Hello I am selling one of my favorite cars I have ever owned in my life. My 1951 ford f100 pickup. This car has been to countless car shows with me and my sons and everyone comes to talk to me about the car.

VIN Number is F2R1KC28323

This car has had alot of money invested into it to make it what it is today.

I used her for car shows and sunday driving but she would be great for someone who would want a daily driver as well. She starts up everytime with no hesitation. Even after sitting a couple weeks she starts no problem. The Engine is a very reliable 350 Small block which is attached to a 4 speed cast iron truck transmission. I actually start the car in 2nd gear everytime because 1st gear has way too much torque. A really fun and fast car to drive. But driving down the highway at 60 mph I use one hand on the steering wheel because it drives so smooth.

This car has all the features of modern day cars. It has power steering, disk brakes, cd/dvd player, heater, hydraulic bed lift, led taillights and a very very nice bed cover.

All lights highbeams drls headlights turn signals brake lights work perfect.

Clutch and trans work flawless shift very smooth and very easy. Engine as stated before runs extremley strong.

Wheels are like new condition and match the car very well. Tires have about 70 percent tread all around left.

THERE IS ABSOLUTLEY NO RUST ON THE CAR AT ALL. This car has been stored in a heated garage and never seen rain or snow since I have owned it.

The paint is a very beutiful color and it shines very well as you can see. But it has a couple very minor flaws.

The interior is very clean and well taken care of. Power steering allows for easy turning of the wheel. The seats are very very comfortable. Floor mounted shifter is really ergonomic.

Truck bed has a very nice cover. Not some cheaply made bed cover. The bed goes up and down with a press of a button although I disconnected it because it was draining the battery after a couple of weeks without starting her. I would put it up in car shows and it would turn heads.

It has an eddelbrock carburator which cost over 300 dollars to give it a nice performance boost.

Car has great sound and purrs like a v8 should.

Disk brakes stop on a dime.

This is a steal for the amount of truck your getting for the money. You wont find a better one for anywhere near this price. I need the space so Im looking to sell it. With summer around the corner this is the perfect time to buy.

Call me or message me for more information at 847 414 3709 My name is jack.

Thank you!

Ford jumps back in the water with marinized 6.2L V8

Wed, 06 Nov 2013

Nameplates like the Mercury Mariner and Lincoln Navigator aside, Ford hasn't offered a marine engine in over two decades. But through a new partnership with one of the biggest names in the business, the Dearborn-based automaker is dipping its proverbial toes back in the water.
Announced yesterday at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, the new partnership between Ford Component Sales and Indmar Marine Engines will see the 6.2-liter V8 from the F-150 SVT Raptor and F-Series Super Duty marinized for use in boats.
The largest privately owned inboard gasoline marine engine manufacturer in the world, Indmar has been in the business for 43 years, and figures the Ford V8 will be just what watersport enthusiasts are looking for to tow waterskiers and wakeboarders to their hearts' content.

Ford nets $5.7B in 2012, $1.6B in fourth quarter

Tue, 29 Jan 2013

Ford brought in $5.7 billion in net income during 2012, which is around $307 million less than one year prior. Even so, the automaker closed out 2012 with the highest pre-tax profit for a single quarter in nearly 10 years, earning $1.7 billion in the fourth quarter thanks largely to a higher-than-average truck mix in the US. That's a jump of $577 million over 2011. Likewise, that translated into fourth quarter income of $1.6 billion. All told, Ford set a full-year pre-tax profit record in 2012. But that doesn't necessarily mean everything is rosy in the land of the Blue Oval.
Like every other manufacturer, 2012 saw Ford get hammered in the European Union, where a deep economic recession continues to drive down consumer confidence. The automaker lost more than $700 million in Europe, and saw full revenue of $26.6 billion in 2012. That's a decline of $7.2 billion compared to last yea. Ford says the market for new vehicles in Europe has contracted to 13.5 million units, the lowest number in 17 years. You can read the full press release below for more information.

Leno drives Henry Ford II's all-original '52 Ferrari 212 Barchetta

Tue, 17 Jun 2014

The story of the relationship between Henry Ford II and Enzo Ferrari is absolutely fascinating. The two great men of the auto industry had what appeared to be a burgeoning friendship until Ferrari pulled out of a deal to sell his company to Ford in the '60s. The latest car featured in Jay Leno's Garage is a 1952 Ferrari 212 Barchetta that tells the very beginnings of that story.
This Prancing Horse was a gift to Ford from Enzo when the two companies were first thinking about merging, according to the curator of the Petersen Automotive Museum. Ferrari really wanted to show off its best so instead of the 212's normal V12, this car was fitted with the larger 2.7-liter unit from a Ferrari 225. The car has been almost unaltered since then. It still wears its original paint, and it's tires date back to 1954.
The great thing about the Petersen is that unlike a lot of auto museums, the people there actually drive the cars and keep them in working order. Once on the road with Leno behind the wheel, this Ferrari really sings. Unfortunately, he can't open it up too much because the 60-year-old tires really hold things back. Scroll down to watch this amazing piece of automotive history and learn it's possible effect on the styling of the original Ford Thunderbird.
