2000 Ford F350 4WD Crew Cab Dually with a Hamilton Custom Cruiser conversion package. Only 151,000 miles!  This truck was built to haul your horses, cars, toy hauler, or whatever in style. It is equipped with a Western Hauler style bed with recessed tow deck for the gooseneck hitch and two side storage compartments. Mounted at the front of the bed is a 50 gallon TFI tranfer tank/tool box combo. Combined with the 40 gallon main tank gives this truck a 90 gallon fuel capacity.

The interior of this truck is upgraded with leather captain's chairs and a leather rear seat that folds down to a bed. It has a wood center console with 2 front and 2 rear storage compartments. It has wood grain accents on the dash and door panels. There is a console mounted display for the TFI transfer system that shows current fuel levels in both tanks and displays when it is automatically transfering fuel. Mounted in the pillar gauge pod are Boost, Exhaust temp and Transmission temp gauges.

Power comes from the legendary 7.3 liter Powerstroke. The one is breathing through a large Tymar style open element air filter and exhaling through a 4" inch downpipe and 4" free flowing exhaust system. It is also equipped with a BullyDog 6 position chip.
The 4R100 automatic transmission has been upgraded with a TransGo Tugger kit, Hughes triple disc Torque Converter and dual Tru Cool transmission coolers.
The differentials are 4.10 geared with the rear being a Limited Slip unit. The differentials have been routinely serviced with Royal Purple Synthetic fluids.

The Alternator and both batteries were replaced in December. The water pump was replaced at 119,000 miles. The front and rear brakes along with rear axle seals were replaced at 112,600 miles. All the ball joints were replaced at 106,000 miles. Rear pinion seal was replaced at 93,000 miles. The factory alloy wheels were replaced with new steel wheels and stainless covers at 141,400 miles to make rotating the tires easier. The front tires were replaced at the same time.

The Bad

The bed was sprayed with Linex in 2009. It was not a quality job. It is thick on the sides of the bed and is lifting in areas. The tow deck and headache rack look good. The sides will need stripped and resprayed or painted some time in the future.
There is a scrape at the bottom left side of the plastic front bumper cover and a couple dings in the drivers door. There are some paint chips on the mirrors and door handles.
The power locks work but sometimes takes a couple flips of the switch for them all to lock. They probably need cleaned and lubed.
The drivers seat is showing wear, but the rest are in good condition.
The stereo does not receive AM signal.
The tread is thin on the 2 inside rear tires. These are the 2 oldest tires on the truck with 40,000 miles on them.
If you have any questions or see something in the pictures that I failed mention just ask.

This has been an extremely reliable truck that I would not hesitate to drive anywhere. We have owned this truck since 2007 and it has hauled my family and our trailers all over the western U.S. Unfortunately my family has out grown the truck and we just don't do as much hauling as we used to. The truck is located 10 miles north of Reno Nevada. You could fly into Reno and drive the truck home. The truck is safe and secure at my place and can remain here for up to 30 days until the winning bidder is able to make shipping or travel arrangements.

Thanks to a nonpaying bidder I am relisting this truck. If you have 0 feedback please contact me before you bid otherwise I will cancel your bid. Thank you for your understanding.

Project Ugly Horse: Part V

Mon, 11 Feb 2013

The Slippery Slope
I've had a healthy appreciation for cars that stop since one truly unfortunate incident with a runaway 1971 Lincoln Continental.
It's funny how quickly a party can turn from, "We're all having blast" to "What happened to the front of the house, and how many stitches do you think this is going to take?" Standing in a Mustang salvage shop in Kodak, Tennessee, I couldn't help but feel I had strayed into the latter territory with Ugly Horse. There was a supercharged 5.4-liter V8 plucked from a rear-ended Cobra sitting off to my left. The shelves were lined with second-hand Roush and SVT components galore, but I couldn't stop staring at a set of rotors with the approximate diameter of my chest.

You can now order Domino's pizza from your Sync-equipped Ford

Tue, 07 Jan 2014

The news keeps pouring in from the Consumer Electronics Show now underway in Las Vegas, and the latest comes from Ford which has announced two new apps for its Sync AppLink system.
First up is a cooperative app launched by Ford together with Domino's Pizza that lets drivers of the former order pizza from the latter right from their car. The service allows those with Ford Sync AppLink in their car or truck and are registered with a Domino's Pizza Profile to place an order for their favorite pie using Dearborn's voice-recognition software for either pickup or delivery. Save your information in your Pizza Profile and it'll be sent to your house without even the push of a button, which strikes us as awesome a use of technology as we've ever seen.

Win a car while supporting a charity this holiday season

Thu, Dec 9 2021

Autoblog may receive a share from purchases made via links on this page. Pricing and availability are subject to change. No donation or payment necessary to enter or win this sweepstakes. See official rules on Omaze.  The leaves have fallen, there is a crispness to the air and there have already been multiple forecasts of snow, which can only mean one thing: We're coming up on Christmas. While you've been busy thinking about what kind of gifts you're going to give your loved ones, we here at Autoblog have been deciding which dream car we'd like to see in our driveway on Christmas morning. A car for Christmas does seem a bit extreme and expensive, but thanks to these Omaze sweepstakes, it doesn't have to break the bank. Here are the current sweepstakes we'd like to win this holiday season. Win a DeLorean DMC-12 - Enter at Omaze James Riswick, West Coast Editor: Let me be clear, the DeLorean is a pretty terrible car. Its speedometer doesn't even go up to the fabled 88 mph. Seriously, look at the pictures: tops out at 85. Also, who services a DeLorean? And how much would it cost to maintain one? $AlloftheMoney or just $MostoftheMoney? So owning it could be a total headache, but at least by winning one through Omaze, you'd be relieved of the financial burden of buying one in the first place. You'd also get the chance to own one of the most iconic cars of all time, one that transcends car enthusiasm and is instantly recognizable by everyone as the "Back to the Future" car. Plus, "everyone" doesn't know that the DeLorean was actually a pretty terrible car. So, I already own James Bond's car from 1995, why not Doc Brown's from 1985? Win a 2021 Bentley Bentayga V8 - Enter at Omaze Eddie Sabatini, Production Manager: Why am I choosing a +$200K Bentley SUV? Because even if I could afford one I'd never be able to wrap my head around spending money on one. So why not try to win one by donating what I can afford to a good cause? I first saw the Bentley Bentayga up close and personal at the Frankfurt Motor Show (I forget which year but I'll never forget this SUV). And although it looks like the Bentayga Omaze is offering up doesn't have the opulent tailgate setup I fell in love with when I saw it in Frankfurt, I'd still enter to win. Win a 1968 Mercedes-Benz 280SL Pagoda - Enter at Omaze Byron Hurd, Editor: Few automotive marketing efforts stick out in my head more than the Mercedes-Benz holiday spots and magazine placements.
