This is my 1964 F100 short-bed truck. I have had it for about 6 years now and I am ready for something new. If you have a muscle car from 1965-74, I am open to a trade. I had all the work done on this truck by the guy who sold it to me. I have never had any problems with it. The 302 in the truck is from 1985. Chrome front and back bumpers. Newer tires with less than 6,000 miles on them. Truck is rust free. It has a newer Edelbrock 550 4-barrel carb on it that makes this beast run really nice. I had it tuned by my mechanic and he did a wonderful job. The truck has power brakes that work really really well and I can stop on a dime. When I bought the truck 6 years ago I had the rack and pinion power steering installed. It was a kit from a company called No-Limit engineering, via nolimit.net, out of San Berdoo, California. I dealt with the gentleman who machined the parts myself and every time I get the oil changed the mechanic who does the service compliments me on how nice the front end is on the truck. The power steering package alone was right around $800 before installation costs. It also has a brand new Reese hitch that tows very nicely. I have replaced the plugs and wires, distributor cap and rotor, transmission pan gasket, the transmission fluid, voltage regulator, fuel filters, fuel pump, gas cap, valve cover gaskets, chrome valve covers, air filter, radiator hoses, it gets regular oil changes, and the horn is new. It now has an "ah-oogah" horn.
This truck has served me well. If I were to keep it, I would get a new paint job. You can see in the pictures that it has some peeling at the gas tank. That's because the old gas cap leaked out gas when I had the truck parked on a hill overnight and the gas ate through the paint. I replaced the gas cap and the problem was solved. That happened 3 months after I got the truck. The paint has not peeled any further and when I wash the truck there isn't any more paint that peels away. The spot that lost paint has been that big since the day the gas leaked out. I have driven this truck from St. Louis, Missouri to downtown Houston, Texas and back without any problems three times. I was going to school in Texas and coming home for the summer over the last 5 years. This truck made the trip three times and handled Houston city driving every time. I also have a Harley 883 Iron, this truck pulled my bike across the country with no problem and I would not have any worries about doing it again.
All in all I would say this truck is a solid driver that has some minor cosmetic flaws. There is a small ding on the driver's side door just back from the side mirror from a rock. There is a ding in the bed of the truck up by the cab's rear window glass. Other than that though, there are not any dings on the truck. When/if you decided to paint this truck, these small dings would not amount to much if anything in prep work for a new paintjob. This truck is not perfect though. It is a driver quality truck that will get you noticed. If you like every car fan and his brother coming over and chatting you up about your truck each time you stop for gas, food, or anything else, then this is the truck for you.
I will eventually provide a phone number, but I didn't get around to getting one today, so until then if you have any questions, contact me through Ebay. I check this regularly and I would be more than happy to answer any of your questions or concerns.

2013 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor Supercrew
Fri, 15 Mar 2013I'm not normally a pickup kind of guy, but the 2013 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor won me over nearly instantly. The street-legal trophy truck - there is really no other way to accurately describe it - is big, brawny and incredibly capable. Let's just say it's every bit the monster it visually portrays. I spent a week pretending I was one of Ford's Baja 1000 drivers, but lacking desert sand, I headed into the local mountains where a mild winter storm had dropped a couple inches of fresh snow on my favorite off-road park. The Ford was, for the most part, practically unstoppable.
Ford offers its SVT Raptor package on Supercab and Supercrew platforms with the five-foot, five-inch bed. The Supercrew I tested rides on a 144-inch wheelbase (about a foot longer than the Supercab). In addition to its cosmetic differences when compared to the standard F-150 - there isn't a young boy on the planet who doesn't think the matte black Ford grille is cool - the Raptor has a 73.6-inch track - nearly seven inches wider than the track on the standard F-150.
After upgrading the F-150 SVT Raptor significantly for the 2012 model year, there are only a few changes for 2013. The list includes standard high-intensity discharge (HID) headlamps, Hill Descent Control, forged beadlock-capable wheels, and the new matte Terrain color (aka "Desert Storm") option seen on my test model.

Autoblog Podcast #317:
Ford forced to recall Escape over fire risk yet again
Tue, 26 Nov 2013Recalls happen. Automakers hope they won't, but they do. And that's alright, for the most part, because cars are designed (and to a large degree still made) by humans, and humans make mistakes. So we forgive them, as long as the problem is resolved. Only in the case of the Ford Escape, the problem seems to keep coming back.
That's why Ford is calling in the Escape yet again due to fire concerns. The issue revolves around problematic fuel lines in 9,469 units manufactured between October 5, 2011, and July 11, 2012, all of which use the 1.6-liter EcoBoost inline four-cylinder engine.
As you yourself may recall, the Escape was subject to a string of recalls last year that resulted in a $17 million fine. One of them was over this very same issue, which Ford apparently didn't rectify the first time around. Let's hope this time is the last time.
