1989 Ford F-250 Xlt Lariat Standard Cab Pickup 2-door 5.8l on 2040-cars
North East, Maryland, United States
******************************************* Hello, I'm selling my 1989 Ford F250 2wd. this truck is in my opinion in really great shape for it's age. I drive this truck everyday and it starts up every time and runs great. I'm selling it because I've bought a small SUV. I bought this truck off my neighbor about two years ago, he had bought it to haul his trash to the dump but never used it. It sat in his drive for a couple years only started and move every couple months. My neighbor was getting up in years when he bought it, with this being said when he had it titled he said it had over 300k miles on the truck. I've since talked with the owner that had it before him and they stated that the truck was just over 100k miles. To look at the truck I would have to say that the miles that are shown on the truck today would be 100k plus. The truck has a reese hitch and it pulls a trailer w/o any problems. It runs great without burning oil/ no smoke. Trans., is fine no slipping. Tires are good cond. New Starter, new battery, new fuel relay switch, newer exhaust. The interior looks great, even though the seats look worn a little there are no tears or holes. The dash and the roof lining are in great cond. The only place in the interior that I found bad was the drivers door, the arm rest has pulled away from the door plastic. (door shuts fine, and looks good, you just have to be careful when pulling door shut). The carpet is excellent. The outside: The paint is faded in places, and there are dings and little dents. The body is solid except for around the two rear wheel wells. The inside of the 8ft. bed is rust free. Great truck..... Any question please ask... I'm selling this because I have another to take it's place, I'm in no way in any kind of bind, so I'm not going to give this away. This is an "Auction" with a reserve, The truck is also for sale locally for 2k the reserve is less than the local asking price. Best Offer's are considered, if you send me an email otherwise good luck with the auction. The truck is currently tagged on the road. If you would like to test drive it before you buy it, that would be fine. And if you buy it on Ebay and after you get here decide you don't want it that is OK too. But once you leave with the truck there is no refund, you are buying this AS/IS. Again this is a great looking and running truck. ******************************************* Check out our other auctions

Consumer Reports says these are the worst new cars of 2014
Thu, 27 Feb 2014Consumer Reports has announced its annual list of worst vehicles, a cringe-inducing contrast to its list of top vehicles. Ignominiously leading the way in 2014 is Chrysler, which has a staggering seven models listed.
Jeep nearly sweeps the small SUV segment by itself, with its Compass, Patriot and 2.4-liter version of the new Cherokee, while the only midsize sedans listed by CR were the Chrysler 200 and Dodge Avenger. The new Dodge Dart and the Dodge Journey round out CR's condemnation of Chrysler.
Ford is taking heat as well, with the Taurus, Edge and their counterparts from Lincoln all listed as the worst vehicles in their respective segments. Toyota doesn't fare much better, with its Lexus IS, Scion iQ and tC also making the list.
10 automakers shack up in Detroit hotel to talk Takata airbags
Sun, Dec 14 2014Since Takata has decided not to take the lead concerning potential issues with its airbag inflators, the automakers have. Perhaps that's unsurprising, since it's the automakers, not Takata, that will take a beating on the dealership floor if consumers decide its models are a health hazards. The Detroit News reports that Toyota, Honda, General Motors, Ford, Chrysler, Mazda, BMW, Nissan, Mitsubishi and Subaru met in a hotel conference room near the Detroit Metropolitan Airport last week to sort out a way to understand the technical issues involved. So far, faulty airbag inflators have been ruled the cause of five deaths and 50 injuries around the world, but neither Takata nor investigators understands exactly why the inflators are malfunctioning. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration recently asked Takata to issue a national recall, Takata declined, citing a minuscule failure rate and the fact that it's still investigating the issue. Toyota and Honda then made an industry-wide appeal for "a coordinated, comprehensive testing program" that would pinpoint the problem inflators and get them replaced, and that's what the Detroit meeting was about. Numerous issues, however, will make this a long row to hoe: simply getting the parts to replace the nearly 20 million inflators in cars recalled around the world so far - even working with other suppliers - will take a years, but more importantly, no one knows if the replacement inflators currently being installed will suffer the same issue. Answers will hopefully come quickly with Takata, the ten automakers and NHTSA all independently investigating the problem.
Win a car while supporting a charity this holiday season
Thu, Dec 9 2021Autoblog may receive a share from purchases made via links on this page. Pricing and availability are subject to change. No donation or payment necessary to enter or win this sweepstakes. See official rules on Omaze. The leaves have fallen, there is a crispness to the air and there have already been multiple forecasts of snow, which can only mean one thing: We're coming up on Christmas. While you've been busy thinking about what kind of gifts you're going to give your loved ones, we here at Autoblog have been deciding which dream car we'd like to see in our driveway on Christmas morning. A car for Christmas does seem a bit extreme and expensive, but thanks to these Omaze sweepstakes, it doesn't have to break the bank. Here are the current sweepstakes we'd like to win this holiday season. Win a DeLorean DMC-12 - Enter at Omaze James Riswick, West Coast Editor: Let me be clear, the DeLorean is a pretty terrible car. Its speedometer doesn't even go up to the fabled 88 mph. Seriously, look at the pictures: tops out at 85. Also, who services a DeLorean? And how much would it cost to maintain one? $AlloftheMoney or just $MostoftheMoney? So owning it could be a total headache, but at least by winning one through Omaze, you'd be relieved of the financial burden of buying one in the first place. You'd also get the chance to own one of the most iconic cars of all time, one that transcends car enthusiasm and is instantly recognizable by everyone as the "Back to the Future" car. Plus, "everyone" doesn't know that the DeLorean was actually a pretty terrible car. So, I already own James Bond's car from 1995, why not Doc Brown's from 1985? Win a 2021 Bentley Bentayga V8 - Enter at Omaze Eddie Sabatini, Production Manager: Why am I choosing a +$200K Bentley SUV? Because even if I could afford one I'd never be able to wrap my head around spending money on one. So why not try to win one by donating what I can afford to a good cause? I first saw the Bentley Bentayga up close and personal at the Frankfurt Motor Show (I forget which year but I'll never forget this SUV). And although it looks like the Bentayga Omaze is offering up doesn't have the opulent tailgate setup I fell in love with when I saw it in Frankfurt, I'd still enter to win. Win a 1968 Mercedes-Benz 280SL Pagoda - Enter at Omaze Byron Hurd, Editor: Few automotive marketing efforts stick out in my head more than the Mercedes-Benz holiday spots and magazine placements.
