This is a nice 1955 Ford F250 V8 Stake Bed Truck. Better than average condition normally seen, especially in this neck of the woods. Truck is in original condition, has not been redone. Was used as a farm truck for most of it's life. First in Wisconsin, then in Minnesota until about 1977. Originally came with a 239 V8, which put out about 113 HP, but owner in Minnesota ran it out of oil and replaced it with a 59-60 292 V8, which was a nice upgrade because it put out about 193 HP. Engine runs great. Always starts, even in below zero temperatures. Truck has been used at least weekly on short trips to neighbors since I've had it, which is over a year. Prior to that is was stored in a pole shed for about 30 years. Last year it was registered prior to me was 1977. Drives fine. Has four speed manual transmission with granny. Clutch works fine. Has manual steering. Has manual brakes that work, but should be upgraded if to be used on longer trips. Heater and defrost seem to work. All gauges work except fuel and temp. Tires are pretty good. All glass is good, except drivers door window is cracked. Body is not bad. A few rust spots in the corners, but looks good. Frame is also in good shape. Floor is in decent shape. Original mats are still there. Interior isn't bad either. Dash and doors look good. Seat is a little worn on drivers side back. Was stored in pole building most of it's life. Hood is nice. Has the F100 emblems on the hood for some reason unknown to me. Original metal identification plate in glove box. Has 12 volt electrical system. All lights, horn and blinkers work. Has 43320 original miles and odometer does work. Have clear title and is currently registered/licensed. Identification plate says it is a F250 3/4T made in Dallas, Texas, 6900 GVWR, 118" wheel base, 4.86 differential. Would make a fun driver the way it is, or a nice base to start with on a restore. See pictures for best description. Contact me with questions of if more pictures are needed. Will assist in loading. Can be driven on to trailer. Delivery is a possible option depending on distance. Can be discussed with buyer. Accepted offers, over my starting price, is always possible, using the "buy it now" option, as long as no bids have been placed.

2014 Ford Fiesta 1.0L EcoBoost
Fri, 09 May 2014I'll be honest; when Ford first unveiled its 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6, I was skeptical. Past attempts at building turbocharged American cars were almost universally awful, I reasoned, so why would Ford's latest effort be any different? This may seem foolish today, considering the success that the growing EcoBoost range has achieved - particularly the 2.0-liter and 1.6-liter mills. Yet I once again found myself questioning Ford.
It's the makeup of the 1.0-liter, turbocharged three-cylinder slotted into the compact engine bay of this Fiesta that has a way of breeding doubt. Three-cylinder engines remain an extreme rarity in the US. What's more, they earned a less-than-desirable reputation for applications in the 1980s and 1990s, and my trepidation about this latest three-pot as a result.
As I found out, though, history is a poor informant of modern technology. The thrust available in other cars with the EcoBoost badge on the back has not gone missing here; something the International Engine of the Year committee has lauded. That august body named the 1.0-liter Ecoboost the best engine of 2012 and 2013. After a week of driving, it didn't take long for my fear of threes to get turned into something like that line of thinking.
Consumer Reports: Ford Fusion fun but flawed; Mitsubishi i-MiEV slow, chintzy [w/videos]
Wed, 23 Jan 2013Waiting for a Ford compliment from Consumer Reports these days is like waiting for a low-cost new product from Apple. So we weren't really expecting a glowing review of the 2013 Ford Fusion when CR got its hands on the car. The institute's crew bought three different versions of the Fusion (Hybrid, 1.6-liter EcoBoost and a Titanium with the 2.0-liter EcoBoost) to put through its barrage of tests, and while we aren't too surprised by some of the findings, they're still interesting nonetheless.
CR praises the Fusion for its "eye-catching" design and says that the sportier Titanium trim level is the best-handling midsize sedan they've ever tested, but that's about where the good news ends for Ford. The Fusion Hybrid also posted the best-ever fuel economy CR has recorded in a midsize sedan, but the only problem is that their number was 39 miles per gallon combined - far less than Ford's 47 mpg rating for city, highway and combined. As expected, CR also dinged the Fusion for its MyFord Touch, but some of the other gripes about the car include a cramped cabin and poor fit and finish.
Other Ford products tested this time around include the Focus Electric and C-Max Hybrid. Like the Fusion, CR's observed fuel economy of 37 mpg for the C-Max fell well short of Ford's advertised 47-mpg rating, and both cars were criticized for the use of MyFord Touch. CR notes that the Focus Electric's interior is also cramped, with the battery pack taking up a lot of cargo space.
Ford readying three-row Edge for China
Fri, Nov 21 2014The next-generation Ford Edge will be available with quite a growth spurt for its debut in China next year, with newly announced plans also to build and sell a three-row version exclusively in the People's Republic. However, markets outside of there likely won't see the larger model. Ford marketing boss (and future head of Ford of Europe) Jim Farley announced the three-row version of the crossover at the Los Angeles Auto Show, according to Automotive News. To create the extra room, Ford made the Chinese-built variant about 16 inches longer than its two-row counterpart. Farley didn't specify at which of the Blue Oval's plants in the country this model would be assembled. The Explorer and forthcoming Everest already offer three rows from the Ford lineup in China, but the company thinks the market can easily support all of them. According to Farley to Automotive News, the utility segment is up 485 percent in the country since 2008. Customers in the US can still look forward to the two-row Edge hitting dealers early next year. It'll be the first model in the Blue Oval's lineup here to come standard with EcoBoost power.
