This is one of the sharpest F250's around. I have yet to see another with this color scheme.  It is a short bed crew cab 4x4.  This does have the sought after 7.3 liter International engine. It has a plug in block heater if you have to leave it out.  It will start at any temp, any day.  It does not smoke.  It runs like it did off the lot.  I have put 80,000 miles on it since I purchased it from my brother in law who is meticulous.  It has big exhaust.  New stainless tips.  All four new shocks.  All new glow plugs.  Brand new oversized tires!  Everything works.  Power locks/windows, cruise, cd with auxilary for i pod or android phone.  K&N filter and cold air intake.  Old school Super Chips programmer.  It only goes to 80 HP on the max setting, so it is very safe.  My brother in law was a trucker and wanted more gauges, so he put in the 3 pod set on the window post. (EGT, Tranny temp, and Boost).  This truck had a brand new tranny put in at 80,000 miles.  It has never skipped a beat for me.  I have never done anything, nor needed to except put on tires, general up keep, etc.  I put $800 worth of glow plugs last year to find out that it was just a bad solenoid that activated them...  This truck is very, very clean for a 2000.  People are constantly complementing it and thinking it is much newer.  It sounds awesome, nice and mellow, not loud and obnoxious.  It has a flip up ball in the bed for a fifth wheel.  I occasionally pulled my gooseneck flatbed to get an antique tractor.  Other than that I don't pull with it much.  It does have the trailer brake hookup.  My brother in law pulled a camper to its spot in the spring and home in the fall.  You will be very impressed with how new this truck feels and looks.  The only bad is a small dent in the front bumper. (cement post at a gas station) and the under side of the front two doors are getting a small bit of rust starting that can be stopped easily.  This truck is rust free other than that.  Always been garaged with heat.  Always washed and clean.  Call me don't email.  319-231-8974.  I am open to offers, if they are reasonable and in person.  You can scour craigslist and ebay etc and will not find 7.3's for sale in this condition.   This is a great find.  The truck has 193,000.  Just broke in.

The history and future of the Ford Bronco

Tue, 17 Jun 2014

Some have suggested that the Bronco's demise was hastened by the fallout from the O.J. trial.
Twenty years ago today, ex-NFL linebacker Al "A.C." Cowlings drove his friend and onetime running back Orenthal James "O.J." Simpson on a parade lap of the Los Angeles highway system and onto an ignoble page of the history books. If you're in your late 20s or older, or a fastidious young student of 1990s American history, you're absolutely aware that Al and O.J.'s steed for the 'chase' was a white Ford Bronco. The white Ford Bronco, even.

Ford mulling EcoSport for US? [w/poll]

Mon, 03 Jun 2013

"We certainly have that ability. We're studying it very, very closely." Those are the words of Jim Farley, global head of sales, marketing, service at Ford. The investigation Farley is referring to is the possibility of selling the company's new EcoSport crossover in America.
The diminutive Fiesta-based EcoSport was developed for emerging markets like Brazil and, more recently, China, but it apparently may have a future in the States, where it would form a new entry-level rung below the Escape in Ford's already robust crossover stable. Ford has big plans for its tiny CUV - Farley tells Automotive News that the EcoSport is only available in 10 countries right now, but by 2017, its distribution will have mushroomed to 62 countries. At the time the second-generation model launched at the 2012 Beijing Motor Show as a 2013 model, Ford said the EcoSport would eventually be sold in nearly 100 markets worldwide.
The Brazilian- and Indian-assembled EcoSport is available with a variety of gasoline-powered engines, but the 1.0-liter, three-cylinder EcoBoost giving 118 horsepower and 125 pound-feet of torque would seem to be the powertrain of choice for America, as it was recently confirmed for the stateside 2014 Fiesta.

Autoblog's Editors' Picks: Our complete list of the best new vehicles

Mon, May 13 2024

It's not easy to earn an “EditorsÂ’ Picks” at Autoblog as part of the rating and review process that every new vehicle goes through. Our editors have been at it a long time, which means weÂ’ve driven and reviewed virtually every new car you can go buy on the dealer lot. There are disagreements, of course, and all vehicles have their strengths and weaknesses, but this list features what we think are the best new vehicles chosen by Autoblog editors. We started this formal review process back in 2018, so there's quite of few of them now. So what does it mean to be an EditorsÂ’ Pick? In short, it means itÂ’s a car that we can highly recommend purchasing. There may be one, multiple, or even zero vehicles in any given segment that we give the green light to. What really matters is that itÂ’s a vehicle that weÂ’d tell a friend or family member to go buy if theyÂ’re considering it, because itÂ’s a very good car. The best way to use this list is is with the navigation links below. Click on a segment, and you'll quickly arrive at the top rated pickup truck or SUV, for example. Use the back button to return to these links and search in another segment, like sedans. If youÂ’ve been keeping up with our monthly series of the latest vehicles to earn EditorsÂ’ Pick status, youÂ’re likely going to be familiar with this list already. If not, welcome to the complete list that weÂ’ll be keeping updated as vehicles enter (and others perhaps exit) the good graces of our editorial team. We rate a new car — giving it a numerical score out of 10 — every time thereÂ’s a significant refresh or if it happens to be an all-new model. Any given vehicle may be impressive on a first drive, but we wait until itÂ’s in the hands of our editors to put it through the same type of testing as every other vehicle that rolls through our test fleet before giving it the EditorsÂ’ Pick badge. This ensures consistency and allows more voices to be heard on each individual model. And just so you donÂ’t think weÂ’ve skipped trims or variants of a model, we hand out the EditorsÂ’ Pick based on the overarching model to keep things consistent. So, when you read that the 3 Series is an EditorsÂ’ Pick, yes, that includes the 330i to the M3 and all the variants in between. If thereÂ’s a particular version of that car we vehemently disagree with, we make sure to call that out.
