Banks’s SIX-GUN® DIESEL TUNER & SWITCH & Chipset
Calibrated for racing and sport, Six-Gun is a fully engineered diesel tuner with an unmatched combination of power,
safety and versatility. It delivers pavement-shredding best gains of +115 hp and+206 lb-ft at the rear wheels; has
six change-on-the-fly power levels; is Stacked for Power® to tune pulse width, timing and fuel pressure; and has
exclusive AutoRate® and ActiveSafety® engine and transmission safeguards.
Bank’s MONSTER® EXHAUST
Monster exhaust system flows up to 91.5% better than stock and virtually eliminates back pressure. The streamlined
4" intermediate pipe(s) and tailpipe are formed of stainless, heavy-wall tubing with constant-diameter bends to
maximize flow and lower exhaust gas temps. Banks replaces the factory's restrictive muffler with a
polished-stainless steel Monster muffler, featuring a straight-through 4"-diameter flow-path with a Banks-designed
expansion chamber, which dissipates the annoying mid-range exhaust drone that is so prominent in competitors'
straight-through mufflers. The muffler utilizes spun ceramic, very-high-temperature packing, more than doubles the
stock flow and delivers an authoritative—but never intrusive—exhaust sound.

XD400/4: 4 Ch. Class D Full-Range Amplifier, 400 W
4-Channel Class D Full-Range Amplifier, 100 W x 4 @ 2 Ω / 75 W x 4 @ 4 Ω - 14.4V
This tiny amplifier packs a serious full-range punch, delivering a staggering 100 watts to each of its four
channels into 2 ohms (14.4V, 1% THD). The breakthrough that makes this much power possible in such a small chassis
is our NexD™ ultra-high-speed switching design, which allows for full bandwidth Class D operation with extremely
low distortion and outstanding efficiency.
Use the XD400/4 in combination with our XD600/1 monoblock to build a 1000 W amplification system to power four
satellites and a subwoofer... and fit the whole thing under a seat. Or, use the XD400/4 by itself to power two
satellites, plus a subwoofer. With XD's, the possibilities are endless.
The XD400/4 includes a 12 dB / octave filter for each channel bank, which can be configured as a low-pass or
high-pass filter and offers continuously variable cutoff frequency selection from 50-500 Hz. With the addition of
an HD-RLC remote level control (sold separately), the amplifier's Ch. 1 & 2 level or overall level can be directly
controlled from the driver's seat.
This amplifier features a black powder-coat finish and a gasketed, brushed aluminum cover for the controls.

2015 Ford Mustang 50th Anniversary Edition says 'happy birthday' in New York
Wed, 16 Apr 2014Fifty years ago this week, Ford debuted the first-ever Mustang at the New York World's Fair. And to celebrate, the Blue Oval is offering up this special, 50th Anniversary Edition 2015 Mustang, which makes its debut at the New York Auto Show. It'll be a seriously limited affair, with only 1,964 examples of the special edition Mustang slated to be produced (the number chosen to coincide with the 'Stang's first year in production). But for those who raise their hands for the 50th Anniversary package, there's a pretty sweet package in store.
The 50th Anniversary Edition is based on the 2015 Mustang GT with the Performance Pack, and is only available in two colors: Kona Blue, or Wimbledon White (pictured). The car also comes fully loaded - the only option for buyers to choose is the transmission. Should you opt for the six-speed automatic, you'll get a limited-slip rear differential with a 3.55:1 final-drive ratio (the 50th Anniversary car is also the only way to get a slushbox-equipped 'Stang with the Performance Pack). Selecting the six-speed manual 'box will net you a Torsen differential with a 3.73:1 ratio. All 50th Anniversary cars will be powered by Ford's 5.0-liter, naturally aspirated V8, estimated to produce more than 420 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque in the 2015 Mustang.
Inside, there's a cashmere-stitched, leather-wrapped steering wheel, with a similar detail found on the instrument panel, shift boot, door inserts, seats, and center armrest. Two-tone leather/black upholstery is also part of the 50th Anniversary package, and of course, there's a special logo on the seats.
2015 Ford C-Max gets a corporate nose job [w/video]
Thu, 02 Oct 2014Ford might not have the splashiest booth here at the 2014 Paris Motor Show, but the automaker is showing off quite a bit of hardware that will actually end up on roads across Europe. Parisians are no doubt tickled at getting to see the specifications of the Mustang tuned for The Continent (which has a revised suspension for European roads, and a few visual nips and tucks), in addition to the revised face of the family-friendly C-Max.
As you can see, C-Max styling has been revisited with a deft touch, grafting Ford's six-sided corporate grille on the nose, in place of the outgoing car's two-part affair. New headlights can also be found on the car's revised front fascia, though the rear end of the C-Max looks only slightly different than the current version.
Inside the cabin, Ford has consolidated controls and upped the ante in terms of material quality, with "black satin" and chrome details and more storage capacity, overall. Grocery-lugging moms and dads everywhere should appreciate the hands-free liftgate feature, as well.
Automotive Grade Linux will be the backbone of your connected car
Fri, Jan 6 2017Creating a backend for a secure, reliable, and expandable infotainment system is costly and time consuming. The Linux Foundation, a non-profit organization, has set out to promote and advance the Linux operating system in commercial products. Automotive Grade Linux, or AGL, is a group within the Foundation that seeks to apply a Linux backend to a number of automotive applications in a variety of vehicles from various suppliers and manufacturers. AGL's goal is to create a common, unifying framework that allows developers and manufacturers to easily implement applications across platforms. Currently, the focus is on infotainment systems, but AGL has plans for instrument clusters, heads-up displays, and eventually active safety software. At CES, a display from Panasonic showed a completely digital and customizable dashboard that allows information and apps to be moved from the gauge cluster to the infotainment screen and back, all through the use of gesture and touch controls. Although the organization has been around for five years, it's really only been in the past three that the group has been working hand in hand with automakers and suppliers. The first two OEMs to participate, Toyota and Jaguar Land Rover, have since been joined by Mazda, Suzuki, Ford, and, as of this week, Daimler. The latter is important as until now most of AGL's partner's have been based in Japan or the US. Other partners include suppliers Denso, Renesas, Continental, Qualcomm, and Intel. AGL want's to supply roughly 80 percent of the backend, allowing partners to then finish and refine the Linux system for each individual application. Think of how the Android operating system is refined and customized for individual smartphones from Samsung, LG, and Motorola. While the final product looks different, developers can have an application that will work across all AGL systems. Because it is open source, anyone can use and develop for AGL. You can even go onto the group's website and download a copy right now. There is also a software development kit available that helps facilitate app creation on the platform. Vehicle development cycles take roughly five years, so there currently are no cars that run an AGL backbone available for consumers. AGL Executive Director Dan Cauchy says products should be hitting the market later this year, with even more coming in 2018. Right now, the industry is relatively fragmented when it comes to infotainment and related systems.
