2002 - Ford F-150 on 2040-cars
Yorkville, Tennessee, United States
Limited edition Ford F150 Boss edition There were only 500 of these made! This is number 218 5.4L V8 The Boss 5.4 was produced in by L.A. West, an Indiana based conversion company. The truck has a numbered interior plate ( see picture) The truck has a body kit and 20" wheels The color was not a part of Ford's color palette in 2002 when the truck was made. The Boss 5.4 kit was installed on trucks with Ford's 5.4L SOHC V8. This engine is a two-valve per cylinder power plant that produces 260 horsepower at 4500 rpm and 350 pound-feet of torque. This truck has a re-built title. I have had the truck for about a year and a half after purchasing it from a family member. I am not sure of the complete history of the truck, but it runs great and is really fun to drive. I have had no engine issues at all, and I recently replaced the rear brakes and several of the ball joints. The alignment was also done in the last two months. The A/C and heat work great. Also, I recently had the drivers seat reupholstered and had the back bumper cover and side panels re-done after someone rear-ended me (there was only cosmetic damage) The two running boards by the doors have some damage as well. I would love to keep the truck, (I love it) but I am really needing a more practical vehicle for my life style. Email me, text or call 615 four hundred 8759.with any questions or if you would like to schedule a time to see the truck.

Ford increasing Super Duty production by 15 percent
Fri, 31 Jan 2014Ford has announced a hefty $80 million investment in its Kentucky Truck Plant, which is responsible for building the F-250, F-350, F-450 and F-550 versions of the Super Duty pickup. The influx of cash will add 350 jobs to the factory.
The investment is also good for a 15-percent increase in annual production thanks to retooling and other facility upgrades, which equates to an extra 55,000 units of production. Considering that Ford makes even more money off its Super Duty than it does on the hot-selling F-150, this could mean some serious coin to Ford's bottom line.

2014 Ford Fusion order guide reveals new base Hybrid model, equipment changes
Tue, 23 Apr 2013We've gotten our grubby little digits on the dealer order guide for the as-yet-unreleased 2014 Ford Fusion thanks to an anonymous tipster, and while there isn't much that's unexpected, there are some meaningful equipment changes to report after the rakish sedan's first year on the market.
Mechanically, the big news is, of course, the recently confirmed availability of the 1.5-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder paired with a six-speed automatic. The powertrain replaces the 1.6-liter automatic setup of 2013, though if you want a manual transmission, you'll still get the extra .1-liter of displacement.
On the equipment front, there are newly available rear inflatable seatbelts - as seen previously on the Explorer - along with a new heated steering wheel and cooled seat option on Titanium and Titanium Hybrid models (the latter two options will be late availability).
2015 Ford F-150 pricing announced, aluminum-bodied truck up just $395
Mon, 28 Jul 2014The eagerly anticipated Ford F-150 has had its 2015 pricing announced, adding only a small amount to the pickup's total cost, despite its weight-saving aluminum body. The XL and XLT entry level models only see a $395 boost over the heavier, current-generation, 2014 truck.
The XL starts at $26,615 while the XLT rings up at $31,890. The increase for Lariat is up a similarly negligible $895, to $39,880. Going up the ladder, meanwhile, the leather-intensive King Ranch sees the biggest jump of the F-150 family, with prices increasing $3,515, to $49,460. Finally, picking up the top-end Platinum trim will cost an extra $3,055, with prices starting at $52,155.
The higher prices are being blamed not only on the aluminum bodies, which trim up to 700 pounds of body fat, but on increased levels of standard equipment. While we were expecting a price hike, the fact that the 2015 F-150's volume trims - Ford spokesman Mike Levine told Reuters that the XL and XLT alone cover 70 percent of F-150 sales - have had less than a $400 increase is hugely impressive.
