1968 Ford F100 Flareside (Stepside), runs, drives, and stops like it should.  This is not a show truck but a great daily driver.  I have a clear Tennessee Title.  Has a 6 cylinder 240 engine with a 3 speed transmission.  The truck has recently been painted the original color of Skyview Blue.  Whoever did the painting and body work did a very good job, but I don’t think it was done by a professional.  The glass is all good except for a couple of stone chips and a small scratch.  I have not found any serious rust.  Tires are good, all the lights and turn signals work, AM/FM radio works, the gauges seem to be accurate, the seat is in good condition, and the horn works.  The interior needs to be painted and restored.  Could use new rubber.

I received almost a 1/2 gallon of the Skyview Blue paint that will go with the truck.  I found a tailgate that will go with the truck.  You can see by the picture that it needs work.  Also included in the sale are Volume’s 1, 2, and 3 of the Shop Manuals, Body Assembly Manual, Wiring Diagram, and the original Owner’s Manual.

This truck is in great shape for its age.  There is No Warranty expressed or implied.  The millage has rolled over and is unknown. The truck is sold as is, and it is for sale locally, so I reserve the right to cancel early.  Shipping arrangements and payment is the buyer’s responsibility.  I will assist in loading.  $500 Paypal non-refundable deposit is due within 24 hours of the end of sale, with the remaining balance due within 7 days via cash or bank check.  Check must clear before pick up.

The truck is located in eastern Tennessee.  You are more than welcome to come and inspect the truck before making a reasonable offer.

Thank You

Ford CEO told Trump 1 million jobs at stake because of fuel economy regs

Sat, Jan 28 2017

Bloomberg is reporting that Mark Fields, Ford's CEO, pushed President Donald Trump for market-driven national fuel economy standards, and that up to a million jobs could be at stake if those national regulations didn't take consumer expectations into account. Fields was reporting on his conversation with Trump in remarks made at the National Automobile Dealers Association in New Orleans, Bloomberg reports. The report also states that he and fellow CEOs Mary Barra of GM and Sergio Marchionne of FCA aren't seeking to eliminate fuel economy standards altogether, but rather to make them more flexible. Bloomberg reports that Fields didn't cite the studies he was referring to in support of his job loss figures, so we can't independently verify Fields' math at this time. But his push to stop selling cars consumers don't want – that is to say, more hybrids and EVs than consumer demand supports right now – is clear. We've already reported on that. To level an educated guess at what will happen next, Trump seems likely to reduce the stringent 2025 fuel economy targets, perhaps freezing them at current levels. The automakers are already invested in producing vehicles that meet current standards, and they also have to think about foreign markets like Europe that aren't likely to relax standards below current levels. If you consider economies of scale, automakers are likely to ask for federal standards that match global standards for their largest markets as closely as possible. We'll see if Trump buys Fields' math, but Ford isn't hedging its bets. Backing out of the Mexican assembly plant cost the company $200 million – not a huge sum compared to the total value of Ford, a massive company which had its second best year ever, but still an important gesture to Trump about Ford's priorities. J Mays on the 2015 Ford Mustang

Thu, 05 Dec 2013

J Mays, head of design at Ford, may be retiring from the company after 16 years, but not before showing the world his swan song: the 2015 Mustang. Ford officially revealed its new coupe and convertible to the public at events around the world on Thursday, including a live unveiling on ABC's Good Morning America, and Mays was in attendance at the automaker's home event in Dearborn, MI, which is where we caught up with him for a few words about his new baby.
"It's a joy" to design the Mustang, Mays told Autoblog, adding that this sixth-generation coupe is his "favorite design so far." Of course, the 2015 model takes cues from all of the generations that came before it, but Mays said it was important to edit down the specific elements from previous models, leaving just enough off to let the customer "participate and fill in the blanks."
"If it doesn't sell itself, you probably aren't a Mustang fan."

Ford of Europe celebrates Mondeo's 20th anniversary

Wed, 25 Sep 2013

Ford's European operations are celebrating a milestone of sorts as the Mondeo, the Blue Oval's bread-and-butter D-segment sedan in the old country, celebrates its 20th anniversary. The mid-sizer, which was sold in the US for a short time as the Contour, has been a far more popular vehicle in Europe - even receiving regular praise from one Jeremy Clarkson.
Narrated by Cockney actor Ray Winstone, the video goes through the Mondeo's years and how it's evolved from 1993 to the as-yet-unreleased fifth-generation model, which is essentially the same as the Ford Fusion that's sold in America. Take a look below for the full video from Ford of Europe.
