Up for Auction is a 1986 F250 4x4 Extended Cab Diesel, I bought this truck with the Intentions of fixing it up, but have decided to head a different direction. What ive done since I bought it, New Injectors, New Glowplugs, New Glow plug Controller, New Glow Plug Relay, New Return Lines. The Tires are Newer, I had Intentions of replacing them with stock sizes and selling the Offroad tires to offset the cost. The Truck currently has a tool box bed on the box, Its seen better days as some of the compartments are rusted out. My plan was to simply rip it off and install a flat bed. The Passenger side window motor gear went bad so I currently have it apart. The Brakes feel soft to me, I just haven't had a chance to tear into them and see what the Issue is. Im currently away from the Truck but if I recall correctly it has roughly 169K (Ill Clarify that next time im out there) on it. The Batteries are Old and they aren't too far away from being replaced, I started it up and drove it around this afternoon, It seemed to shift a little harder than I would have liked, but im also used to my New Ford, It does have a C6 Automatic. Its a Used Truck.. Don't expect to jump in it and head across the country If would like to inspect it, Simply send me a message with a contact number and we can make arrangments. The Truck is Located in Mexico, Mo 65265. Ill also be including a box full of Filters and What Not. It has some Rust in the Extended cab corners, some Paint Peeling etc.. Ive tried to list all the details that I can think of, Its Sold AS-IS., As I stated earlier it will need some work to make a reliable daily Truck IMO.

Watch Tanner Foust hustle the Fiesta ST 'round the 'Ring
Mon, 15 Jul 2013The last time we saw Tanner Foust at the Nürburgring he was sloshing an SVT Raptor from kerb to kerb. Sticking with Ford but swapping keys, this time the drift champion and Top Gear USA host goes to the opposite end of the manufacturer's tuner garage and plucks a Fiesta ST for 'Ring duty.
The 179-horsepower front-wheel-driver acquits itself well by the end of the video. But be warned, Foust doesn't set a 'Ring time and it's shot like a commercial... because that's what it is. Still, you can enjoy all two minutes and 31 seconds of it below.
Poor headlights cause 40 cars to miss IIHS Top Safety Pick rating
Mon, Aug 6 2018Over the past few months, we've noticed a number of cars and SUVs that have come incredibly close to earning one of the IIHS's highest accolades, the Top Safety Pick rating. They have great crash test scores and solid automatic emergency braking and forward collision warning systems. What trips them up is headlights. That got us wondering, how many vehicles are there that are coming up short because they don't have headlights that meet the organization's criteria for an "Acceptable" or "Good" rating. This is a revision made after 2017, a year in which headlights weren't factored in for this specific award. This is also why why some vehicles, such as the Ford F-150, might have had the award last year, but have lost it for this year. We reached out to someone at IIHS to find out. He responded with the following car models. Depending on how you count, a whopping 40 models crash well enough to receive the rating, but don't get it because their headlights are either "Poor" or "Marginal." We say depending on how you count because the IIHS actual counts truck body styles differently, and the Infiniti Q70 is a special case. Apparently the version of the Q70 that has good headlights doesn't have adequate forward collision prevention technology. And the one that has good forward collision tech doesn't have good enough headlights. We've provided the entire list of vehicles below in alphabetical order. Interestingly, it seems the Volkswagen Group is having the most difficulty providing good headlights with its otherwise safe cars. It had the most models on the list at 9 split between Audi and Volkswagen. GM is next in line with 7 models. It is worth noting again that though these vehicles have subpar headlights and don't quite earn Top Safety Pick awards, that doesn't mean they're unsafe. They all score well enough in crash testing and forward collision prevention that they would get the coveted award if the lights were better.
Ford Mustang GT Bi-Fuel CNG
Tue, 23 Jul 2013Highly intrigued, we recently visited a Southern California Gas Company office to check out several hybrid vehicles promising something new. Unlike more commonplace gasoline-electric hybrids, we were there to evaluate innovative gasoline-compressed natural gas (CNG) hybrids - yes, they run on unleaded gasoline and compressed natural gas. According to the experts on hand, this arrangement delivers extended range and reduced emissions while chipping in with lower operating costs than pure-gasoline vehicles. There are advantages over its gasoline-electric counterparts, as well.
The program is part of a three-way collaboration between The Carlab, a Southern California-based automotive consulting firm, Landi Renzo USA, a company specializing in alternative fuel solutions, and America's Natural Gas Alliance, a group that promotes CNG. Long story short, the team has engineered a way to allow a modified internal combustion vehicle to seamlessly switch between two fuels (gasoline and CNG) with no driver intervention. In theory, and if it works as well as promised, it's a win-win for the vehicle owner and the environment.
Parked at the Gas Company office were six different gasoline-CNG hybrid vehicles. To demonstrate the technology's versatility (just about any gasoline vehicle may be modified) Carlab brought a varied assortment of bodystyles, each from a different automaker. After taking a quick glance at the half-dozen in the parking lot, we made a beeline for the performance-oriented Ford Mustang GT - a 2012 model - with the six-speed manual gearbox.
