  • In this auction, we have up for bid 1 running partially complete 1968 FORD pickup truck. This truck was a complete driver when I got it but due to mistakes and tire failures, it is in poor condition.  Due to the fact that I live in the woods, I have to keep mouse traps every where in the Truck so they don't ruin it.  Unfortunately, I forgot to close the hood all the way and the hood flew open, now it is ruined.  I do still have it, however.  Also, I have blown the tread off of at least 3 different tires.  The last one damaged the right rear fender.  I love this truck but I can't keep it in good condition and I don't have room to keep it inside.  So I need to sell it.  It was originally a 3 speed on the column and I installed a later 3 speed overdrive toploader transmission and I took the 3.70 rear end gear out and put in a 3.25 gear rear end.  Now you can drive it 70 miles an hour down the interstate.  This truck is a plain Jane no option truck.  If you put some different tires on it, you can drive this truck anywhere.  Sweet!   I have lowered the truck in the front end by removing three coils out of the coil springs.  This is an original paint, 95% rust free truck from Austin, Texas.  I was going to hot rod this truck and now I want to sell it to someone that can give it a good home.  Please ask questions or call me  319-721-2208.  Thanks Mitch and Sandy.
  • PS:  I forgot, I put new front and rear windshield rubbers, new felt and anti-rattle strips in doors.   Arm rests are not cracked, dash pad is not cracked.
  • THIS IS AN ORIGINAL FORD PART AND FORD PARTS FIT FORDS THE BEST. Please check my other auctions for hard to find FORD parts.
  • Shipping and handling will be determined by shipping address. Other countries will be determined by shipping address.  Pick up only or will deliver gas within 500 miles or meet you half way ?
  • Payment must be received within 10 days or part will be relisted. Please include your item number with your payment. PAYPAL IS ACCEPTED.
  • NO PERSONAL CHECKS ARE ACCEPTED.
  • Thanks for Bidding and Good Luck!!!

Ford Mustang 50th anniversary edition brings in $170k

Tue, 30 Sep 2014

Just the other day, we reported on the first Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat selling for a whopping $825,000 at auction. But impressive as that sum was, the Challenger wasn't the only sought-after modern muscle car to cross the Barrett-Jackson auction block in Las Vegas this past weekend. So did this rare Ford Mustang.
The last of 1,964 special-edition 50 Years Limited Edition pony cars sold for a princely $170,000, with proceeds benefiting the Edith and Benson Ford Heart & Vascular Institute, a branch of the Henry Ford Health System.
The pony car in question is based on the 2015 Ford Mustang GT and upgrades with a performance package and nearly every option on the book, along with a unique appearance package to set it apart in celebration of the Mustang's 50th anniversary. It's available in two exclusive shades - Wimbledon white or Kona blue - with either a manual or automatic transmission. Only 1,964 highly symbolic examples were to be built, and this was the last of them.

Ford Mustang EcoBoost has fake engine soundtrack

Wed, 24 Sep 2014

The 2015 Ford Mustang EcoBoost represents a huge change for the Blue Oval as the first pony car in decades to be available with a four-cylinder engine. But a recent tweet (below) from Road & Track raised our curiosity about the new vehicle. Editor Jason Cammisa pulled a fuse while driving the latest 'Stang with the 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine, and he found that both the stereo and engine went quiet in the cabin. That indicated the coupe might have some form of artificial engine sound being piped in - a feature not previously heavily reported for the model. Autoblog spoke with Ford engineer Shawn Carney who confirmed that only the turbocharged four-cylinder Mustang comes with this system, called Active Noise Control.

Automakers' rush on aluminum may result in shortage

Thu, 13 Feb 2014

Aluminum is the new buzzword in the automotive industry. The latest Range Rover and Range Rover Sport both take advantage of the lightweight material to shave huge amounts of body fat (only it's called "aluminium" over there). Audi and Jaguar have been using the stuff for years in their A8 and XJ, respectively, and now, aluminum is going mainstream, arriving on the 2015 Ford F-150.
While we're excited to see aluminum make an impact outside the premium market, its widespread adoption apparently won't come without some problems, notably in terms of supply. "There isn't an automotive manufacturer that makes vehicles in North America that we're not talking to," Tom Boney, of Novelis, the largest global supplier of aluminum sheetmetal, told The Detroit News.
According to Boney, Ford's use of aluminum on such a large scale has forced auto manufacturers in "every boardroom" to reconsider their plans following the F-150's unveiling, for one simple reason: there's not exactly enough aluminum to go around, at least in the short term. The auto industry presently only accounts for six percent of the aluminum sheet produced, but as the material is adopted by more and more brands, that figure is expected to swell to 25 percent within the next six years.
