2002 Ford F250 Super Duty Super Cab 4wd With 5th Wheel Hitch on 2040-cars

Year:2002 Mileage:116310
Location:

Naples, Florida, United States

Naples, Florida, United States

Up for sale is my 2002 Ford F250 Super Duty Super Cab 4wd stick shift.
Very strong engine and great 6 speed manual transmission! Only 116K on the engine!
The body is a bit rusty on the bottom (doors, cab corners, bed, wheel arches) but the frame is solid.

It comes with a 15K Pro Reese 5th wheel hitch!!!
I towed my 35' long Dutchmen 5th wheeler (12K+ loaded!!) all the way from Connecticut to Florida with no issues at all! This truck is a workhorse and it never left me on the road.

It could use some body work and a paint job but if you don't care about esthetics you can start 5th wheeling with this bad boy tomorrow.
The 4wd works but the front end becomes noisy when it's on so I don't recommend using the front end until you replace the faulty U-joint or whatever it is. I didn't have time to diagnose it yet.
AC works, it's coldish but not ice cold so it might need a recharge.
Engine starts from a push button.

I installed many new parts the past 2 or so years since I own it.
- new brakes - on all 4 wheels - rotors, calipers, pads
- 4 new shocks
- new starter motor
- new exhaust pipe and muffler
- new left exhaust manifold
- various new hoses for AC, breaks and power steering
- new coils replaced 3 the other 5 comes with the truck as I don't have proper tools to get them all out.
- new blower motor

The truck had 106K on it when I bought it and now it has 116K so I only put about 10K on it!
No smoke or leaks, the engine runs very nice. No check engine light.
Fresh oil + filter.
Full size spare wheel with tire.

FYI the blue book value of this truck in FAIR condition is $7600!!!
I'm letting it go for a lot less because of the banged up body and the few other issues that needs work.
The 5th wheel hitch + harness with installation alone is $1000!! It also has a regular hitch with a 1 7/8 ball.

Truck is located on my farm, 17 miles east from I75 off Immokalee Rd.
Clean title (CT), registration is expired so I can't drive it anywhere. Pick up only with cash.
I'm also interested in trading it for a mid size (preferably diesel) dump truck, Ford F600/F700 or something similar up to 26K GVWR. I might even take a dually F350 dump, but nothing below 1 ton. 1985 and up.

Thanks for looking!

***Before you bid I strongly recommend to check out the truck first. The pictures don't show all the details. Send me a message for an appointment.***
***The body is pretty banged up, it has lots of scratches and dents, also rust on the bottom***
***The truck is listed locally too so I reserve the right to end the eBay listing early if it sells locally first. I won't ship or deliver the truck***

***Car is being sold AS-IS;there are no warranties or guarantees expressed, implied, or otherwise. This is a private party sale which means if you buy it,you own it***

Ford C-Max Commercial Brings Cadillac 'Poolside' Ad Down To Earth

Thu, Mar 27 2014

If we had tried to predict the first video response to the controversial Poolside video for the Cadillac ELR, we would not have thought it would center on compost. But, hey, it's always nice to be reminded that the real world is sometimes better than fiction. Instead of the chic swagger of 'Poolside,' 'Anything Is Possible' is all about getting dirty. The new short in question is called Upside: Anything Is Possible and it promotes two things: Detroit Dirt and the Ford C-Max Energi. As in the ELR ad, Ford's plug-in C-Max only makes an appearance at the tail end of the spot, but instead of the chic swagger of Poolside, Anything Is Possible is all about getting dirty. The ad stars Pashon Murray, co-founder of Detroit Dirt, which takes natural waste from around Detroit, composts it into soil and then spreads that around "forgotten parcels" of Detroit to create urban farms. Detroit Dirt gets its bio-waste from a lot of sources, including the Detroit Zoological Society (all that herbivore manure has to go somewhere), Ford and General Motors, but this particular ad was the idea of Ford's PR agency, Team Detroit. It was a frenetic shoot, filmed with an LA-based director right after a big winter storm blew through Detroit, and Murray couldn't be happier with the result. "This was Ford Motor Company pushing my story, letting me tell the story that I believe in," Murray tells AutoblogGreen. "I get to help push this car and I get to tell my story." She says that the Team Detroit and Ford had to agree on the message, "from my understanding, [YouTube] is where they wanted to start, not where they wanted to finish." The ad is already getting a positive response on Twitter, so we won't be surprised if it shows up in more places soon. "It's not saying Ford is better than GM. It's telling the story of a black woman who's working hard in Detroit." As Detroit Dirt has off-screen support from both GM and Ford, it's unsurprising to hear Murray say that the video "is not a rivalry thing." She notes that the ad agency Team Detroit came to her and offered to tell the Detroit Dirt story using the framework of the GM ad. "It's a parody on this commercial, but it's not saying Ford is better than GM," she said. "It's telling the story of a black woman who's working hard in Detroit." What is that story? It's about urban farming, recovery and recycling. Murray tells us that for the last seven or eight years, she's been dedicated to sustainability.

