1967 Ford F100 Short Bed Fleetside Truck SEE VIDEO: http://youtu.be/HzGZ19a_9A8 3 on Tree Manual Transmission Air Conditioning (not operating) Snow Tires with lots of tread Solid Floors This truck spent its life at Phantom Lakes Ranch in Red Feather Colorado, in which it was then auctioned off. I purchased the truck from the gentleman that won the auction. He claimed that the truck’s mileage is the actual mileage (18,000 which is not hard to believe, especially if it spent its entire life on a ranch), I cannot verify this. The truck appears to have maybe been repainted on at least the interior, maybe interior and exterior. The paint has a cool original faded, but still nice look to it, this is my favorite color that ford did on these trucks, very tough to find. The engine has a rebuild stamp on it. The truck has the Air Conditioning components but the fan doesn’t come on, could be as much as a fuse, haven’t looked into. The engine is the smoothest running straight 6 engine ive ever come across, so I have no doubt the motor has been rebuilt, but again, I cannot verify this, but it runs extremely smooth and balanced. The gears engage and shift as they should and don’t bind up like chevy 3 on the trees usually do (at least hasn’t happened to me yet). The truck runs nice and cool, (currently 100 degrees here), did not over heat, or even act like it wanted to while sitting and idling for quite some time while at drive through carwash yesterday afternoon. The body has some rust areas but nothing too bad, the floors appear to be solid and there isn’t any rust that ive see on the under carriage. The wipers, headlights, blinkers, heater, AM Radio all work, all gauges and dummy lights work. This truck is an awesome daily driver, would make a great ranch truck, restore, or even shop truck. It runs and drives great. Kansas Title in Hand, I have transfer paperwork from Kansas (this is where the winner of the auction was from) 209-505-4627 Please no calls or texts after 9pm
I have described it to the best of my ability and as honestly as I can, Please call with questions.
No warranty, all sales are final, puchase as is where is, If payment terms are not met, I will cancel the transaction, deposit is NON REFUNDABLE. I have payment terms specified in the auction for a reason, its not my fault if bidder doesn’t read them. I will also not be responsible for setting up a shipper, if you cant find a transporter, that is not my problem, and winning bidder still owns the truck. I will however help out in being available for pick up. Paypal accepted for deposit only, full payment in person, cashiers check or bank wire, if buyer insists on paying through paypal buyer is responsible for paypal fees. I can end auction at anytime. On Jul-07-14 at 07:23:10 PDT, seller added the following information: This truck is claimed to be a very low mileage truck. The mileage on the truck is the original mileage per the original owners, and the auction the second owner purchased from, I cannot verify this. |

Ford F-250 boots Cadillac Escalade from atop thieves' most-wanted list
Tue, 09 Jul 2013The Ford F-Series has been America's best-selling truck for decades, but along with the good comes the bad, apparently. In addition to being popular with consumers, the Highway Loss Data Institute notes that the F-Series Super Duty has risen in popularity among thieves. Based on its new study, the four-wheel drive crew cab F-250 Super Duty has topped the list for the country's highest rate of insurance theft claims, knocking the Cadillac Escalade from the top spot - a distinction the luxury SUV has held since this annual report was first established in 2003.
To reach its findings, HLDI looks at theft data from the previous three model years (in this case 2010-2012) to determine the frequency of claims for a particular make and mode,l as well as the average payment per claim. As the report points out, the claims aren't always for the theft of the entire vehicle - they can include components (say, wheels and tires) or property taken from the vehicle. At seven claims per 1,000 insured vehicles, the F-250 is six times more likely to suffer a theft claim than the average vehicle.
The Cadillac likely dropped from the top of the list to sixth due to additional theft-prevention features including a steering wheel lock and inclination sensor for the alarm, but GM's other fullsize trucks and SUVs still occupy eight of the list's 10 spots. Some of the least stolen vehicles with below-average loss payments include the Lexus HS250h, Hyundai Tucson, Honda CR-V and Dodge Journey. Head on over to the HLDI's website for the full list that shows the most and least popular vehicles among thieves from 2010 through 2012.
Ford C-Max Solar Energi takes a recharging station wherever it goes
Wed, 08 Jan 2014Companies ranging in size from small startups to major automakers have been experimenting with solar-powered charging stations for EVs and plug-in hybrids. And, of course, people have been powering vehicles with onboard solar panels for quite some time, too. Still, Ford's new C-Max Solar Energi Concept shows the promise of a truly practical implementation of solar on a production vehicle, and it may not be as far off in the future as we had thought.
As we reported a few days ago, the Solar concept makes use of a "concentrator lens" that focuses sunlight onto the Ford's roof-mounted solar panels. The special lens follows the rays of the sun to maximize the amount of charge being fed to the batteries of the car, taking about a day to fully charge the 21-mile, all-electric range of the C-Max Energi. Ford data suggests that combination might be enough to power 75 percent of all trips made by a statistically average driver. In turn, using the sun to power a vehicle could reduce yearly C02 emissions by up to four metric tons when compared with the driver of an average gasoline-powered sedan.
We've got live images of the C-Max Solar Energi Concept, jauntily tilted on its display to best present it's signature solar panels, straight from the CES floor.
Thanks for keeping us on our toes, Detroit Auto Show [w/poll]
Wed, Jan 14 2015Here at Autoblog, we love unexpected debuts at auto shows – and judging by our Detroit Auto Show comments and traffic, you do, too. Surprise reveals have been fewer and farther between in recent years with so many ways for vehicles to be teased or leak out, but this week's show has been a revelation. More to the point, it's been a series of revelations, with automakers from around the globe successfully delivering a brace of concept and production surprises. It's made our jobs a lot more exciting and challenging this week, and even though it's actually more work to react and run-and-gun when the sheet is pulled on a surprise reveal than it is to publish an already-written embargoed story, we've had more fun covering this show for you than any domestic show in memory. We hope you've enjoyed the surprises along with us. To that end, borrowing the words of an unnamed automaker PR flack, we'd like to thank the following automakers for enduring "mountain of antacids" and that "creeping sense of paranoia" necessary to keeping ones' wares totally under wraps until the sheets are pulled off the sheetmetal: Buick Avenir concept Chevrolet Bolt concept Ford GT concept Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R Ford F-150 SVT Raptor Hyundai HCD-15 Santa Cruz concept And while we're at it, we'd like to throw in an shout-out to Detroit's substantially revised and revitalized Cobo Center, and in particular, the redone Michelin media center, which is arguably the single best accommodations for writing show stories that we've encountered on the entire international circuit. Well done, everyone. Thank you, and keep the surprises coming. Auto News Detroit Auto Show Buick Chevrolet Ford Hyundai Volvo 2015 Detroit Auto Show
