Selling a 1994 F350 7.3 turbo diesel DRW pickup that is 2 wheel drive with a manual 4spd with OD transmission. There is a long story with this truck and I am going to keep it brief. My friend owns an auto repair shop. This truck was brought to him by "the boyfriend". The truck is owned by "the Girlfriend". The boyfriend authorized a bunch of repairs. The two split up and neither wants to pay. We have had this truck for over a year with no payment. The girlfriend is willing to surrender the title for an agreed price so we are selling the truck. The reserve price will cover her cost and our repair bill. Either way we will ensure that payment is made to get her to release the title if the reserve is met. This truck has passed ny state inspection and is road ready. The repairs include:rear brakes, drums and hardware. Emergency brake cables. Front pads, rotors and calipers. Some new brake lines. Left front radius arm bracket and bushing. Left rear spring shackle bracket. New wiper blades. New glow plug relay. Two new motorcraft batteries. The tires are very good.
The Interior is very clean for the age. The driver power window is not working. The radio works but not sure if the cassette works. Not sure if the AC is not working or just needs charged. We do not do AC repair. The exhaust seems good. The clutch is pretty good as far as I can tell. We are on a dead end street so we have driven it up and down the street. The truck has rust and some holes that are pictured. Payment is due within 48 hrs. It will take us 3-4 days to get the title from the owner so please be patient. It may happen sooner but no promises. This truck is not perfect but seems pretty sound. I do know that the truck has some snap. Im not sure if the fuel injector pump is turned up but it really has some get-up and go. Detroit's new fleet of donated police cars have safety issues [w/video]
Wed, 23 Oct 2013In a show of generosity in mid-August, Detroit's business leaders donated $8 million to the Police Department and Fire Department in order to buy 100 new police vehicles and 23 EMS ambulances. But now officers have discovered - and complained - that the police vehicles have glaring safety issues, Deadline Detroit reports. It is not made clear what models of the fleet vehicles - which include police versions of the Ford Taurus, the Chevrolet Caprice and the Dodge Charger - are affected by the safety issues.
Officers reportedly have complained that the Plexiglass partition separating front-seat officers and back-seat prisoners is easily breached, and that the front passenger seat is installed too close to the dashboard. Prisoners who manage to writhe out of their handcuffs can bend the Plexiglass and reach into the cockpit, and sitting too close to the dashboard can render airbags more dangerous and make officers more vulnerable to injury in a crash.
Mark Diaz, president of the Detroit Police Officers Association, received the complaints and reportedly said the vehicles would get safety updates addressing the issues. But Deadline Detroit reports that it checked some of the offending police cars and, as of the last few days, they hadn't been updated.
Ford Tourneo ready for duty in Connect, Courier and Custom flavors [w/videos]
Wed, 06 Mar 2013Ford was relatively quiet at the Geneva Motor Show, but it did take the opportunity to roll out its new family of Tourneo vans: the Courier, Connect, Grand Connect and Custom. As the passenger version of the Transit cargo vans, the new range of Tourneo models vary from the B-segment Courier up to the fullsize Custom. The Connect and Grand Connect are based on the redesigned 2014 Ford Transit Connect.
With an overall length just three inches longer than the Fiesta hatchback, the Tourneo Courier seats four to five passengers, and it offers a choice of three engines: the 1.0-liter EcoBoost or two small diesels. Like the 2014 Transit Connect was saw in Paris last year, the Tourneo Connect comes in a five-seat configuration while the Grand Connect can seat seven. Finally, the Tourneo Custom seats up to nine passengers, and it is available in two lengths up to 210 inches long putting it just six inches shorter than a standard-length E-Series van and about a foot longer than the Explorer.

2015 Ford F-150 configurator is ready to go to work
Thu, 25 Sep 2014Ford is inching towards the on-sale date for the eagerly anticipated, aluminum F-150 pickup. While we're preparing to drive the new truck (expect our take on it sooner rather than later), the best-seller has reached another, albeit more minor, milestone as its online configurator has officially been switched on.
We took to Ford's consumer website to mess about with it and see just how ridiculous of a truck we can build. Among the fun things we discovered were these two nuggets - the most expensive truck we could configure was not the top-end Platinum model, but instead the King Ranch, which rang up at $65,955. The other exciting discovery? The new truck would be available in a questionable shade called Blue Jeans (shown above with the optional contrasting Caribou paint). Yep, Blue Jeans.
You can head over to Ford's consumer page and build your very own aluminum F-150 now. Take a look.