Ford Transit customs ready to work for SEMA

Fri, 31 Oct 2014

Ford's booth at the SEMA Show this year looks to have two, big themes. The Blue Oval is bringing over a dozen takes on the 2015 Mustang to the event, and it's now also announcing five customized versions on the 2015 Transit to join the modded pony cars. Each of the vans shows off a different use for the spacious commercial vehicle, from plush luxury to offroad ruggedness.
You probably don't think of the Transit as hitting the trails, but that's just what the take on the design from the Vegas Off-Road Experience (pictured above) is for. The company gives people the opportunity to drive a desert race truck, and this custom is meant to drive them to events. It should be able to take on the terrain a little better with off-road wheels and tires and fender flares, but inside passengers get serious luxury thanks to a 60-inch LED TV and video game systems.
Alternatively the blazing red Designed Travel Transit (right) is all about long road trips. The interior features four captain's chairs with heating, cooling and massage functions, and there's a 4K 50-inch TV to watch. For a touch of added class, the floor is made from hickory.

Recharge Wrap-up: Ford announces e-bike project, Honda Accord Hybrid availability catches up

Thu, Mar 5 2015

Supplies of the Honda Accord Hybrid have apparently caught up with demand. Honda originally launched the Accord Hybrid for the 2014 model year, but lack of availability plagued interested customers and eager dealers alike. Honda cited "component supply constraints" - likely batteries, electric motors and the like - for the lack of available vehicles. Now, "The supply of Accord Hybrids in general is in line with the supply of the regular Accord sedan," according to Honda's Angie Nucci. Read more at Green Car Reports. Apple is seeking a resolution to a lawsuit accusing the company of poaching employees from lithium-ion battery maker A123 Systems. A123 has requested a court order stopping a former employer from breaking an employment agreement, as well as keeping Apple from encouraging the person to do so. Apple has requested more time to respond to that court order. A123 has also filed a suit accusing five employees of breaking nondisclosure agreements and going or trying to go to work for Apple. Insiders say that Apple is developing an electric car that could go into production as early as 2020. Read more at Automotive News. South Dakota's Ethanol Infrastructure Incentive Program is helping retailers fund ethanol storage. The state government has set aside $300,000 as part of the program to fund ethanol storage tanks at gas stations. The program, which originally set out to reimburse retailers for building ethanol flex-pumps, is now helping them expand their ethanol capacities. Retailers can apply for funds for pumps and storage through June 30. Read more at Argus Leader. Ford is expanding its Global Mobility Plan with the Handle on Mobility electric bike experiment. The foldable MoDe:Me e-bike is for personal use and commuting, while the MoDe:Pro is built for commercial duty, with both powered by a 200-watt motor and 9-amp-hour battery. The bikes use an iPhone app called MoDe:Link, which provides various information and controls important bike functions. Through the app, the bikes offer navigation (with traffic data, available public transportation and charging locations included), with handlebar vibrations letting the rider know when and where to turn and automatically activating turn signals. The bike can sense and alert the rider to other vehicles on the roadway. Pedal assist is based on heart rate, allowing the rider to arrive at their destination comfortably.
