SOUTHERN V-8 SHORT BED TRUCK….PERFECT TO MAKE A STREET ROD/CRUISER!!!!

1972 FORD F-100 Custom

SHORT BED

Truck is sold with an Alabama registration and matching bill of sale.

Original 1972 Ford F100 Ranger XLT in good condition. Truck has a 302 2bbl v-8 and 3 speed manual transmission. Engine runs good (cold natured), and transmission shifts good (2nd gear is a little tricky, but shifts good once you find its sweet spot).  Recently installed a new carburetor and points.

Body is in great shape - body panels are straight and fit well, minor surface rust.  Very nice hood !!  Bed is solid with minor surface rust.  Tailgate is in nice shape. Seat cover has a few small holes on driver’s side.

Headlights and blinkers work well.  Heater blows good and radio still works.  Good set of Firestone tires on it.

Truck was built at Michigan plant in July 1972.

This 1979 Ford Truck has a V-8 motor (302 V-8) and 3 speed manual transmission.  The truck came with manual steering and manual brakes.  The undercarriage is in good shape, minor surface rust only.  Drivers fender has a hole in the lower front, near bumper.

This truck is an excellent candidate for a customized truck that needs little body work (floor pan outside edges will need some work) and some minor mechanical work.  Included in the auction is a power steering set up (see photo).

Please ask any questions for more information and if needed, more pictures.  This is a 42 year old truck that has never been restored.  It has very solid original sheet metal.  The paint has faded a good bit, but the truck is very straight and has great gaps.

Surprise! More Ford and Lincoln cars found with marijuana

Thu, Jul 27 2017

Ford is starting to have a serious problem on its hands. Today, ABC 7 in Detroit reported that another batch of Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKZ cars were found packed with 227 pounds of marijuana. This is a little over a week after Fords in Ohio were found stuffed with marijuana and only about two months after Fords in Minnesota were found full of weed. All of the cars traveled on train from Mexico to their destination. All in, several thousand pounds and several million dollars worth of marijuana has been discovered. According to the report, Immigration and Customs Enforcement found the cars at the Ford Rail Distribution Facility in Woodhaven, Michigan, just south of Ford's world headquarters in Dearborn. ICE became involved after a Ford employee reported the cars to Woodhaven police. It's unclear when and where the cars were packed with marijuana. With the cars in Minnesota, it's believed that the weed was added after leaving the factory but before being loaded on the train. Spare tires were removed and the space was used to smuggle the marijuana. Related Video:

Ford recalling nearly 5,700 2014 F-150s for power steering issue

Wed, 25 Jun 2014

Ford is recalling 5,675 of its 2014 F-150 pickups over an issue with the electric power steering system. There haven't been any injuries or accidents due to the issue.
Ford spokesman Mike Levine told Autoblog that the "electric power-assisted steering and motor position sensor gear were incorrectly installed by a supplier," leading to the recall.
While the recall is larger on the surface, it's important to note that only 260 trucks have been delivered to customers. The remaining pickups are currently en route to dealers. The affected vehicles were manufactured between May 26 and June 19.
