here is my 1972 ford f100 that started out as a two wheel drive truck,i had bought it from someone 10 yrs ago who mounted on a 76 high boy frame...I then built it up from there...I had boxed the front frame and add power steering box from a 79 f350,also I put in a dana 60 front and back...both rebuilt with 4.56 gears..the back rear has a locker posi in it...the suspension was all redone new skyjacker 6 inch lift...everything is done it drives real straight and tight..there is 39 x 18 super swampers on  16.5x 14 weld typoon rims.I reupholstered the interior with black button tuck...new carpet.,weatherstripping, door channels, locks ext..this truck does not rattle going down the road.the body is in good shape it does have rust but it is not a rust bucket at all and worth fixin  is original paint with a couple of touch ups here and there but not bad for 41 yrs old...a good cleaning and waxing and it the paint shines right back up....as far as the drivetrain..i have put a 1995 12v cummins that is bone stock with 150000,miles on it out of a wrecked truck I got from a customer...i put a fordcummins adapter plate and mounted a c6 automatic in it with a married np205 cast iron transfer case to it...the bad the transmission stop going into gear, sometimes it will sometimes it wont was told it has a pump problem..if I was going to keep it I probably would find another dodge tranni out of a 2 wheel drive and the add a divorced transfer case which I do have to give with buyer...the truck runs awesome.but will not move on its own power cause the tranni will not engage...i put dual batterys in it.too..i just have run out of time ..I have to much going on with my business plus I have to many projects and I kinda have lost my love for it...so I want to sell it instead of watching another yr go by and not use it..please do not low ball me I have a lot of money in it and what im asking is more then fair you could not build it for that...remember I am selling this truck `` As Is `` condition  remember that all sales are final with no warranty. Please do not bid if you do not have the cash on hand as I will not hold it and I offer no shipping. Pick up is sole responsibility of the buyer. feel free to come look at it and hear it run  before bidding, plus feel free to email me with questions...thanks

Carmakers, NHTSA to unveil auto-emergency braking agreement tomorrow

Wed, Mar 16 2016

Happy St. Patrick's Day Eve. Tomorrow, there will be green beer, corned beef and cabbage, and automatic emergency braking for all. Weird combo, we know. But on St. Patty's we can expect an official announcement from a pact of automakers making auto-braking systems standard equipment by 2022. That's per a report from Reuters, which cites three sources familiar with the plans. Originally announced in September 2015 by 10 automakers and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the agreement is expected to be even larger when the details are unveiled tomorrow. According to Reuters, the manufacturers of 99 percent of the US domestic market's vehicles will be represented by the new agreement. It's believed that standard AEB systems could prevent thousands of accidents across the country. Expect more on the official announcement when it's made. Related Video:

Chevy Camaro is a good sport, wishes Ford Mustang Happy 50th

Tue, 15 Apr 2014

It was 1966 when Chevrolet launched its challenger to the wildly successful Ford Mustang, the Camaro. While the competition between the two brands was already healthy, the arrival of the Camaro set off one of the most intense, model-to-model rivalries in the industry.
That competitive spirit hasn't stopped Chevy and the Camaro from wishing Ford's iconic muscle car a Happy 50th Birthday as the Ford's April 17 anniversary rolls around. These two cars have been linked over the years, and while the rivalry took a break for a few years in the 2000s, today's competition between the Camaro and Mustang is as fierce as it's ever been.
You might recall that this friendliness when it comes to major milestones isn't too rare. Ford put on quite a display for General Motors' hundredth anniversary back in 2008. As the Camaro's fiftieth birthday approaches in 2016, we wouldn't be surprised to see the Mustang sending its best wishes to its Bowtie rival.

Ford hiring 2,200 salaried US workers this year

Fri, 11 Jan 2013

With its influx of popular new products made in the US, Ford Motor Company has announced that it intends to hire 2,200 new salaried workers domestically this year. This is the biggest increase of salaried workers for Ford in the last 10 years, and it is all a part of Ford's contract commitment to the United Auto Workers union to bring 12,000 new jobs to the US by 2015.
There were no specifics as to where in the US these job openings will be, but Ford did reiterate that it will be spending $773 million on equipment upgrades and capacity expansion at six plants located in southeast Michigan; as a whole, Ford is investing a total of $6.2 billion to its US assembly plants over the next couple years. According to recently appointed president of the Americas Joe Hinrichs, the new jobs will be focused on areas such as engineering, manufacturing and computer software. Ford will post its job openings online at careers.ford.com, and it will also use social media sites like Facebook and Twitter to recruit new workers, including military veterans.
