1974 RANGER XLT. 64,591 ORIGINAL MILES. SOME RUST ON THE WHEEL WELLS ON THE BOX. VEHICLE WAS WRECKED ON A SNOWY DAY LAST WINTER. IT DAMAGED THE HOOD AND THE GRILLE INSERTS, IT DID NOT DAMAGE THE BUMPER, RADIATOR, OR ANY OTHER PART. THE HOOD IS A USED ORIGINAL WITH A DENT ON THE RIGHT FRONT, WHICH WOULD BE AN EASY REPAIR. THE DOORS ARE SPRUNG DUE TO THE WIND. THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR AND FRONT FENDER WILL REQUIRE SOME BODY WORK AS THE PHOTO SHOWS. THE ENGINE IS A 360, WHICH IS BELIEVED TO BE THE ORIGINAL, BUT WILL FIND OUT FOR SURE, AS I WORK WITH THE GUY I BOUGHT IT FROM. TIRES HAVE ABOUT 1500 MILES ON THEM. THE INTERIOR IS CLOSE TO PERFECT, THE DASH IS CRACKED. THIS RUNS AND DRIVES LIKE NEW. IT HAS AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION I HAD GREAT PLANS FOR RESTORING THIS TO PERFECT, BUT TOO MANY OTHER PROJECTS GOT IN THE WAY. THIS WAS AND STILL IS A DAILY DRIVER. I DRIVE IT ABOUT 2 MILES TO WORK EVERY DAY. AGAIN IT DRIVES AND RUNS PERFECTLY. THIS WOULD A WAY EASY RESTORATION BACK TO PERFECT. MY SON WANTED TO MAKE IT INTO A CONVERTIBLE RAT ROD, BUT I WILL NOT TAKE THIS CONDITION OF VEHICLE AND BUTCHER IT. IT IS A FAIRLY RARE RANGER XLT PACKAGE AND A CAMPER SPECIAL, IT HAS THE STORAGE BOX ON THE PASSENGER SIDE, WHICH IS ONLY ON THE CAMPER SPECIAL. PLEASE LOOK AT THE PHOTOS AND THEN FEEL FREE TO ASK ANY QUESTION. I WILL ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS, EXCEPT ANYONE WHO QUESTIONS THE ORIGINAL MILEAGE. THIS WAS PURCHASED NEW BY MY FRIENDS FATHER, AND SPENT MANY YEARS IN HIS GARAGE. IT WAS STARTED FREQUENTLY AND DRIVEN ABOUT EVERY MONTH TO KEEP EVERYTHING IN WORKING ORDER. THANKS FOR LOOKING AND FEEL FREE TO ASK ANY QUESTIONS. TRUCK IS LOCATED IN CODY, WYOMING. THIS TRUCK CAN BE INSPECTED AND DRIVEN ANY TIME. I CAN BE CONTACTED AT 307-899-0776. WE ARE LOCATED 53 MILES FROM YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK. IF THE BUYER CANNOT PICK IT UP RIGHT AWAY, I WOULD BE GLAD TO HOLD IT FOR A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME. LET ME KNOW. |

We spy the Ford Mustang King Cobra early at SEMA
Tue, 04 Nov 2014As is the case with most auto shows, waiting for the reveal of hot new models is the worst part. So, while our own Drew Phillips has been wandering the halls here in Las Vegas since they unlocked the doors for SEMA 2014, we didn't expect him to come back with any big reveals until later in the day. Until this happened.
Meandering by the Ford stand, Phillips eagle-eyed a trunk lid that caught his attention. Popping out from an otherwise draped 2015 Mustang, the matte black lid clearly has the name King Cobra embossed on the rear.
That name is interesting for a few reasons: to start, Ford hasn't used the Cobra name (without "Jet" attached) since way back in 2004, so a new snake is certainly something to take note of. Second, the King Cobra name dates all the way back to the ill-remembered Mustang II, meaning there is a clear link to Blue Oval history here.
Editors' Picks February 2021 | Ford F-150, Genesis GV80, Mazda CX-30 and more
Wed, Mar 10 2021If we’ve driven and reviewed it, thereÂ’s an Autoblog Rating for it. ItÂ’s been over two years since we launched a new rating system to help you evaluate cars at a glance. We tweaked and improved it along the way and quickly arrived at a consistent process for giving each and every car on sale today a fair score. Cars that are exemplary or stand out in their respective segments get EditorsÂ’ Pick status. Those are the ones weÂ’d recommend to our friends, family and anybody whoÂ’s curious and asks the question. Every car we rate gets a score from 1 to 10, making it easy for you to tell if itÂ’s a car worth pursuing and possibly purchasing. YouÂ’ll find the scores of previously-rated cars attached toward the top of our written reviews. For example, the Bronco SportÂ’s rating can be found here. The Acura TLXÂ’s rating is in this post, and the Nissan RogueÂ’s rating is right here. There are hundreds of examples to be found. The above examples make up the most natural ways to find the Autoblog rating when researching for your next car, but starting today, weÂ’re going to begin calling out each new set of Editors' Picks per month in their own breakout stories. This will put the newest and most recently refreshed cars on sale on a pedestal for you to see which ones are worth your while. WeÂ’ll typically rate anywhere between 5-10 new cars per month, so you can count on just a select few from those to make this list. Expect to see this recurring ratings post each month going forward, and read on for FebruaryÂ’s EditorsÂ’ Picks.  2021 Genesis GV80 2021 Genesis GV80 View 18 Photos Quick take: The stylish GV80 offers useful safety features, compelling design and sporty dynamics to push it near the top of the segment. Genesis takes risks with this aggressive crossover, and the result is a luxurious vehicle that is rewarding to drive. Score: 8.5 What it competes with: Lincoln Aviator, Volvo XC90, BMW X5, Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class, Acura MDX, Lexus RX Pros: Beautiful design, good road manners, awesome value Cons: Small third row and cargo space, less comfortable standard suspension From the editors: Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore — “The GV80 is a hugely important vehicle for Genesis. It makes a style statement, has an elegant interior and is a compelling all-round execution. It looks like a Bentley, and I give Genesis props for taking some risks with the GV80 and largely pulling it all off.
Chip Ganassi Racing switches to the Ford EcoBoost-powered Riley Daytona Prototype
Wed, 06 Nov 2013Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates (CGRFS) announced yesterday at Ford's SEMA press conference that it will field a Ford-Riley Daytona Prototype with the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 in the 2014 United SportsCar Championship (USCC). CGRFS is the second team to commit to the new Ford-Riley car, behind Michael Shank Racing (which has already used the racecar to break a 26-year-old top-speed record at Daytona International Speedway).
"Over the last 10 seasons we have been able to experience a great deal of success in Grand-Am," Chip Ganassi says, "and now with the dawn of the new United SportsCar Championship we feel that Ford power will be a key ingredient to writing the next chapter of our sports car program."
In the last Grand-Am season, CGRFS raced a BMW-Riley Daytona Prototype. The team has won seven Daytona Prototype championships, all in the past ten years. Scott Pruett and Memo Rojas return as the team's prototype co-drivers, and will attend their maiden race in the Ford-Riley at the Rolex 24 at Daytona in January.
