this is a 2005 ford f250 super cab short bed with the Lariat package.  it has the 6.0 powerstroke diesel engine, 4wd, and an automatic transmission.  some options include: pwr windows, locks, mirrors, seat, built in factory brake controller and pwr rear sliding window.  the wheels are 20" ford factory, with nitto terra grappler 275/65/20 tires that have approx. 60% tread left. there are chrome step bars, rhino liner in the bed and a receiver hitch. the interior of this truck is in great shape and very clean with no bad odors.  the drivers seat has a wear spot about the size of a nickel and the steering wheel cover is torn.  the exterior is in wonderful condition except of a few rock chips, a dent in the tailgate and a ding in the front bumper(see pic).

this truck runs exceptionally well with no issues. there is a receipt in the glove box(see pic) for some service work done about 30,000. miles ago where they did egr delete, oil cooler kit and such to the tune of  $3900.00.  there is a abs light on but the brakes work just fine.  the winning bidder will have no disappointments with this truck.

the auto check history report is as good as it gets. do not spend your money to see it, I have included a picture of it. it shows no accidents reported and 3 owners, one of which is us, so its really had 2 owners.  this is a really good truck. the winning bidder will receive the full copy of the auto check report, the original window sticker($44,295.00), original books and the receipt for the service work previously mentioned.

I do have this truck for sale locally and reserve the right to end the auction early if I get a good enough offer.

PLEASE HAVE YOUR FINANCES ARRANGED PRIOR TO THE CLOSE OF THE AUCTION

Preserving automotive history costs big bucks

Wed, 29 Jan 2014

$1.8 million is spent each year to maintain GM's fleet of 600 production and concept cars.
When at least two of the Detroit Three were on the verge of death a few years back, one of the tough questions that was asked of Ford, General Motors and Chrysler execs - outside of why execs were still taking private planes to meetings - was why each company maintained huge archives of old production and concept vehicles. GM, for example, had an 1,100-vehicle collection when talk of a federal bailout began.

eBay Find of the Day: 1987 Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe is showroom fresh

Tue, 27 Aug 2013

There's an ultra-rare Ford Thunderbird for sale on eBay, although it's not quite the T-Bird you're probably thinking. This is a 1987 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe, complete with a five-speed manual transmission and just a shade over 13,000 miles on the clock. The condition is said to be mint, and judging by the interior and exterior pictures, we're inclined to believe the seller. The paint is glossy and the interior looks showroom new, while the underbody is stunningly clean for a 36-year-old car.
Underhood sits a 2.3-liter, intercooled and turbocharged four-cylinder (also found in the Mustang SVO) that was producing 190 horsepower when it left the factory. Inside, the five-speed manual transmission adds to the car's rarity. The vehicle's sole owner has been as immaculate with the paperwork as he has with the rest of the car - it's all there, including brochures and other product material.
The eBay auction ends tomorrow at midnight (9:00 PM if you're on America's west coast). Bidding has reached $10,200, and there's still plenty of time to get in on this future classic. The vehicle is located in Millstone Township, NJ.

Ford nets $5.7B in 2012, $1.6B in fourth quarter

Tue, 29 Jan 2013

Ford brought in $5.7 billion in net income during 2012, which is around $307 million less than one year prior. Even so, the automaker closed out 2012 with the highest pre-tax profit for a single quarter in nearly 10 years, earning $1.7 billion in the fourth quarter thanks largely to a higher-than-average truck mix in the US. That's a jump of $577 million over 2011. Likewise, that translated into fourth quarter income of $1.6 billion. All told, Ford set a full-year pre-tax profit record in 2012. But that doesn't necessarily mean everything is rosy in the land of the Blue Oval.
Like every other manufacturer, 2012 saw Ford get hammered in the European Union, where a deep economic recession continues to drive down consumer confidence. The automaker lost more than $700 million in Europe, and saw full revenue of $26.6 billion in 2012. That's a decline of $7.2 billion compared to last yea. Ford says the market for new vehicles in Europe has contracted to 13.5 million units, the lowest number in 17 years. You can read the full press release below for more information.
