2004 Ford F350 4x4 6.0 Powerstroke Turbo Diesel Ranch Truck Boss Vplow Setup on 2040-cars
Custer, South Dakota, United States
For Sale- 2004 Ford F350 4x4 with a 6.0l Powerstroke turbo diesel. Truck is in good condition and runs and drives very well. There are no known mechanical issues. This is one of the RARE ones that hasn't been in and out of the shop it's entire life. We have meticulously maintained the truck. Truck has extended cab short bed with a bedliner. Truck pulls great, I pull a 5000lb job trailer about every other week to work and you can hardly tell it's back there. Transmission shifts smoothly. Tires are about 40-50% and are BF Goodrich Allterrains which are exceptional tires. Interior is in great condition with no tears or rips in the upholstery. All power options work as they should. The front windows do have 20% privacy tint on them. Only reason we are selling is that we need bigger cab and longer bed. Truck is also wired and mounted for a Boss Vplow which is worth $1200. All you need to buy is just the plow. NOTE this truck does NOT come with a plow. We just priced an 8' 2" Vplow for $4200 brand new in Rapid City. Truck is being sold as is.

Oprah at it again, gives car away on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
Sat, 17 Aug 2013Oprah Winfrey loves giving away cars. Not only has she given Pontiac G6 sedans and Volkswagen Beetle retro-mobiles to everyone in the audience of her past show, but the other night on Jimmy Kimmel Live! she gave another car away to one lucky audience member, while yelling her now-famous line: "You get a car!"
Although the acting of Oprah and Jimmy Kimmel was obviously staged for this giveaway, the reaction from the woman in the audience was genuine shock as she found out that she had just won a new Ford Fusion Energi. Congrats!
Not to take away from what Oprah and Jimmy pulled off, but our cynical sides have to wonder if there isn't more than just a little coincidence that this giveaway took place on the same day that Ford announced a fuel economy reduction for the C-Max hybrid. You be the judge... Scroll down to watch the short clip from the episode.
Preserving automotive history costs big bucks
Wed, 29 Jan 2014
$1.8 million is spent each year to maintain GM's fleet of 600 production and concept cars.
When at least two of the Detroit Three were on the verge of death a few years back, one of the tough questions that was asked of Ford, General Motors and Chrysler execs - outside of why execs were still taking private planes to meetings - was why each company maintained huge archives of old production and concept vehicles. GM, for example, had an 1,100-vehicle collection when talk of a federal bailout began.
STUDY: Ford owns brand loyalty in 2009; Scorned Saturn, Pontiac buyers will look outside of GM
Fri, 16 Oct 2009Ford buyers appear to love their cars more than customers of any other automotive brand, returning back to the American automaker when it comes time to purchase their next vehicle. According to a study by Experian Automotive, six of the top 10 vehicles for customer brand loyalty wear badges from the Blue Oval. That includes the Ford Fusion (62.4 percent), Ford Edge (57.9 percent), Ford Five Hundred/Taurus (56 percent), Ford Freestyle (51.9 percent), Ford Escape (49.4 percent) and the Ford Focus (47.57 percent).
Other vehicles making up the top 10 include the Toyota Prius (52 percent), Chevy Impala (51.7 percent), Toyota Camry (47.8 percent) and Toyota Corolla (47.56 percent). This brings up an interesting question: With the closing of automotive brands like Saturn and Pontiac, where are those buyers to turn for their next automotive purchase?
Apparently, not back to General Motors. According to Experian, Pontiac owners are most likely to look to the Ford lineup for their next car or truck and Saturn shoppers will switch to Toyota or Honda - not particularly surprising given that Saturn was meant to compete with import brands. Experian predicts that GM's overall market share will fall from 20 percent to about 17.5 percent, with most of the slack being picked up by Ford, Honda and Toyota.
