2005 F250 Ford Super Duty on 2040-cars
Newbury, Massachusetts, United States
The Bad: Passenger side has dent.(hit and run) The good : The bed DOES NOT have the rust issues that Fords are known for This truck has never seen a load or been plowed. I used it more as a car than a truck. It does have newer tires that are a few sizes bigger than stock. Chrome rims, all the creature comforts. Brakes were new when i parked it in the garage before winter. I have seen the bed sides go for 120 on Ebay here. I bought a new truck and haven't driven this one in a while so it sits in the garage and would be a great work truck, I do start it once a week and let it come up to temperature. This truck was a good truck for a long time, now its time to send her to someone that could utilize the full capacity of it. I hate to see it sit there so as i said i would like to sell it. I dont have to but i would love to have the space that it's taking up.
It's a truck so it's not a Lexus - it runs great , it drives great (straight) , and it will pull a house down. I love this truck and would like to see it go down the road to someone who would care for it as much as i do. It may have a dent but as you can see i keep it very clean. I will sell with a newly released title and put new gas in it. It has Stabil in it now because like i said i dont use it. I will run that out and send it with fresh gas for the right bidder.. Well Guys and Gals - GOOD LUCK BIDDING !!! Here is the link to KBB.COM With damage and all the approximate value is $16368.00 Here is the link.. kbb.com/ford/f250-super-duty-crew-cab/2005-ford-f250-super-duty-crew-cab/lariat-pickup-4d-6-3-4-ft/?intent=trade-in-sell&vehicleid=347242&options=4166534|true|4166555|true|4166690|true|4166637|true|4166714|true|4166746|true&mileage=123000&pricetype=private-party&condition=good&persistedcondition=good |

Former Ford CEO Mulally won't run for president
Mon, 15 Sep 2014Alan Mulally will not be following his successful term as president and CEO of Ford Motor Company with a run at an even bigger presidency. Rumors that the 68-year-old former Boeing exec would make a run at the White House sprouted after his apparent dodging of a reporter's questions about a potential candidacy during a forum in Indianapolis.
"I really think it's important that we all pull together. We really need to pull together around a compelling vision for our country and a comprehensive strategy to do it and work together. We really need to do it," Mulally said at the conference, according to The Detroit News.
He's since clarified by saying, "[I'm] honored at the suggestion, but that is not a role I am considering."
How that awesome Mustang R/C car chase vid was made
Tue, 06 Aug 2013We've reported on a few R/C car chase videos in the past. One in particular that stands out as a favorite is Zach King's "The Cliché RC Action Chase." It featured a pair of Ford Mustang coupes racing through a cardboard city, plowing into outdoor patios and busting through construction zones. It was wonderfully creative and fun to watch, yet we know there was more to its creation than a bunch of guys fooling around with a camera one afternoon.
Turns out we were right, as evidenced by this video produced by Ford that takes us behind the scenes of Zach's creation. The young filmmaker explains why he chose the Mustang to star in his video, as well as how the cardboard sets were created, what equipment they used for shooting and what it was like when his video went viral. Ford found the young filmmaker and produced the followup as part of its Mustang Countdown video series, which will see a new video about the Mustang culture released every week until the original muscle car's anniversary on April 17, 2014.
Want to make an RC chase video of your own? Yeah, we do too. Watch the behind-the-scenes video below (you can refresh yourself on the mini feature film, too) before you get started.
Buyers ditching expensive European sedans to buy expensive American trucks
Mon, Feb 19 2018The New York Times ended the automotive week with a story that adds numbers and context to a range of other stories, from the crossover craze to the increasing median price of a new car to ever more grandiose pickup trucks. The NYT piece reveals that the shift to larger vehicles isn't merely about the average U.S. buyer swapping the midsize sedan for a Ford Edge. Luxury buyers are migrating from plush sedans to plush SUVs and trucks that creep close to six-figure prices, and the Detroit Three are running Treasury presses because of it. From 2013 to 2017, the truck category — everything from pickups to minivans — climbed from 30 percent of the market to 41 percent. In January of this year, trucks claimed 66 percent of new vehicle sales. At the milk-and-honey end of profits, GMC alone accounted for 11.3 percent of all vehicle sales over $60,000, not just trucks. That puts the luxury truck maker behind Mercedes-Benz and Ford, The Blue Oval's feasting on Lariat, King Ranch and Raptor versions of the F-150, which make up more than half of that pickup's sales, putting it ahead of Chevrolet, Porsche and Lexus on the high-dollar sales list. The average transaction price of a GMC in Denali trim last year was $56,000; it's easy to see why, when one dealer told the NYT he just swapped a 2012 BMW 550i for a $71,000 GMC Sierra Denali. That truck starts at $52,900. The NYT started its story with a buyer who took home a Ford Raptor instead of an Audi A6, and optioned that $50,020 Ford Raptor close to $80,000. Over at Lincoln, the new $72,055 Navigator — the one so popular that Ford will increase production — crossed hands for an average sale price of $77,000 in January. And a Jeep dealer told the NYT that the two $93,000 Trackhawks he had on his lot "won't be here more than a few weeks." While trucks head up in sales volume and price, cars are headed so viciously in the opposite direction that "the Detroit Three and even some foreign manufacturers acknowledge they are now losing money on many of the cars they sell." So ... get ready for a lot more crossovers and trucks. Related Video: Find out what vehicle is right for you. Give our Car Finder tool a try.
