Hello, I have for sale a 1970 Ford Ranger XLT. It is a factory black truck with dark red and black interior. It is a factory 302 automatic truck. It has power steering and power brakes. Has dual exhaust with turn downs. It runs and drives but I have not used it as a daily driver. It has new cooper cobra tires with later model F100 wheels. The truck has rust in the lower driver front fender and some in the bed. The passenger side has some damage on the door and front of the bed from a light hit. It is not bad and the rocker was not damaged. It could be repaired or replace the door. I have the Marti report on the truck and it was sold new here in Georgia. I do not have a title, it will be sold with a bill of sale only. Georgia does not require a title on vehicles this old. I can provide registration in my name. Please ask all questions before bidding. Thanks, Phil

Mercury rises around sexy Cougar pack
Sat, May 30 2015With a slightly larger body and a more luxurious interior, the Mercury Cougar doesn't carry quite as much cachet among pony car enthusiasts as the venerable Ford Mustang. But don't try to make that argument around Cougar super-fan Mike Brown. Since starting his Cougar collecting in 1988, Brown has become an absolute expert on the model, and he claims to have owned 400 of the Mercury pony cars in that time. Ten of them are in his collection today, not to mention a heap of spare parts in the garage. Check out some of the rarer members of Brown's fleet and allow him to tell you about them in this interesting interview from Electric Federal.
Subprime financing on the rise in new car sales, leasing too
Fri, 07 Dec 2012We all remember the financial crisis that began several years back. At its core was a splurge of subprime lending for housing loans. The housing bubble burst, triggering a collapse of the mortgage-backed securities market. Apparently, those types of loans still exist in the automotive industry, and the market share for these types of "nonprime, subprime, and deep subprime," loans has grown 13.6 percent compared to the third quarter a year ago.
According to an Automotive News report, high-risk lending expanded to 24.8 percent of total loans in Q3, up from 21.9 percent for this time last year. As this level increased, average credit scores of borrowers dropped to 755, down from 763 a year ago. In that time, the average financing amount increased $90 per vehicle, to $25,963.
At 818, Volvo maintains the highest per-owner credit score, while Mitsubishi has the lowest, at 694. The highest rate of borrowers was at Toyota, with 14 percent of the market, followed by Ford with 13.1 percent and Chevrolet at 11.1.
