I am selling this truck because I used it in a business that I am no longer in. I will be cleaning the truck up and adding more pictures soon. I wanted to get the auction running as the winner of this auction will have to pick up the truck before the end of the month.About the truck-all 6 tires are like new with less than 3000 miles on them. It has the mighty 7.3 Diesel with 213654 miles on it.The seatscoverings are needing replaced or throw some seat covers in it. There is some damage to the rear fender on the drivers side(see pics). Also the rear bumper is bent (see pics). The truck does have some rust(typical in WI)I will post more pictures showing any defects with the truck.Overall it is in nice shape for a 1999. I would sell this truck for a buy it now price of $7500.00.I also reserve the right to end this auction early as it is for sale locally. The winning bidder will be required to send a $500.00 deposit via paypal with the balance to be paid in cash. This is a no reserve auction and the truck will be sold when auction ends. Please ask any questions early and I will be happy to answer. Thanks and Happy Bidding.

Ford recalls Five Hundred, Mercury Montego sedans over fuel tank woes
Mon, 18 Jul 2011Ford has announced through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that it is recalling nearly 3,000 examples of its Five Hundred and Mercury Montego (pictured) sedans from the 2007 model year.
The action, which affects 2,945 vehicles, is due to potentially defective welds between the filler neck and the fuel tank, a condition that could result in a fuel leak or the smell of gasoline reaching the occupants. In the worst-case scenario, a leak could cause a fire. Cars with the affected fuel tank problem could see an illuminated dashboard warning light as a result of the evaporative emissions leak being detected.
Ford will inspect and replace the fuel tank at no cost to owners (those who have already had the procedure done at-cost can apply for reimbursement), and the Dearborn automaker will begin notifying Five Hundred and Montego owners beginning August 15. Check out the official NHTSA press release after the jump for further details.
J Mays' legacy
Fri, 15 Nov 2013
Mays is by far not the first designer to use heritage design cues in his work.
The announcement that J Mays will be leaving his chief creative officer role at Ford Motor Company on January 1 ends a 13-year run in one of the industry's top design roles. While best known for having a hand in reborn classics like the Volkswagen New Beetle, Ford Mustang and Thunderbird (above), Mays' legacy is more complicated and nuanced than being considered the father of what is known as "retrofuturism".
Car companies used to cook up sales with recipe books
Fri, 08 Aug 2014The evolution of automotive marketing has undergone a number of strange phases. Few, though, match the strangeness of the 1930s to 1950s, when automotive marketers turned to cookbooks as a means of promoting their vehicles. Yes, cookbooks. We can't make this stuff up, folks.
This bizarre trend led to General Motors distributing cookbooks under the guise of its then-subsidiary Frigidaire. Ford, meanwhile, offered a compilation of recipes from Ford Credit Employees (shown above). The cookbook-craze wasn't limited to domestic manufacturers, though. As The Detroit News discovered, both Rolls-Royce and Volkswagen got in on the trend, although not until the 1970s.
The News has the full story on this strange bit of marketing. Head over and take a look.
