1997 F-350 Crew Cab Power Stroke ,4x4, Long Bed on 2040-cars
Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, United States
This is a hard to find classic Ford diesel truck. I liken it to a Boss 429 Mustang. It's the final year of production for this sharp body style. F-350 4X4 with the Dana60 straight front axle, four door cab and the long bed. This old truck is in very nice condition for it's age. It has 3.55 gearing with plenty of pep, but will run down the highway at 80MPH. It runs, drives, stops, steers and shifts very well. You can drive it on the interstate with a thumb and a finger. It doesn't shake, shimmy or pull. This truck has been garage kept and adult owned. It's bone stock and never messed with or abused. It's never had a gooseneck or a fifth wheel hitch. It does have a class 3 rear hitch with both electrical plugs and an electric brake control under the dash. The tires are oversized LT 305/70R 16 with 4 to 7/32 nds. of tread. The tall tires do cause the speedometer to read a little slow. The interior is near perfect and the body is very nice with the exception of the rear wheel wells. When I got it out to take these pictures it did smoke a little until it warmed up. But, it had not been started for a month or so. It's very nice and dry underneath and doesn't leak on the garage floor. I have listed the defects and will answer any questions that you may have about the truck. You may come see and drive it before bidding if you like. I want the buyer to be pleased, and if you like the older Ford diesel trucks, you will surely like this one. Check out the pictures, as I tried to include all aspects of the good and the bad points. Don't be affraid to drive this truck home if you are the winning bidder. I'm located in South Central PA. just off of I-81. Please don't try to scam or mislead me in any way. I would like to let the auction do it's thing and not sell it early. A $500 Pay Pal deposit is due within 24hr. of the end of the auction, and pick up of the truck should be within 10 days with the balance being paid in cash. Thanks for looking and good luck.

Ford Mondeo classes up with premium Vignale trim
Wed, 11 Sep 2013Back in the day, Vignale was a carrozzeria of the highest order, alongside the likes of Pininfarina, Bertone and Zagato. But like Giugiaro-ItalDesign and Ghia, it has since been subsumed into a larger auto group. Ford ended up with it under its umbrella when it took over De Tomaso, and has since used the moniker for a number of concept cars. Now the name is back in the form of a new upscale sub-brand for the European market.
The first new model to receive the Vignale treatment is the Mondeo, which Ford unveiled here at the Frankfurt Motor Show in both sedan and wagon forms. Positioned above the Titanium trim, the Vignale model gets such special touches as chrome trim and a quilted leather interior, Vignale badges replacing any mention of the Mondeo on which it's based. It also gains an ownership experience - including free car washes for life! - to befit the upscale positioning.
Under the bright spotlights above the show floor, the Nocciola metallic brown paint might not be the most photogenic, but will likely give the Vignale edition a more premium look when it hits European dealers and roads in 2015. Whether it'll be worth however much Ford asks for it, however, remains to be seen. Scroll down below for the official press release.
Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 has a bit of a dyno issue
Tue, 28 May 2013We're of the mind that each and every dyno should come with Murphy's Law painted in big, visible letters down the side. For every ten successful dyno runs out there, it seems there's one where events to horribly wrong. Take, for example, the video below. The clip shows what happens when a Ford Shelby GT500 and a mobile dyno have a bit of a disagreement at the Performance Expo 24 in Sherbrooke, Quebec. We won't spoil the results for you, but we will say there's some substantial carnage involved.
It's unclear just how much damage ensues from the dust up or whether anyone was harmed in the incident, but from the looks of things, everyone made it out without serious injury. If only we could say the same for the machines involved. Check out the video below.
