Central Square, New York, United States

Up for bid & NO RESERVE is our 1964 Ford F-100 shop truck.  It's been in many biker events & magazines.   It is a blast to drive and gets looks everywhere.  Gets more action then a 100,000 show car  NOT JOKING !!

SPECS:

-1964 F-100 Short Bed

-Truck has been body dropped about 5"-no suspension mods have been done. It drives like a stock truck still; leave it as is or air bag it and drop  it on the ground!

-351 Cleveland, C-6 Trans, 9" rear

-Edlebrock carb, intake manifold, valve covers

-Unknown headers with flowmasters that dump out before axle...sounds nice

-New timing chain/gears and water pump

-All new brakes in rear including hard lines and soft line. They have also been upgraded to the wider 79ish F-100 bendix style

-New whitewall tires-skinnies in front and fats in the back. Truck has a nice "rubber rake" which gives it a nice stance.

-15" moon eyes glitter steering wheel

-I'M SURE THERE IS MORE THAT I'M FORGETTING. A LOT OF FABRICATION AND TIME HAS GONE INTO THIS TRUCK SO PLEASE BID HARD!    +++++ NO RESERVE AUCTION !!!! LAST BID OWNS IT +++++ CHECK MY FEEDBACK AA++

FLAWS:

-The body is fairly straight and wouldn't take much to spray it if you wanted to go that route

-The truck leaks a little oil and so does the trans pan, I've been driving it everywhere as is, I just make sure the fluids are topped off. If I had time, I would've already fixed it, but I don't (new baby on the way & need a 4 door).

-The wiring under the dash is kind of a rats nest, but everything else has been addressed.

-This is a very strong running great truck, but it's not "perfect." It's a 50 year old rat rod, and that's why I LOVE IT!

- IF YOU WOULD LIKE A ONE OF A KIND TRUCK STOP RIGHT HERE AND BID ! TO VIEW OR ANY ?? CALL (315) 727-7629 OR STOP BY HANDLEBARS & CARS 531 SOUTH MAIN STREET, CENTRAL SQUARE NY 13036 ( 20 MINS FROM SYRACUSE) WE HAVE A TON OF HARLEY DAVIDSON MOTORCYCLES IN STOCK & READY TO SELL !!!

24 Hours of Le Mans live update part two

Sun, Jun 19 2016

We tasked surfing journalist Rory Parker to watch this year's live stream of the 2016 24 Hours of Le Mans. What follows is an experiment to experience the world's greatest endurance race from the perspective of a motorsports novice. Parker lives in Hawaii and can hold his breath longer than he can go without swearing. For Part One, click here. Or you can skip ahead to Part Three here. I write about surfing for a living. If you can call it a living. Basically means I spend my days fucking around and my wife pays for everything. Because she's got a real job that pays well. Brings home the bacon. Very progressive arrangement. Super twenty first century. I run a surf website, beachgrit.com, with two other guys. It's a strange gig. More or less uncensored. Kind of popular. Very good at alienating advertisers. My behavior has cost us a few bucks. I'm terrible at self-censorship. Know there's a line out there, no idea where it lies. I still don't understand any of the technical side. Might as well be astrophysics or something. For contests I do long rambling write ups. They rarely make much sense. Mainly just talk about my life, whatever random thoughts pop into my head. "Can you do something similar for Le Mans?" "Sure, but I know absolutely fuck-all about racing." "That's okay. Just write what you want." "Will do. But you're gonna need to edit my stuff. Probably censor it heavily." So here I am. I spent the last week trying to learn all I can about the sport of endurance racing. But there's only so much you can jam in your head. And I still don't understand any of the technical side. Might as well be astrophysics or something. While I rambled things were happening. Tracy Krohn spun into the gravel on the Forza chicane. #89 is out of the race after an accident I missed. Pegasus racing hit the wall on the Porsche curves. Bashed up front end, in the garage getting fixed. Toyota and Porsche are swapping back and forth in the front three. Ford back in the lead in GTE Pro. #91 Porsche took a stone through the radiator, down two laps. Not good. The wife and I are one of those weird childless couples that spend way too much time caring for the needs of their pet. French bulldog, Mr Eugene Victor Debs. Great little guy. Spent the last four years training him to be obedient and friendly. Nice thing about dogs, when you're sick of dealing with them you can just lock 'em in another room for a few hours. You don't need to worry about paying for college.

2015 Ford C-Max gets a corporate nose job [w/video]

Thu, 02 Oct 2014

Ford might not have the splashiest booth here at the 2014 Paris Motor Show, but the automaker is showing off quite a bit of hardware that will actually end up on roads across Europe. Parisians are no doubt tickled at getting to see the specifications of the Mustang tuned for The Continent (which has a revised suspension for European roads, and a few visual nips and tucks), in addition to the revised face of the family-friendly C-Max.
As you can see, C-Max styling has been revisited with a deft touch, grafting Ford's six-sided corporate grille on the nose, in place of the outgoing car's two-part affair. New headlights can also be found on the car's revised front fascia, though the rear end of the C-Max looks only slightly different than the current version.
Inside the cabin, Ford has consolidated controls and upped the ante in terms of material quality, with "black satin" and chrome details and more storage capacity, overall. Grocery-lugging moms and dads everywhere should appreciate the hands-free liftgate feature, as well.

Crowdsource funding push on to save historic Ford buildings

Thu, 22 Aug 2013

Detroit has no shortage of old, abandoned buildings, both within the city and in the surrounding communities. Few, though, have the historical significance of the old Ford Highland Park facility. Home to the very first moving assembly line, Highland Park was designed by the legendary Albert Kahn, and was one of the homes of the Model T.
Now, the Woodward Avenue Action Association is attempting to buy both the 40,000-square-foot admin building, which is located off the historic Woodward Avenue, and an 8,000-square-foot garage. The WAAA's goal is to convert the buildings into an automotive heritage center. The Detroit News spoke to the interim director of the WAAA, Deborah Schutt, who commented, "[Metro Detroit has] not been very good at telling our own story. So we've decided, let's pull everything together and tell our story."
The WAAA made an offer of $550,000 to buy the two buildings, and has $400,000 from the Michigan Department of Transportation and another $15,000 from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation. It's trying to raise a further $125,000 through crowd-sourcing, starting a campaign called "Five Dollars A Day," after old Hank Ford's $5-per-day wage for line workers.
