I'm selling my 1999 Ford F250 4x4 Diesel to the highest bidder. I am relocating and changing jobs so I no longer need the truck. It is for sale locally so auction may end at any time. I have over 20k invested in this truck. I realize I will never get my money back but whoever buys this truck will have a nice dependable ride. I just put 4 new Nitto TrailGrapplers ($1800) about 8000 miles ago so tires are good. It has 20 inch vtech chrome rims. The center cap on the drivers side front broke so it will need to be replaced. This can be ordered through vtech website. I started to do so before this auction but they were out of stock. I also had a 4 inch stainless exhaust installed this summer and it sounds great. The torque converter fins started to come apart so before I ran into any problems I had the torque convertor replaced with a heavy duty torque convertor for towing since I pull my camper all over the country. I never had any trouble with the transmission but did not want to take the chance of having to shop my truck twice because torque convertor problems usually lead to transmission problems so I had a heavy duty rebuild done on the transmission with heavy duty clutches. The old clutches did not look bad but I already had the torque convertor out and was planning on keeping this truck a long time. I also installed an Airaid cold air intake with dry filter. This truck runs perfect and everything is in perfect working order. There is absolutely nothing on this truck that does not work. The only bad thing I can say about it is that its got a couple of spots on the bed on the passenger side where the paint was messed up due to a pressure washer (not paying attention)! These couple of spots are less than half the size of a penny. Oh yeah and the truck has a 5 inch suspension lift. I will be happy to answer any questions you may have. Thanks.

Which car companies are creating new jobs in America?
Fri, Sep 22 2017Since January, automakers have announced investments totaling $9.5 billion in U.S. plants, creating or retaining more than 12,000 jobs. Some of those companies have yet to announce just how many jobs will be created given their investments, with the location of many of those jobs still to be determined. Specifically, the 4,000-job Toyota-Mazda joint venture plant still hasn't announced its location, with numerous states jockeying for it. Hyundai has plans to invest $1 billion but has not announced a jobs number yet. And likewise Ford is investing $1.2 billion in Michigan without specifying a number of jobs. Volvo this week announced plans to add a second line to its factory under construction in South Carolina, spending another $500 million and adding 2,500 jobs to the 2,000 it was already trying to fill. Then Thursday, Daimler announced a $1 billion expansion to its facility in Tuscaloosa, Ala., to produce EV batteries and electric SUVs, a move that will add 600 jobs to its hiring this year. Above, we've created a handy pie chart showing you which companies have announced new jobs and how many there will be. J Mays on the 2015 Ford Mustang
Thu, 05 Dec 2013J Mays, head of design at Ford, may be retiring from the company after 16 years, but not before showing the world his swan song: the 2015 Mustang. Ford officially revealed its new coupe and convertible to the public at events around the world on Thursday, including a live unveiling on ABC's Good Morning America, and Mays was in attendance at the automaker's home event in Dearborn, MI, which is where we caught up with him for a few words about his new baby.
"It's a joy" to design the Mustang, Mays told Autoblog, adding that this sixth-generation coupe is his "favorite design so far." Of course, the 2015 model takes cues from all of the generations that came before it, but Mays said it was important to edit down the specific elements from previous models, leaving just enough off to let the customer "participate and fill in the blanks."
"If it doesn't sell itself, you probably aren't a Mustang fan."
2015 Ford Focus
Tue, 14 Oct 2014Sitting down at the pre-drive briefing with Ford engineers ahead of sampling the refreshed 2015 Focus, water bottles clinked as we wet our whistles before Q&A. While pouring a glass, we noticed something stamped on the bottle label: "1L." One liter. We were palming the exact displacement of the EcoBoost engine our group was about to drive. This was undoubtedly coincidence (such bottles litter every conference and dinner table in Europe) but it served to drive home just how small the total swept volume of Ford's wunderkind powerplant really is. It's tiny.
Of course, this isn't our first run-in with the little triple - we've sampled its turbocharged charms before in Ford's smaller Fiesta. At that time, we found it had plenty of poke for the subcompact, but the larger C-segment Focus carries around another 450 pounds or so and pushes a wider profile through the air. Would the three-cylinder have the stuffing to make the most of the Focus' athletic chassis, or would it be a letdown? Would it be the same as it was when we tested it in a Euro-spec Focus a couple of years ago? There was nothing left for it but to head out on the bucolic roads surrounding Versailles the day after the Paris Motor Show and find out for ourselves.
