This truck is a time capsule. Un-restored, with allot of originality. The Truck was purchased new in Colorado to be used specifically for hauling a slide in truck camper. The original owner parked it in a garage in 1979, with just 30,000 miles on it. It sat virtually untouched for 28 years. In 2007 his great grand son inherited the truck and had it shipped over to the east coast. Anything rubber that had rotten from storage was replaced & the truck was put back on the road and used as a daily driver since then. It now has just over 43,000 miles on it. The truck has been very well preserved & has no body rot at all. The orange paint was added, but the white part is the original paint & still holds a nice shine. This is not a museum piece, but is in very good condition with minimal dings & only minor surface rust inside the truck bed from where the truck camper rubbed off the original paint. The interior has very little wear on it and shows great. The truck is fine tuned and runs excellent. All brakes, brake lines, parking brake, gauges, lights, controls, heat, defrost, horn etc.... every thing works like a new truck. No annoying quirks or intermittent problems. You can get in this truck & drive cross country today. If you buy this truck, you're not getting a restored truck, your getting an original well preserved truck that has patina & character that can't be duplicated & is rarely found. You can use it as a daily driver, but if you're looking for a classic truck to restore, this is the one you want. Absolutely no time will be wasted patching rust or replacing body panels. You may pay more up front for this one, but you'll save a fortune in time & money down the road. The underside has never had any undercoating put on it. When you crawl up underneath, you won't find any body rot, what you will see is factory primer & some very minimal surface rust. No under coating, no spray in bed liner, nothing hidden here. Daily driver or easy restoration --- THIS IS THE TRUCK YOU WANT !

Ford recalls over 680,000 Ford Fusions, Mondeos, and Lincoln MKZs for seat belt pretensioners
Fri, Dec 2 2016Update: We spoke with a Ford representative who said that owners will be notified by mail during the week of January 16 . Dealers will also have the fix available at the same time. Owners can bring in their vehicles to dealers for an evaluation in the mean time. The main text has been updated to reflect this. The Basics: Ford is recalling 680,872 2013-2016 Ford Fusions, 2015-2016 Ford Mondeos, and 2013-2015 Lincoln MKZ s for an issue with front driver-side and passenger-side seat belt pretensioners. The Problem: The seat-belt pretensioners did not have sufficient insulation applied. When the pretensioners are activated, the heat generated can cause the cables connected to the belts to separate, which in turn can prevent the seat belts from effectively restraining the occupant. This can lead to injuries. Injuries/Deaths: Ford reports two accidents and two injuries have occurred that are related to this recall. The fix: A dealer technician will inject an insulation coating around the pretensioner. This should effectively keep the heat away from the cables, ensuring the seat belt will properly restrain the user in a collision. If you own one: Affected owners will be notified by mail on the week of January 16. Dealers will have the fix available that week, and owners will be able to bring in their vehicles for the fix to be implemented free of charge. Related Video:
Ford ready to install GE Wattstations at 60 locations in North America
Thu, Mar 20 2014Upper-level Ford executives are sending mixed messages about the power of plug-in vehicles, but in the companies parking lots across North America, at least, the signal is clear: come on and charge your EV. Today, Ford and GE announced that the Blue Oval will be installing Wattstation chargers at its Dearborn HQ and will then add units at more than 60 locations across the US and Canada, including "offices, product development campuses and manufacturing facilities." If you're a Ford employee, then you get four hours of free charging a day. That should be plenty to top off any of the company's plug-in vehicles, even the Focus Electric, and the time limit encourages drivers to swap cars at lunch, because Ford wants to encourage charging station sharing and get more employees to plug in. Ford doesn't mention the DOE's Workplace Charging Challenge by name in the release (available below), but we suspect these Wattstations are part of that project. Ford was one of the founding members, joining the Workplace Charging Challenge on January 31, 2013. On that date, the Ford Motor Company and Ford dealers had over 1,750 charging stations installed on company/dealer property. Ford, GE WattStation Chargers Support Employee Electric Vehicle Charging Network Ford to install its first employee electric vehicle charging station network in Dearborn, Mich.; facilities across the United States and Canada to follow Ford will work with GE as its network provider and supplier of electric vehicle charging stations; networked stations will help Ford understand charging usage and plan for future installations Ford electrified vehicles have logged an estimated 65 million electric miles over the last 18 months. Ford now offers six electrified vehicles, including Focus Electric, C-MAX Energi and Fusion Energi plug-in hybrids, and C-MAX and Fusion hybrid vehicles Ford Motor Company in conjunction with GE, will supply vehicle charging stations at Ford facilities nationwide, beginning with facilities in and around its headquarters. The announcement continues the innovative cooperation begun more than 100 years ago between Henry Ford and Thomas Edison, co-founder of GE. This month, Ford will begin installing GE WattStation™ charging stations across its North American campuses, developing a workplace charging network at nearly every Ford facility in the United States and Canada.
