what was shown in Shanghai. Under the disguise, you can still make out the hexagonal front grille from the concept. When Ford announced the model, the company said that the design wasn't supposed to be "arrogant or pretentious," and it certainly achieved that. The engine range is still a mystery, but it seems safe to expect small, economy-focused powertrains.
A report from last year indicated that Ford may be considering broadening the new Escort beyond Asia and possibly even selling it in Europe. The fact that the company brought it to Sweden for testing could bolster that argument. A release date hasn't been set yet, but the automaker has promised 15 new products for China by 2015. The basic sedan could be on the road soon.
