Hello. You are looking at my 1997 Ford F-250 Powerstroke diesel, extended cab, short bed (2wd) pickup truck. It is an XLT model, loaded up with most all of the available power options in 1997. This truck has had a light under hood fuse box melt down which caused it to be written off by the insurance company. All the wiring damage involved is confined to that fuse box and it is easily replaceable. This pickup is from down deep in the south and it has a very good, 100% solid, rust free body. The doghouse, cab, doors, and the short bed are also rust free and fairly straight. I purchased this truck for the sole purpose of using some of it's parts on a restoration that I'm currently involved in and I'm offering it to you if you need it from here to repair your rusted or wrecked F-series pickup truck. You will receive the truck in it's condition that it is currently in. It is missing it's core support, radiator, condensor, shroud, battery trays, water tanks, batteries, and the front seat. I don't know the actual mileage and I have never heard it run because of that wiring issue. The driveline, itself, is 100% complete. It appears to have a newer or possibly rebuilt, transmission in it from all outward appearances. The front bumper, lights, brackets and a decent deluxe brush guard are in the bed of the truck and those item's, as mentioned, all are included in the truck's sale. The truck is not perfect, nor is it clean, inside or out. It has problems, but it also has promise and it has a lot of good, high dollar, rust free parts on it. It is a great rebuilder, or just use it for whatever. It's not expensive by any means, so bid on it if you'd like too. Feel free to come see it if you're close, or if you have any question's, just ask away, or give me a call. I treat folk's nice and I'd love to hear from you. Personal delivery to your area is an option that we can discuss. Again, this is a well used parts donor or a great rebuilder if you need one. It's not new or pretty and I hope that you see it for what it is. If the truck sells, I'd like it to be paid for and picked up within 14 business days. Thank's for looking and God bless each of you. Here is my number if you need immediate assistance. 1-859-553-6538.

Ford Australia pulls the ol' talking car prank
Mon, 07 Apr 2014Siri from Apple has proven that being able to talk to your technology doesn't always work perfectly. But what if it could eventually go far enough to give a personality to inanimate objects like our cars? Ford took just this path to comedic effect by playing a prank on many unsuspecting Australians, in a new commercial for its EcoSport compact crossover.
The Aussies seem very nonchalant about having a random parked car talk to them, and they seem surprisingly game when it asks them to get in, call a celebrity and tell a joke. (We're guessing there are some hilarious outtakes, too.) Scroll down to watch some folks from Down Under have a conversation with Ford's CUV.
Meet Shelby Mustang GT500 Miller, Iowa's latest hatchet-wielding criminal
Fri, Jul 11 2014Well, we've found the long-lost cousin of yesterday's Bentley-tattooed criminal from Florida. This is Shelby Mustang GT500 Miller. No, seriously. While his name seems just like the sort of thing we'd expect the Sunshine State to produce, he actually hails from Iowa. Despite coming from the Hawkeye State, Miller was arrested for a decidedly Floridian offense – getting in a bar fight and then returning with a hatchet. The only way this story could be more Florida is if meth, a manatee or bath salts were involved. The fight, which was at the Cheap Seats Sports Bar, started off typically enough, with a verbal argument in the parking lot (please, please let his nemesis be named "Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 Smith"). This, naturally, attracted passing police officers. Things were broken up and some friends took Miller to his home, which was apparently just behind the bar. That's when he returned with the hatchet tucked under his shirt. Miller promptly proceeded to take out the implement of destruction in the bar's bathroom and... forget about it entirely. Fortunately, the police hadn't left the area yet. Not surprisingly, Miller was arrested for a parole violation, as well as public intoxication and going armed with intent. Still, cool name, bro. Leno talks racing with NASCAR racer Joey Logano
Wed, 02 Jul 2014Jay Leno has to be under significant pressure knowing the appetite his fans have for a new Jay Leno's Garage video every week. This time, Jay takes a break from his usual format (something he's been doing with some frequency as of late) and goes back to his roots as a talk show host. There's no classic in the garage his episode with an interesting story to tell and a sumptuous exhaust note. Instead, the focus is purely on interviewing 23-year-old NASCAR racer Joey Logano about what it's like to be a racecar driver in his Ford Fusion.
Logano started racing at the tender age of six and has risen up the circle-track ranks to the big show of the NASCAR Sprint Cup. The two of them talk about what it's like to compete in the sport today compared to yesteryear, and Logano shares some racing anecdotes. Of course, they also get into what it's like to be on the racetrack controlling a car with about 850 horsepower, a four-speed manual transmission and brakes without any power boost. Scroll down to watch the video.
