I have owned this truck since October or November of 2012 and it is Meticulously maintained every 5k miles with motorcraft filters and Valvoline Premium Blue 15w40 diesel oil. Over $5k spent this year. New tie rods, drag link, ball joints, all seals in hubs & axles, front rotors, brake pads all around, sway bar links and bushings, fan, fan clutch, water pump, thermostat, Cam Position Sensor, glowplugs, glow plug relay, Under Valve Cover harness, Valve cover gaskets, all fuel bowl orings, driver side and passenger side fuel rail lines, fuel pump, 2 injectors. New batteries and positive cables this week. All motorcraft parts except the alternator (NAPA), that I put on same day as bateries. Rocker panels and fender edges are bed lined. 08+ tail lights with harness built, not cut and splice. Riffraff intake. Stainless-steel braided 4wd vacuum hub hoses from DieseSite. Billett thermostat housing, billet fuel pressure housing.  No tears in carpet or cloth, no cracks in plastic. CB radio wired in, but no antenna. Sony Xplod headunit installed when I purchased. Will be updating the 4x4 decas this week to the new style Fx4 decal, also have header panel and Harley Edition headlights for an 05-07 f250 that I purchased to update the front end end that I never got around to. I will throw those in for an additional $150, if you want them, if not, that's fine too. If you do buy them, all that is needed to complete the update would be an 05-07 grill and front bumper. I am sure I am forgetting some things, but over all great condition, once a month I drive it to Alomogordo, Nm about 400 miles away for military duty and it never misses a beat. Avg 18.5 mpg. Only reason I am selling this pickup is because my wife and I are looking to move to a larger city soon so I can finish school, and I will be needing a car. Sad to see this truck go. In pictures the hood is open slightly because I was changing batteries. Mileage will go up slightly as I drive it very occasionally, however right now I am mainly driving one of my father in laws vehicle, so the mileage wont increase by much. Has no leaks. Just a great, solid truck with gobs of power and plenty of room for more, with not much work. If you have any questions please ask, or if you would like to see pictures of something specific please let me know and I will do my best to accomodate. Thank you, and happy bidding.

V6 engines will outpace V8s for the 2015 Ford F-150

Wed, 23 Jul 2014

How times have changed. Even five years ago, who would have thought the mighty V8 would be just another engine choice for buyers of the 2015 Ford F-150?
Ford is projecting about 28 percent of the next-generation trucks will have the 5.0-liter V8. That's nothing to sneeze at, but consider this: Ford figures its two EcoBoost truck engines - the new 2.7-liter V6 and the existing 3.5-liter V6 - will also each account for about 28 percent of the F-150's sales (56 percent total). That leaves only 15 percent of the pie for the 3.5-liter (non-EcoBoost) V6. The new F-150 goes on sale late this year.

Ken Block walks you through his new 'Hoonigan Racing' HQ

Tue, 24 Jun 2014

Ken Block seems like one hell of a nice guy. I ran into him at CES this past January, and he dropped the video games he was playing to chat with me for a while. His crew also recently gave our Steve Ewing a tour of the offices you're about to see on this video. Good guy to know.
As it turns out, they're some fairly cool new digs. Dubbed 'Hoonigan Racing Division HQ,' the office is open to Ford Focus ST and Fiesta ST owners who attend the driving program offered out at Miller Motorsports Park. The very same program that Ewing reported on just recently.
Or, if you've no plans to buy an ST or travel to Utah any time soon, you can let Block show you around himself in this MTV Cribs-style video. With interior decorating that relies heavily on shipping containers and luxurious amenities like a ping pong table, 10 refrigerators and a bear(?), there's no lack of eye-candy in the driverly HQ. (Judging by Block's outfit, you'll probably not go thirsty if you're a Monster drinker, either.) Take the tour along with the Gymkhana master, below.

NHTSA and Ford investigating steering issues in Crown Vic, Grand Marquis and Marauder

Fri, 11 Jul 2014

There may be more steering woes for the Ford Crown Victoria. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has opened a preliminary evaluation into the Crown Vic and Mercury Grand Marquis from the 2004 to 2007 model years and the Mercury Marauder for the 2004 and 2005 model years because the steering shaft can jam. The issue could potentially affect an estimated 500,000 vehicles.
According to the regulator, there is a possibility that the driver's side heat shield for the exhaust manifold can rust, dislodge, and then wedge into the steering shaft. If this occurs, it leads to a situation where the driver can no longer control the car.
NHTSA has received five complaints of this happening, including one alleged case with an injury. In that situation, the car was driving onto the highway, lost control and rolled over. One occupant was hurt in the accident.
