1969 Ford F-250 Camper Special Pickup Truck With Goldline Camper. Maintained!!! on 2040-cars
Garden Valley, Idaho, United States
This auction is for a 1969 Ford F250 Camper Special with original Goldline Camper as sold in the 1960s as a package! How awesome is that.
I will try and be as thorough as I can and matter of fact. Please, if you have any questions whatsoever, please ask. If you want to see additional photo's, no problem! I inherited this truck and what a truck it is. All I can say is the gentleman took care of this truck! I am not certain that he washed it much, but look how it buffed out on the left rear bed panel! That took about an hour and amazed the heck out of me. Why did they stop using that great paint? 45 year old shine. The engine is sweet. Fires right up and purrs. The odometer reads 200K+. I don't have details but this engine has been gone through. Orange RTV is evident. I put a vacuum gauge on it and it reads a strong 17 with absolutely no shake! It has a Holley carb that I don't thinks came stock... I wish I knew more details, but they do speak for themselves. Everything works like it was designed to do including the original radio! The camper has a cook stove/oven, a furnace, shelves and bed. All of which is baby blue color. The ext of camper has a few dings. That is what was and is so great about those Goldlines though, they are easily maintained! Just fill the ding with some construction foam and fiberglass over! Subzero tight! The truck has almost new Michelin XCX/APT tires. No tailgate because of camper. The camper is off right now. It just makes it easier to work on. Dash is not cracked. Good headliner and visors. Everything is in such a condition that with a bit of TLC, a full restore would not be that difficult for the potential return. Or just use it as is because it works! Original bench seat gone, replaced by two mismatched buckets. His comfort was #1. Cracked windshield. Dual fuel tanks. Newer dual overload springs on rear. I can't think of anything else, until you ask me! I am more than happy. Have fun Ford Truck lovers! Of course it is as is and free local pick up. That being said, I will send a video of engine running, help with arranging shipment... No sweat! Whatever we need to do. I do ask for an immediate nonrefundable payment of $500 a auction close. Balance in full in seven days. Of course you are always protected under EBAY purchasing policies! |

Ford auctioning off F-35-themed 2015 Mustang for charity
Wed, 16 Jul 2014Ford's been a supporter of EAA AirVenture, a huge, annual air show held in Oshkosh, WI, for several years now, with one of its most notable contributions being a modified Ford Mustang, designed to look like one of America's great fighting aircraft. There was an SR-71 Mustang, based on the legendary spy plane, a Red Tails edition, which honored the ground-breaking Tuskegee Airmen of World War II, as well as Blue Angels and Thunderbird Mustangs, based on America's two great military aerial demonstration teams.
Each car is auctioned off, with all proceeds going to the EAA Young Eagles program, which introduces kids to the joy of flight. For the 2014 AirVenture, which runs from July 28 to August 3, the one-off pony car is based on the new-for-2015 Mustang, and America's latest fighting aircraft - the controversial F-35 Lightning II.
The unique Mustang sports titanium paint scheme, with both glossy and matte sections, as well as yellow-and-blue trim and decal elements inspired by CF-1, the first F-35 test plane. A carbon-fiber front splitter and rear diffuser add some visual eye candy, while the interior boasts a set of Recaro seats. Ford also opted to fit unique wheels and a brawnier rear spoiler, to tie everything together.
Ford Explorer is America's new favorite police car
Mon, 24 Mar 2014There is a new vehicle that you should keep an eye out for when you're going a little too fast down the Interstate. Ford's Explorer-based Police Interceptor Utility was the bestselling new law enforcement model in the country last year, and signs show that won't be changing anytime soon.
Ford sold 14,086 Interceptor Utilities in 2013, up 140% from the year before, and 10,897 Interceptor Sedans, up 31%, according to USA Today. Overall, the brand's police sales were up 48 percent, and they were enough to boost the company's law enforcement vehicle market share by 9 points to nearly 50 percent.
The success comes just a few years after it made the decision to finally retire the long-serving Crown Victoria-based cruiser for two more modern vehicles. "We had to reinvent the category," said Chris Terry of Ford Communications to Autoblog. The automaker had to convince police departments that a unibody chassis without a V8 could perform better than a model that had been a law enforcement staple for years.
Cadillac ELR, Nissan Resonance and Ford Atlas win Eyes on Design awards
Fri, 18 Jan 2013This year's annual Eyes on Design awards were presented at the end of press days for the Detroit Auto Show on Tuesday. Given out for the best production and concept car designs that debuted at the show, and voted on by an esteemed panel of actual car designers, this year's award for best production vehicle design went to the 2014 Cadillac ELR. The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette, which was the show favorite among Autoblog editors, apparently did not impress the Eyes on Design judges enough with its all-new vent-festooned design.
The award for best concept design was actually split as a tie among the Nissan Resonance and Ford Atlas concepts. Last year's winners were the 2013 Ford Fusion and the Lexus LF-LC concept.
The Eyes on Design organization also presented a new honor this year called the Catalyst Award to Bob Lutz, former Vice Chairman of General Motors. Lutz is reported to have given a defense of design in his acceptance speech, arguing that advancements in quality across the industry as a whole have made good design a key differentiator for buyers.
