Turbo Diesel Long Bed 82k Miles Ford Esp Extended Warranty 2wd on 2040-cars
Kansas City, Missouri, United States
I'm selling my 2006 2WD Ford F250 diesel XLT long bed with 4-door SuperCab, grey cloth bench seats in the rear and front. It has tubular running boards, yellow roof lights, chrome wheels, power locks and windows, vinyl flooring, CD player with AM/FM stereo, rigid bedliner, tow package with bumper hitch and B&W gooseneck hide-a-ball hitch, tinted windows. I keep the gooseneck ball in the cab, so it is not shown in the photo, but will be included with the truck.
There is a Ford ESP extended warranty in place (purchased from the dealership) and transferrable to the new owner, valid through 5/12/15 or 113,000 miles. This truck has some scratches, paint chips, and dings on the exterior that I've attempted to show in the photos, as well as some stains to the seating, but is in good mechanical condition and has had 5 fuel injectors replaced under the ESP warranty. Adult owned and maintained at the dealership; both batteries were replaced in July 2014 and it just recently passed state inspection with no issues. However, the chrome on the front grille is bubbling a bit (shown in the photos) and the Ford logo has faded. This is my 2nd vehicle, so was only lightly used by me. Towed a 3-horse trailer with ease, and gets great gas mileage. It has no known mechanical issues or leaks and the tires are at 80% or more, as shown in the photos. I had the truck professionally detailed by the dealership in July 2014, so it is clean inside and out. Clean title, no liens. Currently has 82,160 miles. Located in Kansas City, MO - you're welcome to come look at it if you're in the area. Please feel free to ask questions. |

2015 Ford Mustang prototype spotted on the street
Mon, 10 Jun 2013Our trusty spy photographers have snapped the first photos of the 2015 Ford Mustang prototype out on public streets. With nearly every square inch of the machine covered in heavy camouflage, it's difficult to discern details, but we can see smallish horizontal headlamps at work in the coupe's nose. Ford has made it clear that modern lighting technology will allow the company to get away from large, expensive headlamp arrays in the near future, and the 2015 Mustang may very well be the first of the automaker's products to bow with the new tech. The philosophy was first displayed on the very attractive Evos Concept.
The extensive cladding doesn't extend all the way to the prototype's rockers in the instance, giving us a look at the heavily-sculpted sills. Overall, this test car looks considerably smaller than the current generation Mustang, and elements like a short front overhang and beefy dual-piston calipers give us plenty of hope for the future model. Of course, reports that the 2015 Mustang will bow with an independent rear suspension and EcoBoost power certainly don't hurt our feelings, either.
2015 Ford Focus Electric hides in plain sight
Wed, 16 Apr 2014The styling changes to the 2015 Ford Focus were shown off at the recent Geneva Motor Show, so what the EV version looks like is not that much of a surprise. Still, the 2015 Focus Electric is making its world debut here at the New York Auto Show, so we wanted to know what changes we are looking at compared to both the internal combustion engine version and the earlier EV models.
The exterior visual distinctions between the ICE and EV are minimal, and basically nonexistent from the A-pillar to the rear. Up front, you can see the charge port, of course, but the front fascia has also undergone a bit of an adjustment. The front doesn't have the ICE version's flattened grille and the EV's Ford logo creates a bump in the hood line where none exists on the ICE. The 2015's grille is also different than the one on the 2014 Focus Electric, being slightly smaller (you can see this better if you compare pictures in our new gallery above to these of the 2011 Focus Electric and these of the gas-powered 2015 Focus).
The updated 2015 interior - which we couldn't access ourselves - has things like a new center stack, improved cupholders and is basically identical between the gas and electric models. With the car off, you can't even tell if you're in an EV or ICE, Seema Bardwaj, the US brand manager for the Focus, told AutoblogGreen. The only things that are different, she said, are extra menu screens to show EV powertrain information to the driver.
First Ford Mustang prototype shots caught by legendary spy shooter Jim Dunne
Fri, 12 Apr 2013You know how people refer to someone as having "been around the block" to mean they're very experienced? Well, when it comes to automotive spy photography, Jim Dunne actually laid down the concrete slabs of the block's sidewalk. The unforgettable Dunne more or less invented the car spy game - a fact he cemented by writing book called Car Spy - and has been delivering spy shots and reporting on the industry for some 45 years now. (He also once employed this writer as his impromptu personal chauffer on a Volkswagen trip in Germany, while he slept, but that's a story for a different time.)
In any event, Dunne must be on a mission to prove that "elder statesman" doesn't also mean "washed up" as it is his shots of the upcoming new 2014 Ford Mustang that we've been handed by our friends at KGP Photography.
Mr. Dunne has likely spent the last few years obtaining powerful telescopic lenses, as the Ford in question has clearly been photographed from some distance. Nevertheless, what you see here is visual evidence that the sixth-generation Mustang has moved beyond the mule stage, and is now testing in proper prototype form. Sources indicate that there are production-spec body panels under that baggy canvass dress; but the slightly less bulky silhouette of the new car can be just made out. While the car's bumpers have been removed to obfuscate things, we can tell by way of the camo's apertures that the car's taillights have moved upwards and towards the lip of the tail. A fender vent appears to be visible, too, just behind the front wheel.
