2001 Ford F-250 XLT 7.3L Diesel extended cab 2wd, long bed with leveling kit, 210,xxx miles, power doors, power locks, power driver seat, cruise, tilt, front end, after market prestige alarm, recently rebuilt front end (all new tie rod ends, ball joints pro comp shocks on front and back) 33" tires with around 50% tread left. 90% hwy miles, I am the second owner, my grandfather owned it before I did and it has always been kept up to date with all services. Heavy Duty transmission rebuild around 40,000 miles ago and the cooling issue for this year model was corrected by Texas Performance Transmissions. Pioneer in dash dvd touch screen, 10" memphis sub and custom box, the injectors were replaced around 70,000 miles ago and the truck still runs great, no tears in any of the seats, a/c blows cold and strong and tinted windows. This truck is a daily drive and runs great, however I need a car and have no need for a truck anymore. In addition, truck has a gooseneck hookup, towing package and trailer brakes, yet this was hardly used. The negatives to this truck are cosmetic, the bed has a dent in the rear driver side, the rear bumper has a few dents and the front bumper has a few dents, tailgate has some chips and dents, the driver side needs to be re-keyed (about $200 it still locks and unlocks presently) but other than the certain cosmetics, usual scuffs from being a daily driver and the door lock, the truck is in good condition and the interior is in excellent condition for the year. I still have the rear seat where the subwoofer sits, it can be reinstalled in 10 minutes. Clear title in hand and ready to go! This truck has never been in snow or out of Texas, nor in saltwater and is rust-free. Truck has NO RESERVE but it is listed locally and does have a buy it now option. I reserve the right to end the auction early. Thank You

Ford Shelby GT350 Mustang is a lean, mean, Z/28-fighting machine [w/video]
Mon, 17 Nov 2014If there's one thing you can count on, it's that the renewed rivalry between the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro will never, ever cease. For every version of Ford's pony car, there's an equally potent Chevrolet. And so with the debut of the Camaro Z/28 earlier this year, Ford has responded with a track-focused 'Stang of its own, resurrecting the Shelby GT350 name.
It looks to be a fine piece of work, this Mustang, with power coming from a naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V8 that will produce "more than 500 horsepower" and "above 400" pound-feet of torque. That grunt runs to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission, and a Torsen limited-slip differential keeps everything in line.
But that's hardly the most impressive piece of the GT350 puzzle. Ford has increased the Mustang GT's chassis stiffness for duty here in the Shelby, and the coupe employs MagneRide damping which automatically adjusts based on road conditions and driver inputs. It's a first both for the Blue Oval and for the segment. And speaking of firsts, the GT350 uses a flat-plane crankshaft - something Ford has never included in a production V8 before.

NHTSA opens investigation into Ford Explorer PI brakes
Wed, 27 Aug 2014This year more than most, it's pleasant when we can string together a few days without word of an automaker or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announcing a bunch of new recalls. It's seemingly been a little quiet on this front lately (barring a spider-related Suzuki issue revealed early today), but now we have word of the government safety agency opening a Preliminary Evaluation into the 2013 Ford Explorer Police Interceptor, a probe that could potentially affect an estimated 20,000 vehicles.
The issue being investigated concerns failures of the front brake hose on the vehicle that show "small splits in the hoses near the body side ferrule of the hose assembly," according to the agency, and the issue could result in longer stopping distances. The feds have reports of 13 malfunctions affecting 11 Explorer units. However, it's important to note that all of the incidents come from a single, unnamed metropolitan police fleet that operates 46 of them. According to The Detroit News, the failures generally took place between December and July.
NHTSA is investigating further to find if this is a more widespread issue than just this one fleet. Ford spokesperson Kelli Felker confirmed to us, "We are cooperating with NHTSA on this investigation, as we always do." Scroll down to read the agency's report.
