I am selling my truck due to an fall I had in November which left me without the use of my left arm. I just picked it up from the mechanic and put about 500 miles on it  I took it to Madison Wi for mothers day weekend and it was a no worries drive  got tons of compliments on it everyone is so blown away that it is so like new  it drives smooth and perfect but my arm and the nerve damage in my neck will not allow me to drive it around the country as I wanted to when I bought it the nerves in my arm just from last weekend are a mess  so I have to get a newer vehicle  this truck has been kept in a clean dry garage and never been driven in snow or on salted roads.

This is a totally rust free ford truck that I bought from a family who stored it in a garage in Arizona for 30 years.  The boy who owned it died in the service and they could not bear to drive it or let it go for that long.  It is perfect.  because it sat so long I had the motor rebuilt, the brakes and wheel bearings replaced. It has all new alternator, starter, fuel pump with double filters, new battery, relay, and we put electronic ignition in (replaced the points), new hoses, new wires, freeze plug heater.  the carb was also rebuilt. I have receipts for all and it was done locally by a very reputable mechanic who loves Fords.  The motor is warrantied for 90 days 4000 miles the starter, battery, alternator all for one year. the speedometer cable was cleaned and lubricated while the motor was being rebuilt and works perfectly.

the power steering is also excellent as is the exhaust
the gas tank float and sending unit are also newly replaced
the clutch assembly is also new
the radiator is clean and in excellent shape as well

the body is as perfect as it can be
I have included photos of the undercarriage
the mechanic put it up on the lift and he says it is completely totally rust free and has zero bondo  has never ever had rust

the headliner is perfect
the dash is cracked remember originally in Arizona
the steering wheel center cover is cracked
the door handles are solid but the vinyl covers are separating
the seat has always had a blanket cover on it and I have never taken it off
the bed is clean and rust free
the topper is in good shape and is painted to match the truck

the only things that have not been restored are the transmission and the rear end  but both are in excellent condition it drives and shifts smoothly and with no issues at all

this is definitely a truck that is as perfect as is or if you want to make into a a show truck will be a piece of cake you wont be dissappointed and wont find another one this nice for this price

there is no reserve on the auction   you will need to pay cash for the vehicle or wire transfer and arrange picking it up or shiping  I will not pay for shipping or drive to meet you please do not ask  I am happy to work with a shipper for your convenience

good luck with bidding   again it is a totally rust free original body and a wonderful truck

Autoblog's Editors' Picks: Our complete list of the best new vehicles

Mon, May 13 2024

It's not easy to earn an “EditorsÂ’ Picks” at Autoblog as part of the rating and review process that every new vehicle goes through. Our editors have been at it a long time, which means weÂ’ve driven and reviewed virtually every new car you can go buy on the dealer lot. There are disagreements, of course, and all vehicles have their strengths and weaknesses, but this list features what we think are the best new vehicles chosen by Autoblog editors. We started this formal review process back in 2018, so there's quite of few of them now. So what does it mean to be an EditorsÂ’ Pick? In short, it means itÂ’s a car that we can highly recommend purchasing. There may be one, multiple, or even zero vehicles in any given segment that we give the green light to. What really matters is that itÂ’s a vehicle that weÂ’d tell a friend or family member to go buy if theyÂ’re considering it, because itÂ’s a very good car. The best way to use this list is is with the navigation links below. Click on a segment, and you'll quickly arrive at the top rated pickup truck or SUV, for example. Use the back button to return to these links and search in another segment, like sedans. If youÂ’ve been keeping up with our monthly series of the latest vehicles to earn EditorsÂ’ Pick status, youÂ’re likely going to be familiar with this list already. If not, welcome to the complete list that weÂ’ll be keeping updated as vehicles enter (and others perhaps exit) the good graces of our editorial team. We rate a new car — giving it a numerical score out of 10 — every time thereÂ’s a significant refresh or if it happens to be an all-new model. Any given vehicle may be impressive on a first drive, but we wait until itÂ’s in the hands of our editors to put it through the same type of testing as every other vehicle that rolls through our test fleet before giving it the EditorsÂ’ Pick badge. This ensures consistency and allows more voices to be heard on each individual model. And just so you donÂ’t think weÂ’ve skipped trims or variants of a model, we hand out the EditorsÂ’ Pick based on the overarching model to keep things consistent. So, when you read that the 3 Series is an EditorsÂ’ Pick, yes, that includes the 330i to the M3 and all the variants in between. If thereÂ’s a particular version of that car we vehemently disagree with, we make sure to call that out.

Ford F-150 EcoBoost in NHTSA probe for acceleration issue

Tue, 28 May 2013

According to Automotive News, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is launching a probe into 400,000 Ford F-150 models over possible acceleration problems. According to the article, NHTSA has received 95 reports "alleging incidents of reduced engine power during hard accelerations" on 2011 to 2013 F-150 models equipped with the company's 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine.
Automotive News reports that Ford has issued three technical service bulletins "related to intermittent stumble/misfire on acceleration from highway cruise in humid or damp conditions," according to the government agency's documents. About one third of the 95 reports NHTSA has received cited humid or rainy conditions when these problems allegedly occurred.
These technical service bulletins have allowed dealers to address a "condition related to moisture accumulation in the charge air cooler during extended highway cruising at constant throttle in humid or damp conditions," AN reports, citing NHTSA documents. Furthermore, the TSB outlines details for "reprogramming the powertrain control module with the latest calibration and installing a new CAC and air deflector plate."

Weekly Recap: Ferrari, Ford and Porsche power up for Geneva

Sat, Feb 7 2015

Monday was Groundhog Day. Tuesday, apparently, was Sports Car Day. The Ferrari 488 GTB, the Ford Focus RS and the Porsche Cayman GT4 all debuted within hours of each other ahead of their rollouts at the Geneva Motor Show. Three sporty machines, three vastly different approaches – and a lot of implications for enthusiasts. That's a day worth repeating. It also illustrates the opportunities automakers see in the performance market, which is expected to grow in the coming years. Ford estimates the segment has expanded 14 percent in Europe and surged 70 percent in North America since 2009. The Detroit Auto Show was evidence of this, and performance cars of every stripe debuted, including the Acura NSX, Ford GT, Alfa Romeo 4C Spider and several others. This isn't a fad. Performance cars aren't going away. The question is why? Stricter CAFE standards are looming in the United States, as are tighter emissions regulations in Europe. And no one expects gas prices to remain low in America. None of this matters for sports cars, and automakers are increasingly using them to elevate their images. That's why Dodge rolled out two 707-horsepower Hellcats last year. It's why Ford has decided to resurrect the GT for road and track. It's why in the depths of bankruptcy, General Motors continued work on the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, not to mention the Z06. "Great brands are made one car at a time," Ford of Europe president Jim Farley said at the reveal of the Focus RS. Still, companies make those cars for different reasons. View 5 Photos Mainstream brands like Ford and Dodge want to build cars that get people talking, excite their bases and drive more potential customers into the showroom. They probably don't buy a Focus RS or a Hellcat, but suddenly the regular Focus hatch looks a bit hotter, and that V6 Charger seems to be just a touch more muscular. The halo of performance is alive and well in the eyes of automakers and their customers. "It's one of the most effective catalysts for ingenuity and innovation," said Joe Bakaj, vice president of product development for Ford of Europe. That also leads to a trickle-down effect. Some of the technologies inevitably make their way to other products. It's hard to think the new all-wheel-drive system in the Focus RS that distributes torque front to rear and side to side won't be used in other vehicles. It's different for Ferrari and Porsche.
