Driver's side interior door panel has some scuffs inside door cubbies/cup holders (shown in picture). The body is straight and beautiful with the following minor exceptions. There is a door ding on the driver's side front door (shown in picture). There is an indentation on the inside of the tailgate, visible only when tailgate is open (shown in picture). A landscaping rock was placed on the tailgate and dented it. Other than these three imperfections, the truck is in excellent condition with just minor wear/tear. To my knowledge, according to original owner and while I've owned it, it has never been in an accident. It has been very well taken care of."

Up for auction is my 2003 Ford F-350 Crew Cab XLT 7.3 Liter Powerstroke Diesel truck. It has four wheel drive and the off road package. The truck is very clean and in excellent running condition. I'm the second owner. It has 2 batteries, a K&N air filter recently added, undercoating of chassis (see pic), very clean interior with no tears, no cracked glass, a Ford bed-liner, tilting rear seat with storage behind, 6 seat belts, an 8 ft bed, sliding rear glass, nearly brand new BF Goodrich tires, a CD player, and a lot of power! It has the one ton truck heavy duty tow package. I had the front door windows tinted at legal limit in Florida. The tint is LLumar FormulaOne (ceramic) and comes with a transferable lifetime warranty - there's an actual credit card styled card that goes with it (see picture, sorry got cut off a bit). This is the best automotive window tint in the US. 2003 was the final and best year that the 7.3 liter Powerstroke was produced, and also the first year the 6.0 liter Powerstroke was introduced (which was an utter disaster). I've now owned two 7.3's and absolutely love them.

Because I always ask when purchasing a vehicle, here's why I'm selling the truck: After looking extensively for a couple weeks, I purchased it from the original owner in December 2012. I sold my home in Florida in December, but was not moving to California for medical school until July 2013. I bought the truck and a 30 ft trailer to move to my Florida apartment in January 2013, store the majority of my belongings for 6 months, and the to move to Loma Linda, CA in July 2013. In between moves, for the first half of 2013, I drove the truck a few times a week to school part time. I've now started med school here in California, and as much as I love the truck, I need the tuition money more. That's why I bought the truck and am selling it so quickly - that was the plan and it has served its purpose. My wife and I each have a car and we don't need the truck at this point in our lives.

The truck performed flawlessly for both moves. Coming to California I hauled a 30 ft trailer loaded down with all of my belongings, about 9500 lbs in all, and the truck towed it effortlessly. The transmission shifts smooth and the diesel engine is a powerhouse. I also tested out the four wheel drive when I needed to pull the trailer up a dirt drive incline - it works great. All in all, it's a fantastic truck and will make its 3rd owner proud.

Feel free to email with questions. As I mentioned, I'm in med school and consequently don't have time to meet for test drives/viewings. I've included everything I can think of in the listing and will be happy to answer anything additionally via email. I have a clear Florida title in hand, with no lien's (see picture, I covered identifying info). BTW, the brake controller and hitch/ball shown in the pictures do not come with the truck (the receiver hitch is included with truck). Happy bidding!

Lego provides one of the cheapest ways to own a Bugatti Chiron

Tue, Jan 3 2017

Just over a month ago, we got a look at one of the latest Lego Speed Champions sets when Ford revealed the GT and GT40 kit. Now we get to see the rest of the lineup, and it's chock full of F1 and supercar goodness. The official Lego images show that the Bugatti Chiron, Mercedes-AMG GT3, Ferrari FXX K, and F1 cars from Ferrari and Mercedes all made the cut. Each set gets some unique features and most include interchangeable wheel covers. The Chiron comes with some tiny cones suitable for desk slaloms and the Mercedes-AMG GT3 gets an alternate nose. The FXX K comes has the most impressive selection of accessories, though, as it includes a dyno and engine run stand. The F1 sets are divided similarly, but with Mercedes getting more extras. The Brick Fan also reports that the Mercedes kit may be exclusive to select stores. The Ferrari kit only comes with a starting light, but the Mercedes set includes a garage, starting lights, and winner's circle. It'll be up to you whether you put Hamilton or Rosberg in that winner's circle. According to The Brick Fan, these kits are set for release in winter 2017. Since the Ford GT set has a release of March 1, we expect the rest will hit stores in the next couple of months. They're sure to be great additions to anyone's existing Lego garage. Justin Bell makes a horrible policeman

Mon, 11 Nov 2013

If you're wondering what type of person makes a good police officer, it seems a racecar driver doesn't. Let us rephrase that: Justin Bell, a racecar driver and the host of Motor Trend's World's Fastest Car Show, recently got behind the wheel of a 5.0-liter Ford Mustang police car with Sergeant Daniel Shrubb, co-founder of DRAGG (Drag Racing Against Gangs and Graffiti), and proved that his high-performance-driving skillset is a bit too aggressive for police duty.
While it's easy to get carried away in a Mustang GT, a patrol car driver must maintain some sort of restraint while pursuing a criminal, so as not to come off as a reckless driver to the public. We'll admit, some pursuit techniques are counter-intuitive to performance driving (stay off the gas in a lane-change exercise?), but Bell's judicious use of the handbrake can't be normal procedure.
Watch "The One With The Ford Mustang 5.0 Police Car" (yes, we caught the Friends reference too) below to see some shenanigans in one of Michigan's finest patrol cars.

Ford Escort Concept goes back to basics

Fri, 19 Apr 2013

Here's the thing about China: The folks buying cars there have a very different set of standards than shoppers in many other markets around the globe. While we all drool over hot metal with bold designs, and while we appreciate automakers going an extra step to inject even their cheapest offerings with aggressive and interesting cues, that sort of sheetmetal sex appeal doesn't always sell in the People's Republic. Case in point is Jaguar, which may be designing a more traditional-looking version of its XJ for the Chinese market, or more to the point of this story, Ford currently sells the less-exciting, last-generation Focus compact in China right alongside the new one.
So consider this new Shanghai-bound C-segment concept a preview of what's to come for that more traditional, budget-minded, less-sexy market. More proof of this pudding: Ford's even calling this concept the Escort - a nod to the Blue Oval's compact car days of yore, and a name that stirs up thoughts of basic, affordable transportation rather than great driving dynamics or bold design. "Customers in China described seeking a vehicle that is stylish - but not one that is arrogant or pretentious," Ford states. And this new Escort concept previews a possibility of providing exactly that for this rapidly expanding automotive market.
What you're looking at, then, is one of the most simple Ford designs we've seen of late, though it still incorporates all of the automaker's latest DNA. The signature hexagonal grille is front and center, flanked by attractive LED headlamps and chrome-rimmed foglamp housings. The entire car's design focuses on clean, smooth surfaces, with one strong character line flowing from front to back just below the beltline. We will say that the car looks decidedly more premium from the rear view, where narrow, horizontal taillamps with an LED accent give the car added visual width. Bland as it may be, it's a handsome little concept, though fear what would likely happen if all of the conceptual details get dumbed down for a production model.
