I have for sale a 1995 Ford F-150 Lightning. This is the performance variant of the standard For F-150 pickup. This model has a 5.8L V8 boasting 240 HP. This truck has an automatic transmission.
I purchased this truck to use as a fun/utility vehicle which it has served as faithfully. I am the second owner.
As you can see in the pictures the truck is in amazing shape. It has some very minor rust issues on the rear bumper. Most of the rust was treated and repaired last year. The motor starts up with absolutely no issue and runs very strong. I’ve averaged roughly 15mpg during the time I have owned this vehicle.
The tires have an excellent amount of tread remaining, they were new 2 years ago and I have only put 6000 miles on the truck since purchasing it. I recently refreshed the fluids and performed an oil change including oil and air filters.
This Lightning features the rare factory jump seat option, quite rare from my research as well as the factory work package with includes a tubular bumper and tow package.
The current mileage is 106,0XX.
The truck has a few issues.
1. The driver's side window is slightly out of the track. It goes down just fine but needs a little help to go back up.
2. The driver's side rear view mirror has a crack in it.
3. The temperature gauge pegs red when the truck is running. It is not a problem with the engine it is the actual gauge. Both Bob Thomas Ford and Ace Radiator in Fort Wayne have found this to be the case and I have receipts for the inspections to show this.
4. There are some scratches and chips inside of the bed. I used this truck to haul a few large pieces of furniture and in my haste did not properly pad them.
5. There is a palm sized dent in the hood right above the grill.
6. Small rust repair on the right rear wheel well. Needs to be sanded and buffed.
7. Small amount of paint transfer on left rear wheel well.
8. I do not have the SVT certificate.
9. The trailer hitch wiring socket has some wear and tear on the flip cover. It still functions perfectly.
The good things about it:
1. Unmolested -- the truck is fully stock with no aftermarket parts.
2. Brand new windshield professionally installed by Safelite Autoglass on August 27th, 2012.
3. Non smoking vehicle.
4. The heat and AC work perfectly.
5. I have two sets of keys with remote entry fobs as well as another spare set of keys.
6. Clean Carfax I ran a few months ago.
7. Hitch hardware included.
I think I have supplied sufficient images but if you need a picture of something specific feel free to ask. Mileage may increase slightly for local test drives.

Even Ford executives had issues with MyFord Touch
Fri, Oct 7 2016MyFord Touch is one of the auto industry's more controversial features. The media broadly panned the infotainment system developed with Microsoft for its slow responses and reliance on voice commands to navigate its deep menus. Oh, and Ford executives weren't big fans, either. Newly revealed court documents in a California class-action lawsuit demonstrate the level of venom Ford employees, both big and small, reserved for the Blue Oval's infotainment system. An error caused Bill Ford's navigation system to crash, leaving the family scion stuck on the side of the road in an unfamiliar area. The documents, unearthed by Forbes, detail current CEO Mark Fields' aggravations with MFT, too. A mechanic emailed an image of a cracked infotainment screen on an Edge to one of Ford's top Sync engineers, Kenneth Williams, suggesting "Mark Fields may have been a little aggravated with the system." But Ford and Fields' issues are nothing compared to the woes of the engineers that had to work on MFT. In a collection of emails obtained by Forbes, one engineer called the system "a polished turd," while another simply said, "These poor customers." And after one engineer suggested using a photo of Ford's Oakville Assembly Plant – home of the Edge, Flex, Lincoln MKX, and MKT production – as a background for the system, one of his coworkers said in an email that someone should instead Photoshop the image to read "abandon hope all ye who enter here," the Detroit News reports. Another summed up the problem, saying: "Ford's quality reputation is completely on the line ... another model year with the same crap is not acceptable." MyFord Touch almost single-handedly torpedoed Ford's reputation in widely reported quality metrics, including JD Power and Consumer Reports. Ford responded with a refreshed Sync3, a wildly improved rethink of its infotainment system that is far more responsive and easier to live with every day. Next Ford F-150 delayed for aluminum body panel issues?
Wed, 11 Dec 2013The timetable for next-generation Ford F-150 may be in trouble if a report from The Truth About Cars is true. The next F-150 is slated to make extensive use of weight-saving aluminum in its body, but the aluminum alloy provided by suppliers hasn't met Ford's requirements in the earliest phases of pre-production, according to the report.
The F-150 represents a huge portion of Ford's profits and is the best-selling truck in the US, even in the face of increased pressure from cross-town rivals General Motors and Ram. While the current truck is treading water against its competition, we'd be lying if we said the F-150 weren't growing quite long in the tooth.
If production of the next-generation of the Ford cash cow, said to be based on the Atlas Concept from the 2013 Detroit Auto Show (pictured above), is delayed, it could be bad for Ford. Production at Ford's Dearborn Truck Plant is already set to be delayed six to ten weeks, missing an internal on-sale deadline of Memorial Day.
Sunday Drive: Volvo hits a crossover home run, and people still love sports cars
Sun, Sep 24 2017Looking back at the week that just was clearly tells us at least three things. First, crossovers don't have to be boring. Second, people still love sports cars, from the attainable (Audi TT RS) to the fanciful (Mercedes-AMG GT C). And finally, the traditional German trio of premium luxury brands had better not rest on their laurels, because credible challengers are coming in from every direction. The biggest reveal of the week, at least judging by the interest of Autoblog readers, was the Volvo XC40. Not only is the little 'ute a looker, it introduces some innovative new buying/leasing schemes designed to appeal to an audience accustomed to trading in and trading up every couple of years. Think of Volvo's flat-fee lease as you would a smartphone contract, and you'll be on the right track. Genesis looks to have a hit on its hands in the form of the G70 sport sedan. We took a Korean-spec model for a spin and found a lot to like about the upstart contender. We can't wait to sample one here in the United States to see how it stacks up against the Audi A4, BMW 3 Series, and Mercedes-Benz C-Class. In other news, we're still really excited to see a production Ford Ranger Raptor. But if you just can't wait for the official reveal — it's OK, neither can we — take a look at the renderings in our post down below. As always, tune in to Autoblog next week for a front-row seat to all the happenings worth following in the automotive industry.
